What license do you not want for DBD?

like the alien? it came to earth in several different stories. including alien vs. predator.
also, there's no reason to think the entity would be limited to just earth. This all powerful entity capable of joining people from everywhere in time, from diferent dimensions even. And put then all in a dimension created by itself. Yet limited to picking people from just 1 random planet?
that's like saying that someone who lifts weight in the USA can't do the same in Africa, because you only ever see them do it in the USA...

I believe it only targets a planet at once since it was never stated otherwise. Sorry, I'm not that familiar with The Alien franchise, only the first movie, if it came down to earth I wouldn't see a problem, I just don't want anything off-earth, but who knows? Maybe seeing the chapter being implemented would change my mind.

FEAR as I cant see Alma working that well in DBD without being similar to other killers, and FNAF for the anti-lgbtq controversy of the creator, and him getting royalties.

If this is case, Freddy is also not from world. I mean he is killing people the world we know. But he is from Dream World. He lived as human, he died as human and he turned Dream Demon.

it was never stated the entity could get people from multiple realities/dimensions, until it did.
the reason we don't see many alien killers, is because the horror movies this game is based on, didn't really use aliens all that much.
with Alien and predator being the exceptions. other than that, mostly folklore and "regular" humans.

######### man?

Chucky. It just doesn't work at all.

What? I like Scooby Doo and don't have an issue with the preservation of characters.

FNAF

Scooby skin for demo? Wanna turn dbd into a joke? "It AlReAdY iS"

Why are you so needlessly hostile to someone that wants something you done? 🏃🏻

FNAF. The game may have been made for a older teen/young adult audience, and yes they have members of that age range as fans, but the way the franchise is marketed now is to children, even if they don't fully understand the appropriate age or even what game the merchandise is from.
Add this chapter to the game would only bring in a lot of underage players that lie about their age online, just like many are so they can play FNAF in the first place.

FNAF. Anime anything, with the possible exception of Tomie or something else that is genuinely horrific (we don't need another Trickster).
I unironically want Scooby-Doo.
And Scooby did a crossover with Supernatural that featured R-rated gore, so it's not like it's completely outside the realm of possibility. Five survivors and maybe three or four killers (some of the good ones from the original show, like the Creeper and the black ghost from the episode that Supernatural was riffing off of). They could charge $30 for it, and we'd all buy.

god i need to read tomie

FNAF.

but... where in the lore does it say it's targeting Earth? I don't think it says that.

It doesn't matter what you want when what you want is a joke to the game lol

Not just in the movies. There are plenty of examples from the original series of magical stuff happening, ranging from hypnosis to a poltergeist making a sandwich for Scooby and Shaggy or apparent ghosts floating bones and candles around even after the main antagonists were already caught. The villains were always bad guys in masks, but it never meant the supernatural wasn't real in-universe.
Then there was the 13 Ghosts series which didn't skirt around the subject at all, and, likewise, the more recent Mystery Incorporated series, and even in the latest series, in the Halloween episode with that boomer rock band, in the final few seconds of the episode...
Some goobers in Cartoon Network's writing room have been trying to retcon real monsters in the Zombie Island and 13 Ghosts sequels, and you'll also notice that the villains in the movies have been getting goofier and less horror-themed, but hopefully this new direction won't last forever.
We need some Greatest Generation horror. Give us Bela Lugosi.
It is good.

Tomb Raider (uses guns which doesn't make any sense for this game)... IT (sorry but I feel that the game won't be able to handle him)... Mask (too comedic for this game)

I literally do not care ✨
The wonderful thing about these forums is we're free to express our opinions
Anyway stan Bruno

Alien of course

FNAF

I wonder that 2, although you will probably say what 90% of the playerbase is extremely against, lol

Daphne would fit on Kate more actually. Others are good.

I truly don't like the idea of having Chucky come to the game, I just can't deal with him as a character at all in a personal level that I cannot even explain
0 -
I really dig the idea of doing it as a parody skin collection, kinda like the L4D as you mentioned. Otherwise I agree that would be kind of too much.
1 -
I don't want fnaf which could happen, & I don't want scooby doo (which I don't think will ever happen)
Only really want (& will eventually get) Chucky pretty much take anything else as it comes though some are more underwhelming than others

Kate has more skins than Mikaela hence why I picked her

FNAF. I do NOT want dbd fans infesting the FNAF community. It’s the only fandom I’m in that is not toxic Lolol :(
2 -
It only took humans and creatures from earth, why would i assume anything else?

I'ma take a second to talk about the first bit. Just imagine tomie as a killer. Involving something with u as a survivor killing her multiple times xD
Seriously tho that could be sick with how unsettling that story is.

If it is not earth, its a least walking distance, because thats the way demo comes and goes. Xenomorph would have to walk a very long way. Took Ripley 57 Years to go back.

Aliens have been on earth several times...
we don't talk about bruno.
but I don't think a scooby skin works for demo. because of how demo walks... it would just look weird.
scooby would probably be a plushie

I'm pretty sure xenomorphs have been on earth
Edit looked it up and there was comics published by dark horse comics that had them on earth so it's possible for the xenomorph to be in dbd if they had to be on earth or close to it

Shaggy's Hook Scream would mostly likely be like a big "zoinks" when he gets hooked.
0 -
But actually it would be great. Running around as Scooby-Doo and when he gets hooked he says ruuut rooooow. And shaggy would be all zoinks! Just bloopin around the map probably doing gens but most likely failing to loop and getting in the way.

You are exactly describing what I don’t want :)
(ScoobyDoo could work as a stand-alone asymm game waaay better)

Five Nights At Freddy's. A lot know that me and the RE chapter have bad history because I care a lot about accuracy and it sucked heavily on that front. I think FNAF is a license that is doomed to suffer that fate. Not being accurate to the characters. Now I used to like FNAF but now I think it's pretty bad but my thoughts on the franchise aside I care about a license being treated with respect. Even if I don't give a single deal about it. FNAF is just doomed to suffer that and doesn't work in my opinion unless you want to make the characters not feel like the characters.

No Fnaf, the game is completely stupid, you literally sit on your a** and wait for a jumpscare. Boring franchise with reject Chucky cheese mascots
