Do you like the new Shrine of secrets?

DISCLAIMER: this is only my opinion

So in current shrine of secrets are pretty basic perks (botany knowledge, Quick and Quiet, Tinkerer).

Only one perk isn't available in base game. But in chapter dlc: Demise of Faithfull. The perk is from Plague and it's called Dark Devotion, which is the only perk worth buying.

    I've always thought of the Shrine as a way to get perks without levelling, not a way to get perks without spending money, so I'm fine with it. They're all relatively useful perks, save for Dark Devotion that's only really useful in gimmick builds, so it's a perfectly serviceable Shrine as far as I'm concerned.

    Shrine of Secrets is pretty much unreliable if you want certain perks.

    Surge took 2 years to appear in it.

    Shrine is outdated and needs a big rework (aka buff).

    Shrine shouldn't even be able to have free perks.

    The shrine shouldn't have perks from the free characters

    Hard disagree.

    I am so sick of this attitude of "STOP PUTTING FREE CHARACTERS IN THE SHRINE!".

    The Shrine was not created because some people are too cheap to spend $3.50 on a DLC. I pay more than that for a hamburger.

    I use SoS for 3 reasons;

    1. I don't feel like spending 1M BP to unlock certain perks. This is especially true for survivors. If a survivor only had 1 good perk, then it's not worth leveling them up. David has Dead Hard and WGLF so it's worth leveling him. Bill has BT and UB so again it's worth leveling him up. For killers it may be worth leveling the killer most of the time, unless you have 0 interest in playing them (i.e. Huntress Lullaby is fun on Doctor but I don't like playing Huntress)

    2. Unlock perks for characters you haven't purchased.

    3. If you gotten most of the perks you want and you'd rather have BP. I do this only when leveling up killers, and when I have excess shards and am not looking for certain perks. It helps with leveling up new killers as 2000 shards is 15% of the grind.

    I'm actually happy that they're basic perks. I can trade my shards for bloodpoints

    Well combine it with starstruck and you have a homing beacon to your next target the down if they are nearby
