Just because people ask for basekit Shadowborn or an FoV slider on a daily basis doesnt mean people can just go ahead and do what they want.
The low killer Fov is an intentional balance choice so no matter how uncomfortable people find it, that's how Bhvr designed killers to be.

Editing files to increase FOV

Watched a streamer today as nurse with a pretty noticeable FOV increase and no perks. Asked him about it and he said he edited game files outside of the game to do this. He also stress the devs gave it full blessing to do so and that if wasnt bannable or cheating. Is this really the case?

What's happening is BHVR tried to stop stretched res and now people are finding a workaround for it

Honestly idk why so much game data is client side. This is a huge part of why hacking is so easy in this game.

I do wish base FOV would increase. I can sympathize with it honestly. Unless he had like 180 bird-eye view of the map I don't think its a huge deal.
