The emblem system doesn’t make sense for killer

I don’t really get it. The goal of the killer is to kill while the survivors goal is to escape. They get a bunch of points for escaping and can still pip if they didn’t escape.

but why are killers punished so heavily if they do everything in their power to get a kill

for an example, it was stated by the devs that the emblem system and “wins” are when you kill survivors. So why do you get punished for not chasing survivors enough or for proxy camping survivors?

if I kill 2 survivors I should be guaranteed a pip, it doesn’t really make sense that I kill 2 people and only get brutal killer

  • After a certain point you really have to stop looking at your medals or gauging your gameplay by a reward system... the game isnt designed to support MMR and the old emblem system together

    Basically to get the fullest emblems you must have lots of successful chases, lots of hits, and lots of hooks. And all that takes time.

    Any other playstyle hurts those emblems badly, especially camping. The currently favored playstyles for killer don't support the emblems at all, as others have stated.

    Camping is a boring and weak playstyle which should not be rewarded anyways, a more dynamic playstyle makes for a more interesting and fun match for everyone.

    Personally I find it 10x easier to level up as killer than survivor.

    If you mean "points" as "Bloodpoints" - yeah, this is a lot you get as Survivor when you escape. However, this is the only real income for Survival Bloodpoints, if you dont escape, you get a lot less in that category (but the Devs have at least improved it a bit).

    Survivors are also punished if they do everything in their power to escape aka doing Gens as fast as possible. Survivors who do only Gens will not pip and maybe even depip.

    This is also a reason why Altruism is rated high on the Emblem-System (aka it is easy to get Iridescent in Altruism) - if it would be hard, less people would do that, letting others die on Hook.

    Emblem system doesn't make sense for plague.

    It's so very sad that I FINALLY find a killer I love and would like to main only to find out how much her BP and emblem gain sucks.

    It's like a hidden debuff, it should be stated clearly in her description

    "Warning: by purchasing this killer you agree to a 60% penalty on gained BP and renounce to iridescent devious emblem when using her"
