Sadako vs. CoH is just...impossible
I've been playing the heck out of the new killer. I enjoyed her a lot at low levels, but after I've (inevitably) worked her up to only be matched against red-rank SWF's...these are some of the most frustratingly tedious matches I've ever played.
She's supposed to be hit and run to spread pressure but after a bit, if you make the wrong call for where to teleport, I guarantee you whoever you just hit is going to be healthy like...now. I tried only using builds with sloppy butcher, thanat, etc, but that does literally nothing against these ridiculous boons that are continually spammed every SINGLE match. Now I have to just use NOED and hope endgame goes well bc you don't stand a chance without a one hit down or consistently reliable mobility in this game anymore. It really sucks.

Perks like Noed, Make your choice especially, and Devour Hope are probably gonna be some of her best.

How are you finding devour hope with her?
1 -
I don't really ever use Devour Hope, I just imagine it's one shot potential + additional slowdown would be good on her.

With her mobility, Undying with Haunted Grounds is probably good with her. You get two chances to one shot people if they don't cleanse fast enough. But yea, she's below B-tier for sure.

Ahhh right OK. Might give it a try. Thanks.

Make Your Choice and Devour Hope are really so strong on her. Also BBQ and info perks have good syngery with her power as well. Slow-down perks are great because you can back to defend your gens any time. She is just weak at loops, so you can use some anti-loop perks or you can play hit and run style. But CoH is still stupidly broken.

I use devour sometimes. But ofc it's RNG based. It's not reliable at all.

See, for some damn reason I'm up to at least bloodweb 70 w/ her and I have yet to get MYC or BBQ. It's lame when those are the perks that are gonna make her the most viable. I also didn't realize she still had a lullaby or whatever while stealthed...so it's not really stealth.

Against these teams almost nothing works. So no surprise here.
I played some games and did pretty well but i am nowhere near top.

Try Make Your Choice and her Scourge Hook that shows you the auras of the survivors after the rescue to help you track the exposed player.

She's a high mobility killer, instadown perk, slap Coulrophobia, Dying Light and Thanatophobia and you have yourself and anti heal build, you can even throw in Forced Penance, if you want an anti Gen build, I use Call of Brine, BBQ and Scourge Hook Flood of Rage (for info and BP) and Dying Light, just get your tokens and you're set

Bring Nurses Calling and Sloppy Butcher.
Also, I'm unsure if her "Lullaby" radius is static, in that it stays at 24 meters around her regardless, or if it's Dynamic, as in it's tied to her TR and can grow or shrink, based upon perks that expand or reduce her TR. Some have said its tied entirely to her Demanifested state, meaning that as long as you use Stealth perks like Dark Devotion or Trail of Torment, she can become undetectable while Manifested without having her Lullaby warning sounds giving away that she's in the area. Either Way, typically NC+SB on a stealth killer is a great combo against the current CoH meta.

Yeah, the problem with Hex I guess.

She's basically Freddy.

I honestly don't think it's being slept on as much as people are realizing how difficult it is to give survivors stacks of condemnation, and are starting to pick up on it as an alternative way to give them more stacks. Honestly, From the PTB alone, I figured that every survivor would just ignore the video tapes entirely, forcing the killer to give them stacks of Condemnation via Teleporting to TV's, and this add-on was a gesture by the devs to help condemnation build faster... but unfortunately, it doesn't do it fast enough.
The reason NC+SB works so well on Sadako is the same as why it works well on any stealth killer, but with one caveat... Unlike any other stealth killer, when she uses her stealth ability (demanfiest) she replaces her Terror Radius with a Lullaby, which means that no matter if she's in stealth or not from her base kit abilities, survivors always have a warning. Which to me is just, ugh, terrible design for a supposedly "stealth killer". What's really funny is that the Lullaby seems to be directly tied to her Demanifested state, meaning that if you use a Stealth perk like Dark Devotion, Insidious, or Trail of Torment, you can actually approach survivors without them getting an early warning, as all other stealth killers do with their base kits, as long as you remain in the manifested form and meet the requirements for the perk.
Seriously Devs? I thought the learned their lesson from the "Noisy Ghost Face PTB" debacle that was HEAVILY criticized by the community. I mean she's only partially stealthed as is because she can still be seen, the lullaby is just overkill. Not to mention that aside from her unnecessary "Lullaby", everything she does, be it an interaction with the environment or her own power, is DIRECTIONALLY AUDIBLE... She's less like If "Freddy and Wraith had a baby", and much more like if Demogorgon (loudest killer in the game, can also Teleport) and Spirit (directionally audible power) did. Also she's Japanese... so that fits with all of their "Monster x Girl" fetish videos.

Agreed. I tried getting her adept against a team of survivors who had 3 Circle Of Healing and it was impossible.

Sadako vs anything even remotely good is impossible.

3 man swf, long game but hey, it is possible with the right perks π

Well... more like it's possible without DH and with just one DS.

She is an m1 killer so yeah. Though I will say try using make your choice. Might actually be good cause she can teleport to tv's and she can quickly leave the hook and if there's a tv near the hook, teleport right back.

As the clicky clicky survivor that has been dropping CoH on Sadako like it's my job, I've found she's pretty good at snuffing totems and slapping survivors around. I don't remember what perks this Onryo had but I'm pretty sure they were standard gen regression.

Not all boon totems are CoH, telling u just in case

30 seconds in.. boom

Haha always the way ππ

Agree with this. Any perks that rely on exposed status will help a lot with her. I like to play Wraith occasionally and the only way to make him have a chance against the CoH meta is to use one of those perks (I really like MYC on Wraith). I donβt play Sadako but seems like MYC would be great on her as well

You've told yourself that she has to be hit an run. No killer has to play hit and run besides Legion. With how fast you can teleport around the map, I'd argue that hit and run is the dumbest playstyle on her because once you get your BBQ info after a hook, you can get just about anywhere on the map faster than most killers

Sadako is like the killer version of Hex Pentimento; would have been cooler to see 6 months ago before boons

Good argument saddly she is an m1 killer so even if she could be anywhere anytime any decent player can loop her for days, when she teleports to me I feel as treatened as when I see a trapper which is to say not treatened at all, although her animations are cool tho.
