Do you ragequit?
I have had countless experiences like this. It just happened again.
So now I’m back at the lobby waiting for a new game. Probably in an hour?

I think I did it once. But that was after many other frustrating games. You never know what the person had to deal with before.
Now that I take the game less serious I don't do that though anymore.1 -
as Nurse? never and im not playing with hex perks so this cant happen for me.
as Survivor? insta dc against every Nurse otherwise also never.
not even when i got tunneled and mori´d after like 10 seconds2 -
Never.
Bringing a hex perk is a gamble, it is rare that the totem lasts the majority of the game.
Myself has started next to a burning totem plenty of times amd I feel giddy as hell, so it would be a pretty twofaced thing to dc when it happens to me.
But same, been having people dc for that same reason many times.1 -
No, unless it's a real life situation3
-
I’ve only ever ragequit once as survivor: when a Legion would keep giving up chases just to catch me, a non-toxic Laurie Strode using DS only when it was most needed: when you’ve got no more chances, when he’s picking you up for your third hook.
As Killer? It’s been such a stressful experience I now refuse to play as anything else other than my main, Spirit. I only ever have fun playing Killer with her and I’ve never had fun games as any of the other killers.
I’m not ashamed of it. If I’m not having fun I do as I would with any other game: try having fun again and then stopping myself from playing it any further if the fun stops. Why force yourself to continue doing something you dislike or something that stresses you out?1 -
Nope. The only thing that would make me end the game prematurely are a bug/exploit that prevents it from ending or an IRL circumstance that prevents me from finishing the game.1

I deal with whatever. it may be frustrating, but I toss it up to randomness if Ruin will even be effective. I have only ever rage quit when someone used the Pale Rose exploit to trap me a while back. that's fixed now though (I think)

I have as survivor but I try not too it don't help anyone.

My only dc to date has been when I got healed into a wall by some demon called Kate. Still she deserved it the ****ing piece of ****, you know she deserves a right ***** in the ****** ****.0
-
I don't disconnect, if I'm losing, I just accept that I'm losing. Playing killer is like the least stressful thing for me, I don't care--I just stroll around looking for people to bop. I lose a lot, especially because I'm not a good killer, so WHATEV.
As a survivor, I have disconnected once. It was against the doctor and I was just tired as hell of running into doctors.
1 -
I dont really rage in this game. Im on Paxil, so the medication helps. I do disconnect a lot, though.
1 -
I just kinda ragequit a game. A stupid Dwight kept fast vaulting a window next to me, Spirit got me and hooked me in the basement and I got to 2nd phase, almost dead and no one ever tried to get closer to see if they could save me.0
-
I never disconnect as Survivor or Killer. That wouldn't be nice for the other people in the game. I will however suicide on the hook if the killer's ping is laggy as hell. As a killer if I'm losing badly to a SWF team I will stop trying to down people, and ignore the survivors.

No. I know where they are and I can catch them ridiculously fast with my Billy. If they teabag me after my Hex: Ruin is destroyed then I sometimes do smack them on hook but never DC.

not even when i got tunneled and mori´d after like 10 secondsWhat's wrong with facing Nurse? She's not that bad to face. Just hide, she's not scary, she's just strong. There is a difference between scary and strong.

Never. I really hate it when anyone DCs tbh0
-
Not really, It could have been just a noob with good luck. You never know how good that match will be if you dont stay.

No.

i have never once rage quit, i may scream into a pillow annoyed, or go on a swear rant, but no i don't RQ
0 -
No, I don't even use hex perks because I see it as a risk as they can be gone in few minutes. Anyway I never dced as a killer.
As a survivor I dc if someone facecamp me for no reason. Or if I have terrible lags. Otherwise no.
0 -
Only when playing killer and I've been thrashed but there refusing to leave unless they teabag me spamming noise and everything and I get tried of wating then get insulted for having to quit so I can play a new game0
-
I never disconnected, I have a lot of bad games but usually if the games gone so far downhill I just end up messing around instead, No point getting myself all worked up and they end up escaping anyway. at least this way i get to have a little bit of fun too.
1 -
I don't understand why someone would play killer if they are scared their totem gets nailed within the first minute of play.
Don't play killer if you can't handle that mental stress. It really isn't that big of a deal to cry about it.

well like you said theres a difference between scary and strong and im not dcing because shes scary

Blood points are the goal. I would never DC and give up those BP. Even a loss gets you to progress on a blood web.
1 -
Why the ######### would I ragequit over losing my hex? It's a gamble to use a hex to begin with.
1 -
No, it's extremely rare that I rage quit.
2 -
Quitting when your hex goes down is the equivalent of quitting when you miss your DS or are found first. Don’t dc. It either screws the game for the others or doesn’t let them play at all. Just play the game. If you lose, you lose. Most of the time, when my hex goes down instantly, I still play and have a good game.3
-
It’s ridiculous people are justifying quitting. It’s just such a pathetic thing to do- I’m amazed so many garbage-people want to announce it.2

Oh because she's way too strong. Fair enough I guess. She can dominate a team with little effort.

If I do d/c as a killer its because the survivors are trying to mine salt out of me and since I'm immune to teabagging and unbalanced swf knowing all the loops and counterplay, I just take it as them dragging my game out for too long and give them 10 minutes from the time I give up to finish the level before I dc for wasting my time. > @ToxicAddiction said:

Well, there's Irl stuff, that's justified
There's swf refusing to do their last gen because they want to spend an hour taunting you into chasing them after you gave up to let them do the gen and leave which was my experience and why now I would D/C if I see a team about to win and they stop to just taunt. I'd rather they stay in game to farm and search chests than freaking try to start chases and run circles around me after the exit gates are open. Its a waste of time and I don't find it fun since I dont know the purpose.Edit: by taunt i dont mean teabag by thee exit gate, I mean purposely run around the map loudvaulting, hiding in lockers until 3 crows are making notifications, just trying to make me chase them after the gates are open and they can leave for no reason other than watching me look for them for lols. Its literally dragging the game out.

I ragequit sometimes, only playing killer but when I get extremely frustrated and tilted because I get a lot of bad games in a row and I lost my patience. As survivor almost never, maybe 5 or 6 times in hundreds of hours.
I also ragequit (not exactly ragequit) once when I got into Coldwind as killer for 5th consecutive time, is one of my least favourite map, specially when playing pig, that was not exactly a ragequit, I simply was tired of the map.0 -
Legion with Frank's mixtape and/or moonwalking always tempts me. Can't run, hide, or loop. He doesn't even kill you quickly.
Edit: Grammar mistake.Post edited by WaffleFalafel on0 -
If I would always ragequit when my hex totem is gone in less than a minute, then I would probably be banned by now

Sometimes if I'm just having a super bad day and all my games aren't good at all. Then, you might see a rq from me and I ain't gonna lie about it.
0 -
Nah. It might look like it, though.
I mean i got into a trial and I was rubber banding like hell. I couldn't escape.
I got hooked, and no one was coming to save me, so I tried to Kobe, then the lag messed up my struggle.
Got accused of rage quitting, but it was not the case.

The number of times i have rage quit in this game i can count on one hand. I for sure dont make a habit of it and i despise the action. We are human beings after all and emotion does get the better of us though. First time i did it was when i had survivors trying to be toxic while i was in a terrible mood. They teabagged once and i insta DCed. Second time if i remember correctly it was because i got the backwater swamp 4 times in a row (without offerings). Was getting sick of playing the map over and over so i left the moment it loaded in. There were a few other times but those are the only ones i remember the details of.

Depends.
I have only quit when I got tunneled for no good reason. And proper tunneled. My teammates took hits for me and unhooked me, but said killer was very focused on getting just me. He didn't camp the hook. But every time I got unhooked, he would look and go straight for me. Didn't even bother hooking the others, for god knows what reason.
So I left, instead of just getting upset and getting my time wasted.
Thankfully, tunneling to this extent has only happened a handful of times.

I have dced once or twice in a few hundred hours and that was due to the ping being stupidly high and unable to move without going further back than forward.

As killer when I get coldwind or autohaven..
As survivor when it's a trash map or the match is laggy.

I've been playing this game for a year now and Ive always kept up with it ever since it first came out, but I have only DC'd 2 times in this game and that was when I was playing survivor.
One was when I was being Insidious camped by a Leatherface in basement with 3 gens left and right as I was going into struggle all three gens popped on and Exit gates were being open (Playing solo btw.)
So as I'm struggling I seen one of my teammates trying to come rescue me, so I DC'd so they wouldn't get caught either. All 3 got out and the LF was pissed.
The other time I DC'd was because me and my buddy decided to play together and we ran across two random survivors which we found out quickly was working with the killer and were using Bond to help the killer find us and farm points off of us. So me and my buddy quit and reported them all.0 -
Only if something comes up in real life. When I was younger I had a huge rage issue and ended up shattering a controller. After that I forced myself to learn to remain calm, and now I just enjoy the game.

Only circumstances I will disconnect is;
- If the connection is horrible and I am lagging all over the place
- A killer and survivor are working together to screw the rest of us over
- A killer is hacking
0 -
I'm currently too lazy to smash my space button so I will probably die on the second hook.
If that's counting then yes.0 -
Oh my god, “blows your hex to the stratosphere” is my new favourite quote.0
