finally thankyou bhvr for getting rid of SR so people can stop acting like 99% of the time they lose the person they got beat by has SR even tho there is literally no way to tell unless they are a streamer or say it on their steam profile and also it was actually busted against ghostface so thats cool for him also new killer and surv perks are cool so many people here just love to hate instead of actually giving bhvr credit where its due

You can actually still do this and see over tiles just fyi even in the base game. Obviously not to the degree of what it was but survivors will still do this.

I do that and i don’t use stretch resolution. If I angle my camera correctly I can still see out of the corner on loops.

I also didn't see a bunch of post repeatedly everyday on the forums so I'm pretty sure it wasn't a huge majority using it as an excuse 100% of the time.
I seen way more camping and tunneling threads then stretch res

That's because you can only speculate whether the other person was running SR, whereas when you're camped/tunnelled, it's something observable that's directly happened to you (and even then it's easy to get wrong - I've seem too many accusations of camping/tunnelling that were nothing more than survivor misplays)

Not really if you play both sides you'll notice spot as a survivor that you can't make reads till the last second yet when you were playing killer the survivor always seems to be in perfect position even when attempting to mindgame. There is alot of obvious spot and then there's if your playing GF.
I can't tell you how many times I've been called a camper or tunneler and I didn't do either. Survivors where already at the hook or they lead me back and the unhooked and then bt bodyblocked me and called me a camper tunneler.

I can't believe we finally got rid of an issue that was admittedly considered cheating by BHVR a long time ago and a lot of respected names in the community yet people are still here making these types of comments/threads/videos 🤣 If you're salty that you have to play native and can't use stretched res combined with 19 different filters to help you play better than others with equal or worse hardware in a semi-casual party game then just say that
People be rocking a $3,000 setup vs Nintendo Switch/PS4 players talking about "It doesn't provide that much of an advantage, only a little bit. I do it for the FPS bro" as they make content inflating their skill against players with outdated rigs. Conveniently the two maps impacted the most (Macmilan & Autohaven) are the two focal points of competitive play and the former's Coal Tower variation is widely considered by the general public as the most neutral map you can bring. Sounds like you guys are projecting onto the victims of this type of sweaty play because deep down y'all know you're not going to be pulling off the same plays as consistent and will not be special anymore. You guys are setting up your own excuses but then trying to shame people that have had to deal with this for years

Good survivors don’t need stretch res to loop, I have never seen streamers like ayrun or probzz use stretch res and they can loop for ages.
The only thing that changes is that people can’t accuse the other side of using stretch res anymore though they will probably call them hackers now. It can never be their own fault

I never said I’m salty, I’ve never used stretch res and never will. All I’m saying is that the survivors that are currently using it will still be able to loop really well even without it. It’s just that killers can’t blame stretch res for their loss anymore

Anybody that lost to someone using stretched res was not outplayed. Their opponent was cheating.
If you needed to use stretched res to win, you probably won't win now. So we won't need to make excuses.

I mean it was pretty much proven that stretched rez would give survivors sight advantages over certains loops that killers couldn't do and then there's blight mains that'd run stretched rez with blown out gamma making it look like they were running through a goddamn wormhole of sorts. Of course such eye bleeding visuals done by these players were all for "aesthetic" purposes and not abusing gpu resolutions to gain an advantage over other players. Whether or not people will complain about something else for their losses is up to them, I can't control that and I don't care. I'm just glad people can't abuse stretched rez anymore and play the game properly like everyone else.

I've never had an issue with people doing whatever the ___ they want, just tell it like it is and own it proudly
If somebody wants to use stretched res I don't mind at all, they should just humbly acknowledge that they're actively abusing an advantage in a casual party game and shouldn't get salty when people point that out or if they have a problem coping with a loss against it

While it’s true you don’t need stretched res to be a good looper, it’s also true that stretched res gives a noticeable advantage. It’s why when you watch survivors in spectator mode in tournaments they’re always looking straight down, they almost all use stretched res for the extra edge.
So yeah, it’s not a magic silver bullet that guarantees wins but it’s still cheating so good riddance.
