For those who say Spirit is not S tier anymore
She still is,for those who say you know from which direction she comes.
She literally has an addon that makes it impossible to tell from which side she will come at a loop.
Even if you do,its still a 50/50,just because you know when to drop a pallet,or when to vault a window because now you know when she's close, that doesn't mean you know from which side she comes for sure.
Spirit is just as opressive on players that play her at the same skill level as Nurse or Blight players.
If anything she's just as good, she just has a bit higher skill ceiling now.
This is the addon i'm talking about

S-Tier killers have not so much counterplay and ignores most loops. Spirit is still strong but she is not un-counterable anymore. She has fair counters and strong add-ons. And she is highest A. I think she is okey now. But i don't think she is close to Blight or Nurse.
1 -
She’s 100% still S tier. Her nerf put her below Blight but that’s it.
4 -
She is the best killer after them.
0 -
Yeah but she is not S, she is not same level of Blight and Nurse. But she is strongest killer after them, true.
2 -
I'd say you underestimate Spirit players a bit,but I understand,different opinions.
0 -
That addon completely throws off 95% of all survivors.
And still, its extremely hard to predict from which side she will come even with the directional audio cue.
0 -
She’s not as oppressive as Nurse and Blight but she’s still very strong. Also Furin still lets the survivor when she goes into her power which was the only nerf she needed to begin with.

I thought you made this thread when I saw the title

umm..
ok

I was finishing your sentence.

ok

Thats not how furin works fam, they can still hear the directional audio.

I would say she's at least 4/5 stars simply by virtue of having great speed to catch up to survivors that she just hit and decent stealth (yeah survivors can hear her now but it's still pretty good). Her 110% movement speed out of stealth does hurt her slightly though, as does Iron Will being relatively popular, so those might be enough to keep her out of the 5/5 stars bracket. (Not that I'm a Spirit main so take my opinion with a grain of salt.)

Lmao!
Furin/ Pre nerf Prayer beads doesn't work like that.
So long as Spirit is on the map all survivors will hear her phasing except it's omnidirectional!
Once your 32m (I think) from her weather she's phasing or not, you will hear her directional phasing
0 -
It’s 24m

All due respect, add-ons do not define a killers strength!
For example,
Omega Blink nurse made Sally way too powerful! Without those add-ons even the way Sally is now she retained at least 45% of her strength without Omega blink!

Spirit is S tier and that's a fact
Spirit tier
0 -
She’s always S tier. Not even talking about strength, she’s just naturally the best.
1 -
Her nerf hurt her bad, really bad. She's now the third best Killer and not the second best, unless you're running MDR with DCB then she's even better than pre-nerf
2 -
She has a variety of counterplay pre-nerf, and now she's been nerfed so she has even more counterplay. How is this killer still S tier to you? I have a friend who mained Spirit, and since her nerfs he really doesn't know what to do with her. "How do the devs even want people to play her?" he says.
3 -
nope, when survivors are just a bit further away from spirit’s husk’s breathing range and she phases, they’ll hear an omnidirectional audio cue and i tested it in a private match :)
if they’re closer to it then yeah sure they’ll hear it directionally

I get nothing but DC's playing spirit lately. Can't go 2 matches back to back without 1 or more people disconnecting, as soon as I get my first down (usually less than a minute into the game). Nothing tells me that a killer is OP more than survivors straight up leaving the match. And I don't even run top-tier add-ons, mostly brown and yellow.
0 -
Are you being sarcastic saying Spirit is OP?
0 -
100% expected to see you as the OP lol.
0 -
I think a lot of people did lol.
0 -
In the right hands, absolutely.
0 -
Really? OP? Are you only considering her strongest add ons because then I’d agree. Not basekit Spirit though.
0 -
She's easier to play without her top-tier add-ons like mother-daugher ring or cherry blossom, which remove scratch marks all together. Brown and yellow add-ons are still pretty nice, and while 10% increase in speed isn't a 40% increase, it's still plenty. Yellow duration and recharge is already pretty decent, and don't come with the downsides of the red and purple add-ons.
You can get 30% duration out of stacking brown and yellow add-ons, and 15% speed doing the same. Yeah, I'd say even without add-ons taken into consideration, she's top-tier. Perhaps not the best, but certainly among them, assuming someone isn't picking her up for the first time.
I'd rank the top 3 in the following order, add-onless: Nurse, Blight, Spirit. Perhaps Huntress could contest for the third spot, but I haven't really gathered enough proficiency playing her without add-ons to make that assessment, where I've gone probably hundreds of games playing without add-ons as those 3 I've listed.
In my personal opinion, she's among the best killers in the game, and you're free to try and change my mind, though I don't see what that would accomplish. I'm not trying to convince anyone, I'm merely stating my own perception of things the way I see them.

Well I do agree she’s S tier and Blight tier, I’m just trying to figure out why she’s OP. High level survivors are very attentive and can pay attention to the audio very well, forcing you to have to mind game while blind. Again she’s still very strong in the right hands, but she’s not unbeatable strong.

Never said she didn't have a counter. Windows and pallets work pretty well against her, it's just a toss of a coin if you end up on the right side or not. One thing that makes Spirit strong in my books is that she's a pretty forgiving killer, I can screw up in a chase, and worst case wait 15 seconds and recover from it with little to no repercussions. Even the oh so scary Dead Hard doesn't bother me, the only thing that gets in my way sometimes is survivors pre-dropping pallets in chokepoints, which is absolutely the right thing to do when a Spirit comes phasing at you. I feel 100% confident to play a clean, fair game without resorting to tunneling, camping or slugging, and that's a sign that the killer is strong, at least to me. I don't know if I would get the same results playing that way as a Ghostface, Demo, Myers or Sadako, and feel a lot more pressure to perform that I simply don't feel when playing spirit. Maybe the killer just suits me though and my inherent bias is coming through.

she is not S-tier for me because I feel like I can 1vs1 spirit for long time, somewhat consistently. I'd say on average, if spirit commit to me, its like 3 gen chase on average. I'd say it is almost possible to do 5 gen chases against her. I'd say she is around average(B), but is A-tier if she uses DCB+MDR. Its certainly harder to loop her with those. There is more of guessing game with faster speed. I like playing against MDR spirit now, but I do not like DCB as much. It makes her more braindead with less mindgame potencial. I think I prefer old Stridor spirit than the add-on. Stridor, you can manipulate sounds, Killer instinct, not so much.
Few other comments I can make around tier-list.
I think doctor is underrated in his tier list because when you look all other killers in doctor's tier, They have very little chase to no chase potential. If they have any chase potencial, its pretty easy to counter them often just by dropping pallets a bit sooner etc. A lot of killer in C-tier are practically 5 gen chase possible in about 80% of maps. doctor is pretty tough to 5 gen chase. He has gameplay at every loop but he is ultimately slow at what he does. I would label killer that are slow at what they do in average tier. He wins chases, He just does not win them quickly.
I think bubba and Oni underrated/overrated killers. If you look at all b-tier killers, B-tier are able to win chases but they win chases slowly, too slow for the game standard. Oni can win chases at very good/100% consistency when he get demon form. He is likely to get 1 down if per demon form he gets assuming Oni player is good. He just get demon form slowly. very slowly. Its too slow for game tempo. Oni is suppose to slug players so he can get more value out of demon but dev punish Oni for slugging and punish for just about any action he does. While his skill-ceiling is very high, He is not reward for it at all. In modern day, I'd compare him to unrewarding blight, similar to how many players compare curving billy to unrewarding blight.
Bubba is underrated in comparison to tier list. His instant down is easily accessible unlike Oni. His skill-floor is pretty low if your entire objective is to walk someone 2 meter away and rev chainsaw for instant down and many people discredit his difficult by saying you can 4k through facecamping, but strong bubba players do not rev chainsaws within 2 meters. They rev chainsaws from 15+ meters and time their charges such that they hit the survivor on very last swing of chainsaw, perfectly timing the distance of it every single time while also taking account windows & tight curves. This gives deceptively average-high skill-ceiling.
Otz says that nemesis has fastest pallet break and that is simply not true. Bubba has fastest pallet break in the game. He breaks pallet 1 second. For comparison, A normal pallet break is 2.5 seconds. To break pallets in 1 second, That is brutal strength at 150%! Nemesis is 2.5 and he has 0.35 wind-up time. Its just nothing in comparison. He has rev for 2 seconds but as I stated above statement, bubba rev chainsaws well-advance as they curve around pallets taking into account their slowdown. The instant down capacity removes bodyblock potential, entirely skips dead hard as a perk, neutralizes effectiveness of Borrow time and overall pierces health states like butter where COH is mild time-waste.
I'd say for all intensive purposes, Bubba is most practical and most powerful instant down killer. I would switch Oni & Bubba position in tier list. He is last of good instant downs killers that the game has and if he was to change like some survivor main posts request, There would not be a single solid instant down killer choice left for killers.

Good tierlist although one change I would do is put pig in c tier but that's my inner pig main thinking she should be c tier lol

otz said it guys so its factually correct

It's interesting that a Killer is considered "S" tier when running a rare add-on. When Nurses even without add-ons is considered S tier.
1 -
A good Spirit is still S tier even without addons.
0 -
They probably do that because Spirit is straight up not fun to go againts, ever.
0 -
this tierlist is just hilarious and wrong... just because otz says something doesn't mean that is 100% the truth. for example putting twins as a A tier it's pathetic honestly. also try to use her in midwitch aganist people who know how to loop properly, then you'll see how much "s tier" she is...
