not doing some "fun build" that involves, i don't know, being ######### afk?

and the best part. if I don't escape? my mmr goes down. doesn't matter if I do 4 gens solo, doesn't matter if i loop the killer for 10 minutes. and they get to escape, and they get the mmr increase. ######### amazing.

If you don't escape, this was not skilled play. BHVR does not care you did well at game, just escape. MMR is bad.

The game is balanced for beginners. They don't really need to improve to get average results. (Remember old ruin? Funny how we could get those skill checks.)
When you remove the pressure of selection, you get a lot of inexperienced players in higher ranked matches mixing with the ones who actually have a clue.
The only way to play is in a team, which is also OP.

True. Plus the matchmaking is doing every thing to get the q times short. This affects both killer who get high lvl survivor because we don't have enough killer and survivors who get to watch the kids because we have so much survivors and many of them are new players

Tomes. People just running for challenges (such as stun the killer), and just wanting to get them out the way. They are unhealthy for the game.

'I would guess 2/3 of the playerbase is just bad. Lack basic game sense. Dont think about how to play well. Issue is: as survivors nothing carries you if youre bad other than better teammates. Result: you lose MMR and get even worse mates. As killer? Hell - just tunnel, camp and slug and its all good. Carried by game flaws. MMR loss? Hell no!

I'm wondering if at some point BVHR had considered some sort of eSport scene for DbD. Because there was a survey that I took for them, between the initial round of SBMM being put in August 2020 (and promptly removed) and the current live version hitting the game in 2021, where they asked me a lot of questions about whether or not I watched esports, if I bought esport merchandise, my thoughts on Overwatch League, and more.
Then, suddenly, SBMM is live in the game, but now they seem to want it to be a casual party game again.
It's like they don't know which direction they want to take the game. Or they wanted it to be an esport, but maybe the survey results indicated the player base did not. I, for one, told them that I don't watch esports and have zero interest in them. I made it clear in my responses that: yes, I play Overwatch. But I do not play ranked matches and do not watch nor follow the Overwatch League, and have no interest in that facet of the game.
