Huntress's hatchets should not reveal devour hope
The hatchets do not instantly down survivors, so why do they have to reveal devour hope?

Special attacks in general should not reveal devour Hope at all

Honestly I think it’s okay that it reveals it. If you could get to 5 stacks using hatchets and then just mori someone without warning that’d be kinda nutty. Devour hope is good enough as it is.

Hatchet's shouldnt count as a special attack anyway, it's her primary weapon.

Then devour becomes one of those perks that are played around constantly which makes it super unhealthy imo but at the same time Im not sure if thats what the devs think about much since there is perks like UB, BT and Dead Hard also NOED that havent really gotten much changes and DS was another one of those perks for a long time.

They do that? Sounds like a bug to me.
4 -
You should probably file that in the bug reports.
That doesn't sound right.
Only an M1 attack should give the notification. (And I'm not even a fan of the notification : seeing someone go down from fully healthy should be information enough.)

No

I agree that would be unhealthy, that’s why I think it‘s okay the way it is.

all m2 attacks must show devour hope, if they didn't it would be too strong, imagine you hide your devour hope up to 5 stacks

To my knowledge, literally all M2s aren’t affected by perks. Huntess’ hatchets work (or should work) the same.

And yet Trapper is the only killer in the game that can hide it until someone gets mori.

It should. Devour Hope is not only have exposed and it makes survivor moriable too (even they are not dead on hook). This is why Devour Hope is revealing.

I don't see the problem with hiding DH until 5 stacks. You got five separate hooks and didn't camp any of them. In high MMR, that's an accomplishment in and of itself. It should be rewarded, and should not be revealed by special attacks.

Pretty sure they fixed this a long time ago. Wonder when it broke again.

Well, if they MUST reveal it then should also APPLY it. Aka one shot with huntress hatchet, or demo shred, for example.
Either both or nothing.
Anything else seems like preferable treatment for one side.

I'm pretty sure any M2 affect doesn't trigger devour.

Hiding devore hope until 5 stacks. Maybe it shouldn't be possible.
Even with 0 stacks, the totem is still burning!

Yeah exactly

All* M2 attacks--nevermind, someone already got to it.
*Actually, Plague can as well.
Unpopular opinion: Devour revealing on M2 attacks is fine--you should be using the M1 to take advantage of the fact that they're exposed anyway instead of trying to hide it.
That, and I'm a sucker for neat little differences, and my inner gremlin is cackling at the fact that NOED doesn't reveal on M2 attacks but Devour does. I love the little complexities they put in like that.

For a hex totem that can be blessed or cleansed before you even get a minor speed boost away from a hooked survivor, and rewards leaving hooked survivors and going for multiple survivors... yeah, no reason this perk should be revealing itself to survivors through special attacks.

I’m pretty sure nemesis can hide it as well - his whip reveals it, but I don’t think his zombies do.
And technically any killer can hide it if they get hooks solely with grabs/pulling people out of lockers from 3 stacks onwards. That just never happens.

Really I thought huntress use a broad axe not an hatchet. I know hitboxes of hatchets are crazy but no way compared as throwing a broadaxe lol

You are right, but as you become a better Huntress you rely less on her melee and more on her ranged. Making it her primary.

Unfortunately, that's just semantics.
If you want to down survivors with the hatchets in one hit, use the Iridescent heads. The Exposed status effect is for M1 attacks only, and the devs seem to want to keep it that way.

I never knew this was a thing.

@sizzlingmario4 but then hatchets should insta down.
