Why don't people enjoy facing Huntress?
This actually confuses me a lot. I personally like going against Huntress because her chasing is quite unique and outplaying a good Huntress is always so satisfying. But I recently read a post about "who is your least favourite killer to face". And to my surprise, I saw many people say Huntress.
Why? Is it because you can get hit around corners because of the servers? Or is it something more?

Getting hit around corners is main thing that makes it not a great time. Also getting 0 chase points because she can be back far enough to not trigger a chase is annoying.

Generally, yes. But if they're a basement wifi warlord, my enjoyment rapidly starts to diminish. Though that's less of a Huntress problem and more me being frustrated that having bad internet is still an advantage in year 6.

I was one of those people. This is why

- annoying lullaby (Freddy’s is better)
- most importantly so many people play her and it gets so boring and annoying after a while. I’m not lying I had on night where I only played 5 matches. I couldn’t take it anymore more 4 huntress and 1 bubba. I’m not kidding. Her hatches are not that difficult to Dodge tho. look at the stats the devs put, she is the most played killer. It’s just boring. I never liked huntress anyway which is a very unpopular opinion

I only hate huntress because I am almost 100% positive I have not faced a single huntress where I didn’t get hit by her throwable dumpsters around a corner

After a while getting whacked in the head by whale tail hatchets around from three blocks away and behind a corner you just kinda want the pain to stop.
Though this is dbd where the lore actually states the pain never stops. You can only become an empty husk in the void or a killer.

And the fact she's a free killer with the base game means she's played sooo much.

I know and i don´t care.
Her song annoys me, that she is walking around with her hatchet ready and throws across half of the map also annoys me.
I know it takes some skill to do well but again - i don´t care. When i face her she is mostly good and therefore annoying.

I hate going against Huntress because of her bad hatchet hitboxes. That and I face her a lot already.

The previous 3 months it felt like every other game was a huntress, to the point I got sick of it and came to hate seeing her since it felt like nobody played anyone except huntress.

I don't enjoy facing huntress. the song gets annoying really fast, the hatchet hitboxes can be broken in either side's favor, and there's just not much variety in playing against her

I only hate her when I play against her four times in a row and everyone brings corrupt.

I got bored of going against her a long time ago because she’s played so often. If I see like one huntress in 2-3 days I’m fine with that but anything more and I get tired of her fast.
I don’t inherently dislike huntress, I just want some more variety. One time I had like a 1-week span where probably 25% or more of my matches were against huntress.

I enjoy facing huntresses most of the time when i play survivor, but some hits do look extremely sketchy hitbox wise.

As someone who mostly plays Huntress when playing Killer, I can honestly understand why some dislike her. She is a killer that if played well can snipe people from crazy distances and across the map when in high level play, and as said before the hitboxes of the hatchets are so wack that it can either screw her or screw you as a Survivor. On the other side, though, playing against a bad Huntress is a snoozefest because of how unintuitive her hatchet throws can be and how useless she is without her hatchets. A bad Huntress will miss everything, be easy to dodge and leave the Survivors playing press M1 simulator until the gates opened. Not really the most interesting gameplay for either side. Add on top of this that she is the most popular Killer and it really is no wonder a lot of people can get sick of her, even if nothing else because of repetition.

Especially a good huntress makes you feel like you have no options at all. It is often forgotten that she came out when survivors were much stronger than they are now. There's been a lot of slow down perks added as well as maps been axed into smaller deadzones and so dodging 5 or more hatchets is impossible. While all of this happened as well as dedicated servers, Huntress has remained the same. She's just broken now in a very overpowered kind of way.

It entirely depends. If she's awful it's kind of boring, but kind of makes me feel great to be able to pretend I'm good against a Huntress.
If she's pretty decent with a good internet connection then it can be a lot of fun to try and outplay her when I know that she is very likely to read me and call me on my BS. It feels like every whiff of the axe was well earned and a frantic chase for survival as I'm so concerned with each axe that flies by that I'm not even trying to count them. I love when I think I mind gamed her and dodged, only to realize that she hasn't thrown the axe yet. She was just biding her time to see me over commit and the moment I can't take it back then down I go.
A patient huntress feels like a puppet master, she hands me the shovel and forces me to dig my own grave.
If she's a god I just get destroyed instantly and move to the next game.

This! I can't stand her anymore. I only played a couple hours today because almost all of them were Huntress players. I took a break after that.

It’s inconsistent one match it 150 another it’s 70. But yeah I just find pig and huntress boring to play against. Yesterday I had a match against the huntress where I dodged like 8 of her 10 hatches. She connected on one impressive shot and the other through a wall. We died because it’s was solo que and no one on could last long in chase. I played 5 matches today, 2 were pigs🥱. When I find out it’s a pig I feel unmotivated to play. I’d rather go up against the top nurse player than anyone of these two killers. I can’t wait for this tome to be over soon

I like facing Huntress, when she is used sparingly. Before Nurse was disabled, Huntress was the killer I faced the most. That plus the bullshit hitboxes she has, can make you begin to hate her.

I hate facing Huntress.
First and foremost let me point out that this is subjective. Huntress is not overpowered, should not be nerfed and is by design a good Killer with fun interactions. There is nothing wrong with her.
I however hate playing against a Huntress. No single Killer, tunneled or camped me as much as Huntress and yes, this includes Bubba. No single Killer got as many unreasonable hit against me as Huntress and not Killer bad mannered more often than Huntress. Nothing like playing against a Huntress with high ping where her axes are the size of a baseball...
I have little to no good matches against Huntresses. And it is not because I lose against her. I get killed plenty and my worst match-up kill wise should be Pyramide Head or Hag. And I rather face ten Pyramide Heads or ten Bubbas in a row now than to play against two Huntresses back to back...
Again, please note that this is very personal. I get that people enjoy Huntress, I do not think she is a bad Killer, however I only have bad memories about this Killer and therefor hate facing her.

Huntress is one of or the is the most selected killer and facing her over and over becomes extremely tedious. I don't like ranged attacks in general and while Huntress can be very easy to loop due to her slow base movement speed, BS hits around corners etc are all too common as hitboxes are too big.
It is generally an unpopular opinion I think as the reaction to my dislike of Huntress is generally surprise and negative overall.

I play huntress as killer so when I’m survivor it’s pretty interesting to employ the same tactics that was used against me.
I understand how hitbox and latecy work in this game so it doesn’t bother me when I get hit around the corner, this knowledge also allows me to sometimes fake a turn against her.

Just imagine if her place as a free killer was swapped with Trickster and I think that you can appreciate her more, again :)

She’s not my least favorite killer to go up against, but I no longer have fun against her. The only Huntresses I run into these days are the snipers with the patience of a monk. I try my damndest to be unpredictable and switch up my movement- but to no avail. As soon as I get that long pause with my first encounter with her, I know it’s going to be a rough match.

I don't like facing Huntress because the whole character feels boring or basic (can't place the right word to use). She just seems so overhyped, probably the most out of any character in this game. The fact that some people who play this game only play as her... I can't imagine why. Playing as her or watching someone else play as her isn't satisfying. She's at least somewhat difficult in chase which can make for interesting chases on the survivor side. But for me she's way more interesting than Nurse and Trickster. Those 2 absolutely kill my interest in playing.

Do people like playing against any high tier killers? Spirit, nurse, blight all seem to be on high everyones crap list. Even though there more exciting thenost of the anti loop tripe people play against. The only time in dbds history i saw people happy with a (once) high tier killer was billy. Oops I guess. If anything i think its just the lack of options in higher tiers of play thats killling dbds variety which has been tanking since sbm.
Hatchets were always getting nonesense hits but it never got the hate im seeing here. Maybe its nostalgia but I miss when the game matchmaking was scatter shot and seeing weird builds on low tier killer was normal. Sbm has completely destroyed this due to its influence of making players more competitive and exasperating game imbalances.

Going against Huntress has gotten really old. Every time I hear the lullaby all my will to play is sucked out of the game. I immediately know she is running BBQ, Iron Maiden, Corrupt Intervention, and No Way Out. She is also probably running Infantry Belt and Exhaustion Add-ons. I'm in the same region as a couple popular Huntress streamers and most the time it's one of them. I like those streamers, they kill me often, but damn change it up a bit.

I had a huntress yesterday, I think she put the offering to go to the swamp, that absolutely destroyed.
She had BBQ and would hook someone and just throw a hatchet at you from like 70+ meters away (I had kindred, so I saw the aura).
She absolutely destroyed us and it was horrible, but in a good way.

She's a strong killer that you can't just drop a pallet on and loop for 10 years and people are playing her more

I like her as long as it's not every match. Or on haddonfield when they'll usually go for one hook and then just keep trading to avoid chases

I don't mind facing Huntress, but when it's a Huntress literally every other game I get frustrated. I usually don't get hit by bs hatchets that much though so that's maybe why.

It wouldn't be so bad if you didn't face her every 3 matches.

The lullaby is super annoying and the hatchet hits rarely feel fair and are visually atrocious. It makes trying to dodge her hatchets almost a moot point unless the killer has superb latency. Anything above 50-ish ping will result in "#########" hits. She can be tolerable sometimes, but again it heavily depends on the killer having fantastic latency. She's just a poorly designed killer for how hitboxes and killer client hit registration are designed. It's only her too. Other killers with projectiles: DS, Nemi, Plague, Tickster seem fine to me and work really well generally speaking. Huntress is just very poorly executed, but hey the devs seem to love it. I would be happy if I never had to hear that stupid humming again too.

I don't mind Trickster at all. I rather enjoy his chase interactions. He's also extremely easy to beat and doesn't have an annoying hum. Would rather face 20 trix in a row than to face a huntress once

Huntress kinda needs to be able to abuse hitboxes tbh. I’d say she’s a perfectly balanced killer. Just don’t get downed and put on basement hook and you’ll be fine

Just as frustrating that you can't throw over objects you're hard up against.
Oh that bush is actually made of concrete, Oh i can't extend my arms over objects to throw, Oh this 3ft high pile of tyres stops a 6ft Killer being able to throw an axe.
It goes both ways. Just like lag and hatchet strikes.
And my biggest annoyance, you can dead hard a hatchet that has hit you.

If I could give your comment a medal I would. It’s literally perfect. If you can’t hit over something she’s literally useless. In fact, if you do get hit over an obstacle or clipped behind a tile you probably should have used your pathing sparingly as survivor.
YES the dead hard validation is absolutely SO SO annoying. When you get that hit but survivors use their invincibility “E” button and it feels like your card has been declined LOL.
