I feel like in the case of Twins data can be easily misconstrued.
They say Twins gain a huge win rate from a couple of basic add ons at high skill, but Twins is so unpopular, who's to say it's not just that the very high skill players who play them use the only few add ons Twins have that do something useful. Even if the add ons aren't carrying that strong player, just because they're better than 20 "oblivious" add ons the high skill player boosts the add ons' win rate by using them.
