Honestly solid I've been taking a bit of break and it was significantly worse like 4 months ago

It'd be so much better for me if CoH never existed, Dead Hard didn't get buffed, MMR was gone, and console crossplay was walled off from PC. That would be a really good DbD to me

Not really.
The most balanced state was right after the Hatch nerf and before Boons

I agree. Game was good (not best but playable) after hatch nerf but BHVR decided make it unbalanced again.

The game is circling the drain. The perk/playstyle variety I see each game has been dramatically reduced.

The hatch nerf was in the same patch as the introduction of boons.
Though if there was a gap between the two then I would probably agree with you.
Without boons the game really wouldn't be so bad right now.

Objectively awful. The devs clearly shot themselves in the foot with Dead Hard and CoH, there's no way to overcome these perks as a killer. The map design seems to get worse with every single release as well, it's just nonstop survivor sided structures with extremely safe pallets and strong loops.

I'm still having fun, but this community wears me down over time. Once I finish out the tome, I'll probably be taking a break until the mid chapter.

Solo que is still mostly a trash experience and too many complaints about dead hard. Also, keys are a much less relevant item now. I never go for keys in the bloodweb.

Sometimes. I find it depends a lot on the time of day. Playing during the daytime (vs peak evening hours) is far more enjoyable on both sides. My theory is that there’s a better killer to survivor ratio during the daytime and maybe SBMM sort of works a little bit during the day (it doesn’t work at all during peak evening hours). There are also fewer 4-man SWF teams during the daytime. On the survivor side, solo queue always has a baseline level of frustration but during the daytime at least the queue times are shorter. I also have fun most of the time playing with friends in the evenings, but we usually have to wait between 5-10 minutes to get a match due to the killer shortage.
I totally agree with the comments from others that boons (particularly CoH) made the game way less fun. The game was way more fun for both sides before the CoH meta emerged which made tunneling and camping far more of a requirement to secure kills. I wish BHVR would admit they made a huge mistake with this perk and get rid of it or at least nerf it down to where it’s not as OP but I am not hopeful that they will

I think it's on an okay spot, people complain a lot about mmr but my matches were alrealdy bad before it so it didn't change much, the only thing I would change are boons.

I mean I still think Boons arent nearly as much of an issue. Even CoH, which is probably the most complained about perk isnt the issue. Ive said this hundreds of times and Ill say it again
CoH isnt the issue, its a bright light shining EXTREMELY bright on the true issue which is healing. But the community is too damn blind to recognize that and instead theyre focusing on the decoy
A game where everyone is bringing a strong medkit will be scarier than everyone bringing CoH, why? Because a perk slot is MUCH more valuable than an item slot. And thats 4 more perks Survivors can bring

Character representation is its finest point. QoL is trash. Optimization is trash. Balance is trash. The gameplay is practically a diamond in the rough. Just have to get someone like McLean back on that dev team that knows ######### they're doing to not balance an asymmetrical game like hockey.....

I wish people would learn that you can use more fun perks and still do very well. It's more geared towards survivors though because I just think survivor is easier too play even without any perks than killer so lesser used perks are fine. Killers should to but I get why they use maybe a couple meta stuff mostly like a ruin or pop. But even for killers the entire build doesn't have to be that.
