An entire Deathslinger rework
Finally.
Base kit changes:
- Terror radius - 28m (from 32)
- ADS time - 0.25s (down from 0.4, old slinger was 0.15s)
- ADS movement speed - 75% (down from 85%, same as old slinger)
- Reload movement speed - 2.4m/s (up from 2.06m/s)
Add-on changes:
- Snake oil: Increases reeling speed by 10% (up from 5%)
- Modified ammo belt: Decreases reload time by 0.15s (down from 0.25s)
- Rusted spike and Honey locust thorns rarity swapped.
- Marshals badge: Removes the ringing sound effect when survivors are being aimed at (reworked)
- Jaw-smasher: Increases the velocity of the spear by 4m/s (reworked)
- Chewing tobacco: Reduces stun time after a survivor breaks free by 0.4s (down from 0.5)
- Wardens keys: Reduces reload speed by 0.3s (down from 0.5s)
- Wanted poster: Increases the velocity of the spear by 8m/s (reworked)
- Bayshore's gold tooth: Increases reeling speed by 15% (up from 9%)
- Prison chain: Increases the chain's charges by 15 (up from 10)
- Gold creek whiskey: Reduces the Deathslinger's terror radius by 12m when out of ammo (reworked)
- Bayshore's cigar: Reduces stun time after a survivor breaks free by 0.8s (down from 1s)
- Iridescent coin: Survivors speared by the redeemer at least 15m away are exposed (up from 12)
- Hellshire iron: Grants the undetectable status effect for 16 seconds after the Deathslinger fires a shot (reworked)
Cosmetic changes:
- Changed the "Blue top hat" to stretch to the top of the map.
- Added a clean, gold recoloured redeemer skin unlockable through hitting 150 survivors past 15 metres.
- Added a clean, platinum recoloured redeemer skin unlockable through hitting 69 survivors at the 18 metre mark.
- Added a dark matter coloured redeemer skin exclusively for Leachy_Jr.
- Fixed hair physics. (pls bhvr fix his hair)
- Fixed Deathslingers hand on the pyjama body piece.
- Given all players 5 free recolours of the pyjama skin, including pink, blue, green, black, and white recolours.
- Added a FaZe skin.
This kinda sounds like I'm writing up patch notes. Tell me your thoughts.
There should be an "Acknowledged" feature on the feedback page because it feels like I'm shouting into a void posting there.

I like it, I think Hellshire Iron could have a more interesting effect but apart from that these look like very welcome changes. It's a good balance between pre-nerf and current Slinger.

Honey Locust I would prefer have the effect of Rusted Spike added to it. Hit or break chain. I do think Reeling could use buffs. I would not change speed of the shot.

Not big on bringing back quickscope slinger in any way, the amount of people that complained about it back then was pretty noteworthy and it's removal was frankly a betterment to the game's health.

I'll grant no concessions. I want pre-nerf Deathslinger's quickscoping back, and nothing less. I'll play no iteration of him that doesn't have it.

This still isn't quickscope slinger, that was 0.15s, this is 0.25s.
While it may not seem like it, for slinger 0.1s is a noticeable amount of time. Only 0.25s got added and that pretty much killed him.

The people who complained about his quickscoping want counterplay at any point in the chase, even when they themselves make the mistake. Mad that he can option select you at a pallet/window? Don't go there then. Mad that he shoots you when you stop dodging? Keep dodging then. You are not supposed to be in control of the chase. The killer should be. That's what people miss.

Just remove the sensitivity thing when aiming.
also make his harpoon break walls/pellets/gens.

It was fun because it was 15 meters and encouraged long shots.
