Boons (Full Analysis)
Recap: The last time I types about Boons I mainly had complaints about Circle of Healing, which luckily they kinda nerfed. I've seen the new Boon as well, so in this I will go over all of them based on what they do, what then effect in gameplay, and my analysis on them. Note that this is my opinion and also for entertainment purposes only. If you have a different opinion, that's perfectly fine.
Boon: Circle of Healing -
- 65/70/75 % bonus to all Healing speeds.
- Unlocks the Self-Care ability, allowing to self-heal without needing a Med-Kit
- Reduces Personal Healing speed by -50 %.
- Benefits from the general Healing Speed bonus.
As most survivors and killers know about this perk, it is one of the most powerful and annoying perks in the game to use and go against. Multiple survivors can heal in a single use of it, players don't need to waste time finding another person for a heal when they have no med-kit of self-healing perk, killer has to waste time snuffing it out, and so on. This perk is extremely powerful as well against juggling killers; take for example: Legion, Wraith, etc. The only real counter from what I've noticed in this is to either mass slug quickly, kill a single person with the boon even quicker, or play Plague.
Boon: Dark Theory (New) -
- 2 % Haste
- Status Effect.
- This effect lingers for 2/3/4 seconds after leaving the Boon Totem's range.
This is an interesting perk and I've played against it a few times and I have played a few SWFs with it. To what I can see what this does, this probably the worst Boon of the four. It doesn't exactly do anything crazy which is really nice, but it could be useful, just in very specific situations or against certain killers (take range killers for example). I've played against this and it really just doesn't do too much for the survivor, can be used to buy a little bit of time though. If you have anything to add on, lemme know and I'll look into it.
Boon: Exponential -
- 90/95/100 % bonus to the Recovery speed.
- Unlocks the Self-Recovery ability, allowing you to fully recover from the Dying State
- Unbreakable but in a nutshell. Many slugging killers, such as Huntress, Blight, Nurse, etc. hate going against this perk. This perk takes out slugging, but it's also, in a way, very situational. Reason I say this is because they need to be in the Dome of Effect. If this does happen to a killer however, it can be very annoying and difficult to get everyone dead at that moment which could cost them the game. However, when playing a regular, fast-paced killer (Spirit, Pig, Nemesis, etc.) for just downs, it doesn't trouble you almost at all.
Boon: Shadow Step -
- Scratch Marks are suppressed.
- Auras are hidden from The Killer
- Both effects linger for 2/3/4 seconds after leaving the Boon Totem's range.
This isn't a bad perk at all and is surprisingly underused at higher MMR (doesn't mean I don't see it). This perk has amazing stealth potential to give to any survivor within it which can be very helpful on hiding your location from a lot of killer location perks. This can also give a lot of confusion to killers due to them used to using their eyes instead of their ears to locate where a survivor is going. Not too many problems with it besides to the people who can't track terribly well.
And that's all four boons. I tried to make just a little rundown of them all and not an essay for you lot. Feel free to say whatever ya like and give your opinions. I wasn't going to list everything that I looked into on Boons. If you have any questions too, I'm always open to them.

Same, just delete Mikaela, give Jonah an off-brand unbreakable, and give the new survivor an off-brand Hope before calling it day.

Just curious but has the circle of healing been nerfed to where boon totems are only active for a certain amount of time? Because I've used it twice today and both times I thought the killer snuffed it out but he didn't and it was still there to be reused. I was able to reuse the same totem but I still don't know why it was shut off to begin with? is this something new or is it that I got a glitch in my game because my gameplay is acting a little weird anyway and sometimes it's also like pause-glitching (since the most recent update and it never did that before) for a second at times and when it happens during a skill check, it kills me so if anybody can help me out with some info, I appreciate it, thanks

Old boon used to be where it was 100% healing speed rather than 75%.

If Coh wasn't unlimited and unable to work across multiple stories it would be better.
The best counter for it is just to tunnel every surv you can, you can't heal when you're on a hook.
