How impactful is Dead Hard to the Devs' Stats?
When/If Dead Hard gets a change, do YOU think it will have a huge impact on escape rates?

No, the fact plenty of people says "just bait it out" is clear proof of how majority can't utilize this perk properly.

I mean i think it will impact kills in some way. Because one good dead hard for distance can buy up to a minute. (This is in good hands but its hard to mess it up imo i don't know how people do it so often) i also play at pretty high mmr so dead hard is fairly constant as it allows survivors to greed pallets. And when they get mind gamed E to "outplay" the killer so survivors i feel will go down more often.

It wont. Cause survivors will move on to the next perk to use in order. And you will see the same people crying a river about 99% Sprint Burst being uncounterable as now about DH.

Exactly

The chances are sprint burst doesn't help as much as dead hard.

With how many Survivors are using it poorly, I don't think it will make a big change

I seriously doubt it will make much of an impact. I imagine that most people complaining about dh will complain about anything else when they get outplayed.
A lot of people on this forum come off as… less than good at video games.

I don't think so.
Because it's really only good on those that can loop well anyways. It buys others maybe a few more seconds .
So I imagine those that are really good will still escape at a higher rate than those that struggle in chase.

If Sprint Burst were actually as good as Dead Hard it would probably be relatively close in popularity. But Dead Hard is used much more often than Sprint Burst simply because it’s a better perk.

WEll yes, but if dead hard gets changed, survivors will move back to sprint burst. The only difference between the two is the 1 extra hit. Plus sprint burst has no injured requirement and will be used at the start of the chase.
And you might see a increase in med kits with scyptic agents as a replacement for the hit.
Bottom line is then babies will move on to cry about the next perk in line when more survivors start using it.

Who cries about it doesn't really matter, sprint burst is objectively worse than dead hard, game will be more fair with them.

Actually Dead Hard does seem to have a pretty strong correlation with escape rates from the stats I’ve seen. One person posted results on 400+ games including what perks all the survivors had every match, and when you pivot out how many survivors had Dead Hard in a match versus escape rates per match it worked out to be something like he had a 70-80% kill rate against squads that had no Dead Hard but a 40% kill rate against squads that had all four survivors with that perk with corresponding results for 1-3 players using it (i.e. about +10% escape rate per survivor with Dead Hard in the match).
Of course correlation isn’t causation, it’s possible that strong players like Dead Hard and weak players don’t have it or don’t use it so some of that 10% is player skill versus boosts from the perk itself. But it was the only perk that had this level of increase. Borrowed Time for example was I think the second most popular perk but it had very little impact on the escape rate at all. (Probably since the killer was already respecting rescued survivors as if they had Borrowed Time even when they didn’t actually have it.) Likewise CoH has an impact but nothing like Dead Hard.
Unfortunately we don’t have access to broader game data to do this sort of pivot across a wide set of matches and killer players. But if Dead Hard’s average stats are in line with that 400 game sample then it’s got a very strong correlation with escapes currently.

I can’t comment on what “babies will cry about”. I’m just saying Dead Hard is probably overpowered currently while Sprint Burst probably isn’t.

Definitely, I think youd also see a rise in basic killers reaching a better mmr if the distance is gone (I hope so anyway, I'd like to verse a wide range of killers)
I feel Noed is doing the same for killers, especially at the lower mmr etc.
