Epic account purge.
Lets be real. The majority of Epic accounts are probably owned by cheaters. Whoever signed a deal to release the game for free needs to fix this gigantic blunder and purge any account made during the free week that has not been used within the last 30 days or has not had any progress made on it since creation.
Even i am starting to run into suspect behaviour and they are usually a globe icon. There is no point reporting these when they have hundreds of backup accounts from the free week.

they can't do that, they might eat a lawsuit

I do hate cheaters. But there is gotta be lots of persons who claimed the game but haven't got around to play it.
I mean I haven't touched half of my epic library.

Then they need to actually invest in anticheat and hire someone that knows that they are doing..

I think BHVR just working on a way to kill Dead by Daylight

They are probably doing that but they are not going to tell us that because them the hackers will know what to do to break it open

Nah. Every "big" online game has a cheater problem, regardless of how much they invest.
And with great power comes great performance issues which this game actually doesn't have (communication issues are not performance issues).
Also increased costs and revenue loss which either results in a loss of financial viability on an already old and dwindling game or an increase in monetization aggressiveness.
Not sure many people would sacrifice, say 1k auric cells rebate from rift premium pass in exchange for better anticheat that won't stop cheating anyway and might cause stuttering, raise cpu use and other potential issues.
I'll just take the game as it is and nevermind cheetos

Wish they would.

I play on ps4 and got it on epic games when it was free.
I have started with Jake and have him at level 30, so I haven't played much.
I just missed the feeling of playing with what you have (I have pretty much all perks on all survivors at this point).
Not defending anything, just my reasoning behind it.

Ah yes, real smart of a company to kill off their only game. Where a large majority if their revenue comes in

Tbh you should’ve just played better bro…

Or why not just purge the game from Epic Game store? Nah jokes aside, they won't do anything.
Look at Warzone, had a massive cheater problem in the MW and BOCW time but coming Vanguard era, anti-cheat comes and actually works

Err, no dude. I claimed the game via EGC, but felt no need to install and play it on my current machine because I already have it on Steam. When my boys are older, then I may make use of it.
Until then, I've claimed it, it's mine. Leave it alone!

Sounds like its time for me to turn cross-play off for a good while.
