Unjustified Reports?

We probably can all say that we've been able to recognize that we've been in a match with a Hacker at least once within the last 2 months, whether its in the match, or afterwards. However, with more 'subtle' hackers, it has been becoming more difficult to tell if people are hacking, and for some, more tempting to call others out for their non-existent hacks.

My real question is this: have you ever been called out and reported for exploits or hacks, when you're just playing the game? How often?

Thank you for your time.

Yeah. Ive been reported of speed hacking when i was playing pinhead and killed people at 4 gens. They seem to completely forget that he is a 115 killer.

Was reported for tunneling too. People just like to report people for fun in this game.

I don't know if they actually do it but every so often I'll have people accuse me of cheating and having wall hacks when I have a good game and have little down time between chases because for some reason potato survivors can't comprehend they're not as good at hiding as they think they are.

I got accused of hacking because I was using chains as Pinhead.

I have been reported for looping, camping, facecamping, teabagging, clicky-clickying. And that was back in 2016-2017 when people reported looping and camping lol. As for the others, I used to be a prick in 2017. I used to idolize OchiDO so I thought being toxic was cool (poor 14 yo me).

This is why evidence is and should remain a requirement.

Got reported for hacking because I played demo. It was a fairly new 4man and they got ballistic in chat after I 3k them and all of them where very sure that you can't use demo anymore

Map was shelter woods, two survivors remaining. I down the nea and right while I down her I see David health status go back to healthy. I hook Nea and I see no one with bbq, so since the map is shelter woods and there's no main building my educated guess was "he opened the chest in basement, healed up and went in a locker".

Bee lined the basement and got reported for wall hacking 😢

I was reported for allowing survivors to three-gen themselves.

Not often but I'm on console so no one really goes through the effort of sending one another messages all that often

I did have one person who did message me that they were going to report me for hacking because they weren't able to leave the exit gates so therefore I must have been hacking

I feel like they probably should have just hovered over that "Bloodwarden" perk of mine to see what it did...

Story time? I've received many "you're going to get banned we're reporting for X reason' from the games release. My favorite was some streamer back in early dbd days when sabo'd hooks were permanently broken. They did not do gens they went around sneaking and broke all the hooks then said I'll be reported and banned as they were a streamer and had it all recorded of me slugging them all out and letting them bleed out. (They avoided being near the basement and ran to the corner of the maps teabagging)

People in this game often try to scare you when you wrong them in the game. Always listen to BHVR about the rules:

Don't feel intimated just because the people who play this game, have a hard time accepting the rules and come to terms with it.

Thanks. Yeah, I've had a few TTVs try to claim I was speed hacking or exploiting when I'm trying to use a long wall against a bubba. Appreciate it.

Map was Groaning Storehouse and I was Blight, it was a TTV and her 3 goons

One of them had a poor internet connection and they dced, so I played it slow (at least as slow as I could, they were basically throwing themselves at me)

Finally shes the last Survivor, she lasts as an ice cube in the oven and I gave her hatch. Next thing you know her and her goons in the endgame chat start insulting me and calling me a cheater but never specifically say how I cheated, other than: "Ive never seen any one do good as that killer, therefor you are cheating" grade A logic but I was flattered

I decided to join her stream and joined at the perfect time, she saw my comments were open on steam and she decided to spam my steam profile in her chat so that her viewers could go write stuff

One problem, she had 6 viewers

    1 of them was herself

3 of them were her goons

    1 was me

and 1 was a moderator who didnt agree with the situation at all

I moved on to the next and just laughed at the whole situation

I wonder how shes doing today

Well, when someone streaming does it, you can watch them report you in real time.

Well, yeah, but it is just players not realizing how aura reading works or how much sound their actions have. I do not believe anyone genuinely thought I was hacking... Maybe.

I feel this pain. I only report if I actually see suspicious actions.

I feel the pain though even playing as survivor. I play with a group where one person always claims a killer is speed hacking or using auto aim. every time they get it. I've seen and gotten some pretty wonky hits playing as or against killers. I chalk those up to server lag.

but it never fails all I hear almost every other game is "this killer is speed hacking, or they're using auto aim. ect. and this is an Irie 1 player I'm talking about.

My boyfriend was accused of cheating because of one perfectly-timed dead hard.
