Should "AFK Pig" be allowed?
It obviously is unfair for the survivor who gets stuck with the rbt on their head due to rng and the pig does nothing skillful to earn their kill except use their collision to stop people from using the box they're in front of. The survivor has no chance of getting enough gens done or altruism to get enough points to safety pip, when they did nothing wrong except be cucked by rng. I know not every pig with the iri tape addon does this but it seems really unfair that killers can guarantee kills and at the end of the game nobody gets over 10k points, not even the killer so what was the point? It would be nice if a killer stops in front of a box the box moves similar to pyramid head cages or such, or maybe the key you need transfers to another box if the killer stays too close to the box for a certain amount of time.

Nope, but the devs are apparently ok with it. That's the last I heard anyways. Another one of those things contributing to a steadily declining player base that still won't be addressed.

It's a non issue, the killer is losing the game on purpose in an incredibly niche scenario.
All the meta perks need to be nerfed, maps need to be rebalanced, generator speeds need to be addressed and boons need to be removed.

The specific AFK Pig scenario shouldn’t exist, but Pig situationally bodyblocking Jigsaw Boxes in a normal game shouldn’t be nerfed at all. If she sees someone running to a Jigsaw Box, she should be able to block them off it if she gets there first, as long as it’s not for a ridiculous amount of time.
Eg, she sees the RBT is beeping quick, which means timer is almost up. So she beats them to what is probably the survivor’s last box and blocks it for the remaining 60s or less, so they guaranteed die. That’s completely fine. I’d just make it so if she’s in like idk, 5m radius of the Jigsaw Box for more than 60s, any keys inside it randomly move to other boxes. That way it doesn’t affect strategic bodyblocking.

But kills equal skills doesn't matter how you got them. BHVR- "if you ran a killer for 5 gens but don't make it out is it really a skill play?"

If something like an AFK killer being able to kill 4 players shouldn't be addressed. The I guarantee that meta perks, map rebalanced, generator speeds and boons shouldn't be addressed either.
Do you think the developers are going to be proactive with balance changes when they aren't even making the effort to address bugs.

"AFK" isn't even correct anyway, they are just camping the box while pretending to be AFK.

I have over 3000 hours in this game, I rarely ever see Pig and only once have I seen a Pig using this gimmick. Non issue.
Nobody is quitting because of it, they're leaving because the game is an unbalanced mess and the game play is nightmarish in high MMR.

It's had multiple bug reports be set to 'acknowledged' which means a change is very likely on the way
Not matter how "consistant" it is or isn't, there should not be a manner of playing where a survivor has a 0% chance of escaping the trial because the killer decides to not play the game

Just make it so if she stays near a box for more than 20 seconds and it's a box for a players trap it becomes another box on the map. AFK pig is dumb and will lose you most matches but the fact its even possible at all is pretty ridiculous and it's borderline holding the game hostage.

Killer tactically trying to block a box to secure a kill is a nogo but 3 survivors getting a save in egc with bt and all tanking and blocking a hit is completly ok.

Thats not body blocking. The player can still leave the game. Body blocking is like holding the game hostage, where the player cannot move. As far as I can tell, the survivor can move freely.
The devs just need to find another way for Survivors to escape the trap other than the jigsaw puzzles.
Examples could be using a toolbox or adding a perk that works like the toolbox (no insane repair speeds), or have another survivor assist in removing the trap like healing.
I'm hoping the devs have something like this up their sleeve, because while it's all fair, it isn't fun.

You're comparing survivors playing altruistically to the killer NOT playing the game at all and just sitting on their behind doing nothing and being rewarded for it

There are certain stages of interaction that developers will have time to do. Think of it like an inverted pyramid.
- Content Creation - This is where BHVR is spending all of it's time and effort, think of the release of Sadako, Freddy, Michael Myers, etc. This is happening immediately. This is the largest part of the pyramid.
- Game Changing Issues - This is where BHVR spends the the next largest amount of time and effort. Think of SBMMR, Killers getting stuck in pallets, Unbreakable Boon Totems.
- Bugs - Think of none game changing bugs, such as Pig being able to sit AFK and kill 4 players. No time or effort is being spent here.
- Finally Balance Changes - This is where Monstrous Shrine is buffed. This is the tip of the pyramid. If the developers don't have time to fix bugs, they sure as heck aren't going to make buffs and nerfs.
What I'm saying is that you aren't going to get buffs and nerfs if all of the developers time is drying up before it can even hit the other stages of interaction.
So you should be asking the developers to set aside time for bugs, so they spare time after fixing bugs can be used to work on balance changes.

Add on itself is perfectly working as intended, and you don't even need that addon to do tactic.
If it's a problem, pig itself is the problem that should be killswitched.
The fact is, more or less you have one, hatches will bypass traps.

Simple solution. You need to go too 3 boxes and the 3rd one will automatically get he trap off

They have a chance, but that requires great coordination from the survivors:
Remove as many traps as possible. Repair five gens to 99%, then pop them all at once. All ppl without trap excape though exit gates. If there's just one survivor left, fine search for the hatch. If more than one have an active trap, all but one have to sacrifice themselves by running out of the gate. Then the last one can take the hatch again. If the pig also starts searching the hatch, try remove trap. If she beats you to both hatch and back to box, then you were unlucky.

Yes there is such a thing.
If 2 survivors have their key in the same box and the pig blocks it, there is 0 counterplay. 1 survivor has a 100% guaranteed chance to die with no recourse
It doesn't matter how likely or unlikely it is, you shouldn't spawn in the match and be basically already dead.
It doesn't change the fact that 1 survivor is basically dead from the get-go with no skill expression or effort from the killer. It's poor design and makes no sense.
At least when you get facecamped by Bubba he has to actually beat you in a chase first

So Killswitching that addon should be done until the Devs can come up with a solution to it
I do like the idea of sabotaging a Pig box... but Sabotage got it's change due to Trapper Traps being able to get sabo'd

You do realise only 1 survivor can ever escape through the hatch at any time, right?
The hatch only spawns when there is 1 survivor remaining
So, not to be rude but maybe read up how these mechanics actually work before declaring other people to be wrong

I doubt anybody needs to be banned for it since it’s not exactly effective, but the devs should probably patch the jigsaw boxes so that survivors can use them from the sides. That way the killer can’t literally be afk the whole match and get a kill while they wait.

100% of 1 person dying is 100% of 1 person living, you don't know which one will be, thus 50% of that person dying.

I have solution actually and this will be buff for Pig. Now you can not remove trap on first box or last box. It is 2nd or 3rd. So Pig's exploit gone and plus now Pig's traps will waste more times of survivors. Win - Win.

I'm not contesting the fact that it's a brainless and poor mechanic. I'm contesting the notion that you have zero chance of surviving. Bc. this scenario only comes to play when at least two need the box the pig is guarding. Lets look at the chances:
The chance of no one needing the pigs box: (3/4)^4 = 81/256 = 0,316 -> 31,6%
Chance of one needing the pigs box: 4 * (1/4) * (3/4)^3 = 27/64 = 0,422 -> 42,2%
So you have a whooping 73,8 % (so nearl 3 out of 4 games) where at most one is effected, so it the survivor play it right, the one with the active trap has a good chance of escaping through that hatch, ans no one dies.
If you are unlucky enough to have n ppl effected, then sure n-1 are bound to die. But thats unlikely, and still there's a chance for one of them to still escape.

In all honesty the simplist solution is to allow the box to be used on the opposite side so that the pig cant BB just one side as removing collision imo could cause more issues.

But that's not my point, I'm aware of how 'consistant' the """strat""" is.
I'm saying once a survivor or survivors have their boxes blocked, their chance of escape is essentially 0. Meaning once the match starts, the pig picks a box and if that box just happens to hold a key then like I've said - no counterplay, no recourse or skill. Just sit still and don't play the game
None of this would matter if they just made it so using the tape addon lets survivors leave through the exit gate with an active trap

One of them has to die on purpose in order for the other to escape, there is no 50% chance of Survival.
They will both die if one does not sacrifice themself because both of their trap timers started at the exact same time.

The addon just shouldn't exist. Regardless of the strategy OP mentioned. The fact that you can get chased from the start of the game with the only opportunity of escaping via an RNG hatch is just plain dumb (no matter how well you play).

It's just like a face camping Bubba if you fall victim to it there's nothing you can do yet there's really no answer that can be implemented to forcefully answer it without possibly destroying something else.
The chances of it happening though are very low and killer isn't really doing anything so the other survivors should be getting a free escape and the killer already gets punished with a depip and minimal BP more likely a net loss in BPs since the add-ons cost more than what they will even gain.

So from what I'm reading... It's unfair for survivors to get cucked by RNG reverse bear traps. But is it fair to spawn in as killer and have each survivor spawn by a separate gen? Thats basically a lose for the killer because no matter who they pressure 3 gens are always gonna be worked on. And for semi smart survivors thats basically a free 3 out against 85% of the killer roster.

Pig don’t need nerf, survivors shouldn’t expect to 4K escape every game. Besides what’s stopping a pig from putting the rbt on you themselves and body block the box?
