Playing a new killer with 2 perk slots filled with level 1 sub optimal perks against a full meta team
the fact that you have to grind game after game after game just to get the desired perks so you have at least some chance of winning against a good team is so disheartening
the grind on this game is still abysmal and with every new chapter it gets worse and worse
I’m sorry but a 1.5x BP event every now and then just isn’t enough, we need a complete overhaul of a frankly outdated system

And then getting put up against a crazy 3man SWF with fully stacked meta perks and an Ormond offering, who proceed to teabag you and spam flashlight macros until your head is ringing and then tell you to uninstall your life in postgame.
I wonder why this game has a problem retaining newer players...

Solution: Remove the bloodpoints cap. Although a million is generally enough to get you to a level in the 30s you still have very little to choose from. Once a killer or survivors perks are announced you can save up BP to get them to a level with perks you actually want to use.

And yet, there are people defending the bloodpoint cap. When this issue could be solved so easily, by simply removing the cap.

I think a lot of people have the mentality of “I’ve suffered through it, so should you”
they want everyone else to have to grind just because they had to, instead of being happy for new players who’d have an easier time if the BP system was changed

All of the games like this are pretty grindy. Not as bad as DBD in most cases, but.
Well, it's either that or play with every perk you want immediately against a four-man team of blatant cheaters.
Keep in mind that DBD's grind is there to keep cheating from being effective. Hackers will always come up with a new way to cheat when the last method gets patched out, but what cheaters can't do is buy bloodpoints with money. If you have one account that you plan to use regularly, you'll get the perks you want after a little grind. If you're planning to cheat, you're going to put a hundred hours in before you're even close to getting everything you need to thrive with the threat of being banned at any point during your little adventure.
That deters cheating more than anything else this game does.

There are so many things that could be done to lessen the grind and i don´t understand why the devs are so adamant about keeping it.
Honestly, if i would be a new player and saw how much bloodpoints i need to unlock, well the meta perks. While only scraping something between 15 and 20k bloodpoints per match. I don´t think i would continue playing. New players don´t have BBQ, WGLF, cakes or party streamers. They are bound to earn very little bloodpoints for a very long time.

You could have a 1m reach you level 50 if you play the blood web the cheapest and let the entity consume most of the nodes.
Still level 50 isn't going to net you all the perks, or their tier 3. Or good add-ons

Thats my point. You want to play the new killer with the cool stuff right away you can save the BP necessary to do so if there is no cap.

I did already play as Nemesis and Pinhead... But i had all 4 perks unlocked (Not perks that I wanted to use... but anyway)
Those Survivor didn't care what the end game screen shows... You played a Killer and they play Survivor

Try to open the game and then discover the fact that BHVR blocked access to DbD in Steam for russian users.
I know that the situation about Ukraine is awful and a huge apart of russians don't like what Russian goverment is doing but...
It really sucks that I can't play my favourite game anymore :(
edit: after a hour of trying to enter the game it allowed me to play. But it still disabled in the Steam store.

With cap, I mean both. The million bloodpoint cap and the 8k per category one. So you could earn more than 8k by repairing gens or chasing, healing. Instead of hitting a wall, that prevents you from earning any more points after that.
The category cap is obsolete. It's from a time where you piped based on how many categories you filled to 5k or 8k bloodpoints.

the way i sees it, you can grin d and point dump into one character, match after match. OR, you get a good blood point mule perk set for your preferred player (weather thats killer or survivor is up to you), get on with some friends and have fun for a few rounds. Bank alllll those points until you cap, dumb it lal into your player of choice and repeat.
as a Legion main, yeah OP 4 some SWF meta jerks make it hard to enjoy the game, but if you and three buddies wanna run a train on some killers and get hella points, well..... thats kinda the game.

yeah I started just over a year ago and now have all survivors and killers level 50 (with some survivors prestiged and 3 survivors p3 + all perks) and I honestly wouldn't wish this grind on anyone. I can't imagine starting the game now with 50+ characters and 150+ perks across the board.

ok, now it makes sense.
rather just remove perk tiers. would reduce the grind MASSIVELY
