With crossplay off, if you are on Steam, you have no risk of going against one of the legion of free cheaters accounts on Epic Games.

I had it off for years before I quit.

Unfortunately, you can't really keep it off on the Series X, the population is way too small. Even on the Xbox One, I was getting the same 3-ish teams consistently as Killer.

As Survivor though, I do have to say, my teammates were WAY better than what I was seeing afterwards.

Are u console or PC? If console I'm not surprised cuz they are worse than PC players

ive played against very good console players with great movement who could actually juke me (which rarely happened to me after i hitted the 2k hours mark).

Back then crossplay-off was some sort of "comp mode" were all the good teams and killers practiced, but right now i don't see much difference and i often play against the same players multiple times in a session, which can be fun but also boring. The good side is that you dodge the Epic Launcher cheaters.

I cant afford to turn the crossplay off, id be waiting hours to get a game 😂

What would be more helpful would be a PC only or console only setting. I would love to remove PC cheaters from my games but turning cross play off even in the US means super long lobby waits.

I’ve always kind of enjoyed this as an Xbox player. Not the long waits for queues, but always enjoy playing with survivors or against them that I’ve seen in previous games, and with Xbox, I feel I’ve played with every person in my region lol

The last time i did that i got those selfproclaimed competitive survivor mates and those tryhard OP killer. Not very fun if the mates think theyre pros and dont do anything worth it while the killers curvestomps your team by playing the most tryhard build on blight or nurse.

I'd rather lose to a cheater on console than someone with stretched res on PC taking me to a map where it's impossible to mind game the survivor due to it and them coming into end game chat trolling like they won fairly.

    About 1000 hours

Tired of pc survivors lol I feel like pc players in general are most toxic and obnoxious

  • Member Posts: 142

Im a killer main so I dont have that issue

  • Member Posts: 142

Im console and I have found it opposite

  • Member Posts: 2,018

I keep it on because a month ago it glitched off and I kept getting the same teammates and killers back to back. I didn’t like that.

I have had console teammates that are far better than pc teammates, very based comment.

I like to turn it off sometimes, but it does really mess up the matchmaking. I find I get more newer players with crossplay off on pc, I also primarily turn it off after getting tilted at laggy players. Trying to land a demon dash when people have bad movement is kinda tilting. I also tend to avoid people from south America for the same reason. I wish we had a ping indicator, or some way to avoid bad ping lobbies in general. its very unpleasant.

For sure. Singling out console players is just another way people deflect blame for a bad match

    Thank u 🙏

I have never understood the pc vs console thing in this game. The device doesn’t make the player.

Tried a few days ago to play on Series with CP off.. impossible task at prime time, 28 mins queue with no results on EU

It was the same in NA a couple months ago.

It hasn’t been out for years

They have an advantage like its know pc is best for call of duty. If your talking personality wise absolutley its with anything really like this group is like this and they have similar intrest and like probably makes no sense but yea

Also, pc players are stuck up js I seen a lot of pc players in comments on Facebook being the same

Thats just what ive noticed I wouldnt say it if it hasnt been true everytime but that doesnt mean the others dont like ai just had a match with crossplay off and all ganged up on me (trapper) and wouldnt let me pick up anyone shine the flashlight as soon as I did or all blocked and broke hook but even so I have seen it more in pc players. being a killer is hard man I just wanna enjoy the game everyday I have them literally its not an exaduration about half my matches todays was the worst ive seen it like I just wish there was an offline mode because I cant take these people anymore they dont care like I want to enjoy the game and do my task why cant they do the same instead of bullying the killer js its not just a bad match its toxic survivors but im addicted to the game because those actually good survivors make it fun where its like oh ok nice man and they arnt douchbags about it

The vid is cool but the ending comments were uncalled for. At least the comment section lets him know. Just because you play on pc doesn’t make u better in my eyes.

You have no idea what platform they are on as console. A globe could be pc or any of the other consoles.

At least on pc you can figure out if a globe is windows store/egs by typing in the chat and if they type back, then they are on pc.

When a profile comes up as squares or has some extremely offensive name, it's almost always PC.

  • Member Posts: 5,981

Not for me. On contrary I get bully squads plenty on ps4 and it is always the same 4man swfs who are probably so used to winning that they think they can tbag and flashlight spam me without consequences every time.

  • Member Posts: 142

Yea I just ran into a terrible squad last night where dc would be plausable

  • Member Posts: 2,923

less platforms = less players = longer ques = more unbalanced matches according the the mmr system = bascially old matchmaking

thats how I have found playing cross off since the addition of MMR.

Oh sorry, I forgot that because the forum translate automatically to portuguese for me

I have cross play on for my steam but off in my Xbox. Lobbies are hella quick on Xbox either way for either side only real reason I still use my Xbox anymore. Way less stress and toxicity to.
