Myers House address error [PLEASE FIX BEFORE RELEASE]
After the drop of the new Haddonfield map images, I really want to get word to the team that the numbers on the house are wrong, and are actually the street numbers for a replica Myers house in North Carolina.
A simple Google or watching Halloween 2 clearly indicates Michael's home address as 45 Lampkin Lane. The number on the house should simply be 45. That's lore accurate.
However, both DBD and Funko Pops have tacked the number 1520 onto their Myers houses. This number is the address to a replica Myers house in NC (and the owner of it is kind of a huge dicc who doesn't deserve to be an Easter egg in the game).
It just seems like someone googled the Michael Myers house and used the first image they saw rather than being accurate to the franchise. The house in the first film didn't even have numbers on the front, so omitting the numbers completely would also be better than having the wrong address.
Hopefully someone can get this to the design team so we can see the correct Myers house. <3

No, the person who owns that house was never contacted by anyone regarding the use of his house numbers on Funko Pops or in DBD, and he himself was only made aware of the Funko within the last couple months. The Myers house has been incorrect in DBD this whole time, but it was such an old map it didn't warrant a thread until rework time.
It was simply a lack of research.

He posted about finding out Funko had 1520 on their Myers pop on his Instagram and that's all there was to it. Nothing sensational. but as someone who knew and worked with him personally, I'm not going to promo his profile/business with a link.
He treats Myers cosplayers as props to promote his house in media (my boyfriend was there as Michael for a piece for Great Big Story) and another cosplayer who did the Michael for fangoria magazine (LastRedShoulder on Instagram). He infrequently credits the cosplayers and people who work with him (for free) on his horror business events, and treats people around him like they're only worth as much as they can do for him. He continues to use their photos on his page despite the cosplayers being estranged from him for that reason.
I'm sure you can find his house on Google though, I just won't be the one to promote it. Lol.

Small correction: the original house DID have numbers (which were blurry in the OG film and hard to see), but the original address was 707 Meridian Ave, Pasadena CA! So I'm guessing 707 is also a correct number to put on the house model!

Fyi BHVR doesn't have the full Halloween license. Hence the name "The Shape" it's the first movie license. They worked out a new deal for the anniversary with the re-released movie from 2018 adding the screw driver/ escaped patient look and old woman lorie

I never said he deserves to be "canceled". In the scope of the first post, I indicated he just didn't deserve to be an Easter egg in a game with which he has nothing to do. The bulk of the first post was regarding lore and franchise accuracy.
The fact that the map is undergoing rework right now is WHY it needs to be brought up before it's re-released inaccurate again. If you wanna hyperfocus on once sentence in the original post, that's on you. Not my problem.

In addition, hospital Myers and his screwdriver have nothing to do with the H18 trilogy. The hospital robe is from his escape at the beginning of the first film, and they added an IV to his arm. No idea where the abnormally long screwdriver came from, since he never wields one, but I assume it's the same creative liberties. We also don't have an old woman Laurie and nothing's been posted about plans to add her, although it would be great, and JLC has said she's now cool having her likeness in the game.

Fair enough, you are also correct about the cosmetic being from Halloween 4.

The pipe is used in the movie. Since its a garage scene I guess the screw driver could be easily swapped as the weapon or possible alternate take?
With H18 being a re-release/remake the garage scene was reused in the flim and I was mistaken.
However Laurie's dlc cosmetic is from the first movie
With the graphical update you can clearly see that Laurie no longer looks like a old woman.
Although I do remember seeing a yt leak of a incomplete in Halloween theme map inspired by the checkered floor Asylum from H18.
All signs point to the anniversary The Shape dlc being related to Halloween 4 and Lourie as the original.

Actually in Halloween 4, he doesn't use a pipe. He uses either the handle from a car jack to impale the mechanic. But again, they probably took liberties because they don't have the rights from whoever holds Moustapha Akkad's estate and his IPs. Those rights are separate from H18/Kills/Ends, which are owned by Universal & Blumhouse. If we were getting 2018 garage murder Myers, he would also be in something more like scrubs instead of a gown.
Ryan Turek who is part of the team who made the most recent trilogy actually plays DBD, so it would be great if we could get skins from the new trilogy though. But that's a lot of tape to get through. So many hands have been in the Halloween licensing bucket.

Update, they didn't change it. Kinda lazy, team. It would've taken no effort at all to just remove the numbers. All that work to refinish the map and the house number couldn't be changed to be accurate?

@MandyTalk Could you please forward this to the appropriate team? I know Paulie said he brought it to devs but nothing changed. The map looks so great and this is such a simple change to make it lore and film accurate.
