Can you be flagged by EAC and banned for turning off your VSYNC via game files?
In the 5.6.0 patch notes, there was a line that read "Improved detection method of modified or corrupted game files" I want to make sure that I'm not at risk for doing so.

No this is more aimed at those who are editing their save files or installing hack clients your game user settings will not get you banned.

Thank you for answering so fast I appreciate it. Do you have a source from where you got that info from? I just want to be 110% sure I'm not doing something that puts my account at risk.

I haven't seen or heard of anyone being banned for turning Vsync off but totally fine is you want a mod or dev to comment.

I would send in a support ticket or wait for a dev response.

Yeah everyone keeps saying that there hasn't ever been a case like that which is comforting but most of those posts i've read that from were from years ago and not directly from a Dev/Mod. Now that they directly said they they've improved detection methods in the patch notes, it just made me worried. I'd prefer a Dev or Mod to respond. Thank you

That's a good idea, I will do that now. I'm a bit new to the forums and definitely not super active on them so I appreciate all the answers/advice.

Same here. I've had it off since 2018. I'm just worried now that there is an official patch note saying they're improving modified/corrupted game file detection. I'd hat to be automatically flagged by EAC and lose everything.
