It is. These "silly outfits" provide another revenue stream to DbD. Which in turn assist in keeping the game going. With the fact they pump them out means they are selling. Sorry dude if u don't like it but it's one of those "build a bridge and get over it" scenarios
Sorry if that sounds more aggressive than intended. It just drives me crazy I see people say the same stuff over remakes, just because another version of something exists doesn't take anything away from the original

Yes and no, it's my favorite Clown Skin, reminds me of the amusement park from silent Hill 3.
I just think it's silly to let what other people put on their avatar effect you in anyway. It's like you getting mad at someone for an outfit they bought and decided to wear. Not liking something is fine , you clearly aren't the demographic for it. But other people do enjoy it, don't be the grinch, haha let people like things.

Well if that's the way you view remakes , can you not apply that logic to the DbD killers as well, it 100% is another timeline with the entity taking them and all.

No it's different. Remakes isn't a videogame. Dbd and like the devs said, is about being faithful to the franchise. Resident evil is a different timeline where jill, claire, Leon and Chris ended up in the entities realm but it's the same characters. We can be here all day. If you make a silly skin for a character that's licensed, it ruins it. In the leatherface movies we all know that in every single movie he has different clothes but some uglier than others. In Halloween, Michael is just the white mask and the mechanic clothes and changing that will ruin it. It's not the same thing.

I'm not gonna tell people to not buy it. I'm telling behavior to not change characters look and be faithful to where they come from. This isn't about stop using this ugly skin, it's about being faithful to where they came from

The white dress is iconic enough. But that skin is amazing especially considering it's actual canon from the film. I wish more cosmetics were this dynamic while also representing the license.
