As Killer are Really Hard to Get to Iridescent Grade

Seems i am stuck on silver killer grade. No matter what killer i am using (Tier A ) . I will facing a sweat SWF.

On the other hand the killer I am using is the only way to reach the better grade.

On survivor side is so easy to get to iridescent grade.

Dont say git gud slang, because it is so boring and you cant elaborate what git gud means

I reach iridescent with Legion lol. Getting rank 1 with killer is not very hard and generally quicker for me to do than survivor, though with suvivor or killer I can reach rank 1 in about a week of playing. Focus on pressuring gens not killing. SWFs like to play risky so getting downs isn't too difficult if you keep applying pressure to gens. Bring lightborn too. On legion I like to run ruin, haunted grounds, lightborn and brutal strength. I average 2-3 kills a game even against SWF. Plus I mainly play survivor after reaching r1 on killer so mind gaming and zoning is super easy for me.

Not that hard but still i dont think those 2m bp from surv and killer will be enough to level up stuff i need grind is pain in this game 😬

if you are interested to rank up then you should use killers that will easily get emblems (legion for brutality, doctor for deviousness or pinhead for both) and play without camping and (this one can be ignored if you want) tunneling. if you aren't interested to rank up but want only kills then i suggest you killers that can end chase quickly (instadown killers). clearly you must hope that you will face average survivor cause a decent group of solo or a premade who want tryhard is IMPOSSIBLE to farm emblems in order to get pips...

Getting ranks is about games played do a 100 a month and you'll get 1. Unless you're basically face camping the first surv you see and doing nothing else.

Iri Grades are easier to get but it's much more stressful to play as killer imho

Honestly for me the biggest issue in hitting iri 1 as killer is that queues rn are very long and I normally use the final few days of a season to grind ranks for the role I enjoy more (rn it's predominantly killer until I get RPD). Sadly only have survivor archive challenges left + because I can't play killer with my friends I hit iri 1 survivor ages ago just by playing with them so much

It's not super hard, it's just tedious and requires you to sort of 'unplay' the game.

    • You need to hit people a lot. Not necessarily down them, just lots of hit events. This means that killers who inflict a lot of strikes do well here (Hag, Nemesis, Cenobite) while instadown killers are much more difficult. Artist is also a little crap, because for some reason bird strikes do not count as 'hit events', or didn't last time I checked.
    • Similarly, you need a lot of chases - preferably ending in a hit as fast as possible, gen damage and pallet hit events.
    • You need a good amount of hook events - I think the most you need is 9 (you can maybe squeak a Ruthless with less, but it's rare on most killers). Meaning that you'll want to have sacrificed 2 survivors and have both others on death hook if you can manage it.
    • Ash-Gold 1 is very easy, the rest can be a bit of a slog.

Now, if you are regularly 3-4king, it's a little more lenient. The major downside is people suiciding or DCing.

Wraith and Legion are great 'rankers' - their speed allows them to get rapid hit events with short chases. Myers, Billy, Bubba, Ghosty and Artist I've found to be really bad rankers.

I've never made it to Iri 1 but the furthest for me is gold IV.

As solo survivor is way harder.

These are good advices, remember to play focusing on the pip system, not on kills (if you get 4k's fast you probably won't rank up grade wise, only your mmr will raise). I find killer much faster to rank up than survivor, but you gotta have experience with killer. As survivor u can't always get enough chases/saves/gens because ur not always in control of these scenarios, making it slower to rank up IMO.

Minor point but I think it takes over 150 games on average assuming you gain about 1 pip every other game with an average kill rate of 2+. (It takes 80 total pips to reach Iri 1, and if you lose you can lose a pip which cancels out the extra pip you can gain by getting a solid 4 kill.)

But other than the specific number I agree on the main point which is that gaining Grades is all about playing lots of matches. Since you can’t lose a Grade once you earn it, you just have to hypothetically keep playing over and over and even if you aren’t that good just by sheer chance you should occasionally get multiple 4 kills in a row where you get two pips on each and gain a grade.

Personally I never get there myself. I only play maybe 2-3 matches a night 5 or 6 nights a week and while I’m pretty decent I’m not like an 80% kill rate or anything crazy so I don’t get 2 pips all the time once I’m in Silver and Gold. Plus I frankly don’t have the patience to really go out of my way to slug for 4 kills when I’ve downed the third survivor, I just hook them and if I win the race for the hatch and get the last person great, which definitely lowers my chances of getting 2 pips. Plus Grades are basically meaningless other than giving you a bloodpoint reward once a month so other than being a curiosity I don’t care about my Grade at all.

Iri killer is easier for me to achieve than solo survivor.

Same for me, I rush killer to iridescent, then mostly dabble in survivor for the rest.

It still can be done with instadown killers, but this is what happens: everything was iridescent except "chaser" emblem, because of the instadown. This was a 12 hook game, but since I only m1 once during the match my chaser emblem was silver. Still was enough to double pip because I went for loads of chases, kicked gens with pop and 4k'ed, so the other emblems compensated

For me is easier to get solo surv than killer.

To be honest, not played killer too much but when I want to Rush levels I use legion or Doc and just Chase people and Kick gens with brutal force.

Just go between gens kicking and hitting with power, down and hook a few times and you got two pips per Game from Ash to Silver 2, after that you Will get 1 pip per Game but is fine, MMR Will match you against potatos every 3-4 games and you Will get 2 easy pips smashing them.

As survivor, is omega easy for me to reach Max Range, and I play solo.

    Prove + BT+ WGLF + DH.

1 gen with mates are like 59-60% of objetives done. Saving One or two is 50% of altruism and if you clean a few tótems and Chase killer you Will get easy pips, except against god killers or with potatos on your team that suicide or DC because killer is A-S tier.

Took me 6 days to reach rank 1 solo surv with that build. Killer is a bit longer, It depends on your skill and MMR lvl, but doing what I said, you Will have a few hard matches but majority Will be really doable because you get hooks but not kill players so your MMR tends to be low.

Truth. 4 pips on gold and keep getting depipped due to facecamp lol.

Yeah, for me it's always been vastly easier to pip as killer all the way up to r1 than solo survivor.

I hit both again this month but solo survivor is much harder than killer to get Iri 1 because there's so much more RNG involved. Did my team leave me to one hook? Was the killer AFK? Did the killer chase me for most of the game? If so, that's probably a depip at Gold to Iri grades. Is the killer out matched so I'm not healing or getting hook saves? Then I'm probably not pipping.

I am a lot better at killer than I am at survivor but getting Iri 1 feels inevitable for me as killer if I play a few games per night. However, as soon as I hit Iri 4 as solo survivor I stop caring if I pip up since it's so much more frustrating. It feels a lot easier to depip than get enough opportunities to pip up at Iri.
