Listen, after game chat box for console!!!
I don't care that it would take too much time to type out, cause honestly, it's not. We have cross play, but we don't even have the features that they have. If you have something to say you make the time. I mean if your just saying gg that takes no time. We have autofill and can even plug keyboards into our consoles. It's time to cut the crap and share this feature with us. show us some love 😏.

What wym man you want to stay in the dark ages.

Bruh you get berated either way when they hop on the Xbox app or psn to talk the smack, and we cant just look up the steam name we see cause their actual steam name can be something else entirely.

listen we got to fight for what's right not just bend over and take it.
0 -
you know exactly what you're talking about

Xbox one does have a chatpad for their controllers so its possible
1 -
Yknow, half the people I actually wanted to message on ps4 dbd had her accounts totally privated, so yeah :|
3 -
Same for me
2 -
I mean, why not. I’d deactivate the chat though, don’t need to see toxic messages from random people.
0 -
think were fine with out it.
1 -
No, it's just a breeding ground for toxicity. I'd rather they use their resources and focus on more important things for console like optimization than an unnecessary chat box.
3 -
I see no reason why console shouldn’t have post game chat. Anyone who doesn’t like it can just disable it.
2 -
Why not both?
0 -
only if it disable by default
0 -
No thanks, it’s actually a great thing we don’t have it currently.
4 -
Because chat is "just a breeding ground for toxicity."
0 -
Is it disabled by default on pc? Makes no difference to me either way but it’s not like it’s a big ask to click a couple of buttons either way.
0 -
In a recent Q&A that question brought up and they said: "This is never gonna happen."
Totally negative about console endgame chat.
2 -
How so? If you don’t like the prospect of “toxicity” you can just disable it or it can be disabled by default.
1 -
it is that something new? normally we had to re disable it every-time we booted the game up.
2 -
Fine by me.

Did they elaborate on their reasoning?
1 -
This.
In the long list of things that the developers could use their resources -- time, the most important of them -- to work on the game, an unnecessary chat that, judging from what more people say than not, is usually just a salt fest of people complaining about how the other side played -- or worse, hate messages -- is NOT one of those things. Who honesty would rather see valuable resources spent on a chat on console so you can be told to off yourself because you didn't two-hook everyone first or were running Dead Hard over having ... I don't know -- the numerous bugs in the game fixed, or worthless perks reworked, or SBMM fixed, or optimization for consoles, or any of the other issues the game faces?

honestly, I like your take on this and heck they will never get it right there will just be dissapointment.

I'd like to have an in-game chat so I can finally turn my Xbox Live messages back on. I have them turned off specifically because of DbD and the harassment I get from salty survivors.

Yeah, let's make exhaustion a regular timer again. Sprint burst into BL into lithe into DH. That will bring back the killer base for sure...

The devs hardly allocate resources towards the majority of proposed quality of life or even gameplay features as it is, yet they are supposedly the largest developer in Canadia Land. I think we should be encouraging them to invest more resources and effort into the game as opposed to condoning their often hands-off approach.
There’s already enough of a disparity between PC and console, and players who want to interact with other people in-game don’t get the privilege to do so, unlike on PC. I’d say that’s a perfectly reasonable reason to allocate some likely small (in the scheme of things) resources towards allowing console players the option to communicate with other people in an online multiplayer game (where chat is more often than not a standard feature.)

I'm sure if we had end game chat it wouldn't stop them from still messaging you from Xbox Live messages or in my case PSN messages thing which I also have turn off for this game only.
cross end game chat would just make it easier for people from different platforms to chat/message you( mostly never good messages)
1 -
No, they just rejected the possibility.
1 -
My hopes would be that they would get enough rage out of their system in the end-game chat that the number of XBL messages I got would be far less than now.
0 -
wishful thinking this is only game where I have to turn off messages I have this game on steam and PSN both are turned off
I play more on my ps4 then steam.
2 -
Sounds about right.

Uff, no thanks. It is good that there is no chat on consoles.
And for some people here it would be better if they were strong enough to close their PC end game chat as well.

BHVR Finna make me act up.
