Haddonfield disabled for 3 months, Nurse disabled for 3 weeks.
Is BHVR going to give any real timeframe as to when these will be fixed? Surely it doesnt take 4 weeks to fix 1 nurse bug due to grab interactions? Maybe stop pumping out $20 DLC chapters, give that a rest and work on fixing the games existing content. No developer in my 20 years of gaming has ever taken these sort of timeframes to fix core gameplay content, even Unturned an open world zombie survival game made by a one man band consisting of a 17 year old kid out of his basement in Canada can produce bug fixes 10x faster than the people managing Dead by Daylight.

All we know is Nurse will be back on Tuesday but there’s still no timetable for Haddonfield.

About nurse being back we all expect on 8th march. About haddonfield... personally i think still on 8th march should get back. If not eh, who knows.

It takes so long thats my problem. most other Devs for games like Warframe, Rust, ETC have patches for major bugs out and downloaded in 3 hours. why does it take BHVR weeks, months? Are they Lazy? do they just not care? OR like i said too busy trying to pump out paid content to keep the money pumping instead of doing what they need to do.

The DLC chapters have nothing to do with the bugfixes, that are different teams. It doesn't make sense to tell team B to stop working as long as team A is not done with a topic that has nothing to do with the work of team B.
And I don't know what your proffession is, but I'm pretty sure you cannot tell how long it takes to fix nurse. In software development, sometimes even the teams working on the bugfix can't even tell it exactly

It probably didn't take all that long to fix the Nurse bugs, it's more they bundle all the bug fixes together instead of doing little minor patches here and there to save on costs since I'm pretty sure they have to pay every time they do a console update whereas steam is free or at least cheaper to patch.
Someone please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong there. I do remember a mod talking about it once I just can't remember all the details of it.
As far as Haddonfield goes, it's a map remake so who knows on that one.

I can barely get a simple simple patch of code working I won't complain too much. XD At least there are a ton of other characters to play with in the meantime.

They are always like that. Removed things = no problems so why bother.
It feels very often they lack of people to work at BHVR

This!
Finding and resolving the bug is only one step of a longer process to release changes into a live system across multiple platforms, alongside other changes/updates that also need to be pushed out.

Haddenfield is undergoing a full revamp which is presumably why it’s taking so long. Basically for all we know they’re essentially making a new map from scratch, so they may even want to put it out with a midchapter PTB for testing when it’s done. (I’m just guessing though. 🤷♂️)

When fixing a bug like this...the bug has to be found, replicated, programmed etc and then sent to all platforms - some of those take longer than others to arrange. So it was always notified that the Nurse would return in the next patch, which just happens to be the new Chapter.
Haddonfield is switched off until further notice, when we have something to communicate around this please keep an eye on our Socials as we will definitely communicate about it.
We do update the Killswitch list on the forums with regards to current known issues & if something is killswitched so please keep an eye on that if you're not able to follow our social channels.

As a big fan of the first Halloween movie I am distraught over its disappearance.

I’m not a big fan of the house layouts mechanically but I do like that it’s got its own unique feel so hopefully we’ll get the new version “soon”. Although Mandy saying it’s “off until further notice” does sound like it’s a pretty serious rework or maybe something even more problematic going on. 🙁

Considering that almost everyone says that Haddonfield is the most survivor sided map even if the escape % isn´t as high as Badham or Coldwind i really hope they´ll change some of the layouts

But think of how happy us Halloween fans will be if they bring it back more balanced and with more visual references to the movies.

I don't think the Unturned guy is 17 years old anymore xD

"20$ dlc chapters"
Last I checked they cost like 7 dollars

Halaluya for that, I hate that map with a passion

Imagine if it actually resembled the movie <3

Me too, hopefully it’ll be better cause I think it’s being reworked.

Also can't wait to continue my 50 kills in a row with perkless clown on haddonfield :'(

I don't mind Haddonfield being gone.

If only they were permanently removed.

if a dev would be a main nurse then the problem would have been solved in 48 hours xd

Oh the problem has been solved. We know it's been solved.
The issue comes from sending out the patch; why pay money and go through all of the checks, why make people install a whole new patch, for one specific fix when the next patch has been confirmed and isn't that far away?
Why spend that unnecessary money for a killer that is statistically played very little, especially in comparison to, say, Blight or Huntress, when you can just as easily put it into the next update.
It's not a matter of it being fixed, it's a matter of us receiving the patch.

It’s been confirmed via patchnotes that Haddonfield is receiving a big rework and is kill switched until those changes go live/on PTB.
Nope, that wouldn’t change the update schedules at all. 🙄
If you use the actual price it doesn’t sound as greedy though.. (I actually think the DLC prices are pretty cool considering licensed chapters also need to get money to the license holder..)

Gotta distinguish between the company and the (individual) devs. Because I am pretty sure many devs actually care for the product they are creating but of course there are higher ups that are making bad choices in that regard and of course they are a company and want/need to earn money… like.. duh?

I don’t even know who and what you mean 🤷♂️

Unless individual employees have shares in the company their power in dictating the objectives of the business are incredibly low so I'd love to see your evidence for the devs themselves (not shareholders, the devs) not caring
