COH: passive heal instead of unlocking self care
COH now heals you passively if you stay in totem radius. Full heal takes 60s and you can do something else during that time. Bonus healing reverted to 100%
New COH still provides fast heals but fixes main problem: infinite healing without teammates. If you really want to heal yourself you have to waste 60s in totem radius which i think is pretty decent delay for the killer.
You can use totems strategically and boon them near the gen you're planning to do to passively heal while repairing. I think that's more fun than just boon in the corner and run there and heal every time you're injured
With this change self healing should be still possible but not viable in most situations. That should solve Huge infinite healing problem which is COH right now

60 secs is…quite a long time. I hate CoH but for this suggestion to be considered bring to time down to 20 sec (equivalent to the hem syringe).
75% bonus healing from others, 20 sec passive heal, disable self healing without a medkit.
and just to make it not so meh with the nerf, auras of injured survivors within the boon radius are seen by other survivors within 40 meters

Syringe is overtuned, that's not really a good frame of comparison.

Also, like botany knowledge and self-care let’s add longevity to medkits, so a 50% efficiency bonus to medkits when using them within the boon radius

BHVR’s favorite number is 20. 20 second effects, 20% bonuses, 20,20,20.
Having infinite syringe vs infinite 75% self heal sounds more fair.

The issue with the auto self healing is that it heals mid chase.
So a looping 20 second self heal might as well make any competent survivor immortal.

Infinite 20 second healing is what it does right now, but with self-care.
You are making a BUFF for it, not a nerf.

A one minute self-heal time within a certain radius of a boon is not a creative nerf. That’s an entire hook state.

yes it is. Either wait, find teammates, use medkit or don't heal, also you can boon near the gen if you're lucky. On the moment you complete the gen you're healed

Assuming it doesn’t work in chase and it’s not necessarily near a gen you can work on, 60 seconds of doing literally nothing to heal yourself is too long. That’s losing almost an entire gen just to get back one health state.
Now what I could see, maybe, is a different perk which let a survivor heal slowly passively all the time such that they gain a health state every 60 seconds. In that case the survivor could opt not to spend time actively healing themselves at all but stick to gens, being chased, healing other people, etc, and as long as they aren’t getting re-hit by the killer over that time they benefit from periodically being healed for free. It would be slower than Self-Heal but have the advantage you can be actively doing other things the entire time which would make it better for multitasking.

Honestly good balanced solution for COH is to remove self healing part completely, But i went with gimmick replacement which is not very effective and can work sometimes but you shouldn't rely on it.
It's fun side effect now. Main effect is 100% healing bonus

You know this is actually interesting. What if instead of 60 seconds, it's 32, the same as self care? It'll be self-care but for passive healing. But I do think this is interesting since there's not a of healing perks that are passive.

The issue is with looping auto healing is healing mid chase could cause survivors to become effectively immortal if it was at a strong enough structure.
Plus passively healing while on a generator is a powerful effect as it effectively lets you take two actions at once(Self healing/repairing) so it has to be less efficient then doing either.

Yes, that's why I think minute is reasonable

Could be interesting. That means if you work on a generator while the totem's up you also get a health state back. It's not something you can exploit with a minute long and you could theoretically use it during chase if you're confident enough.
