I'm a Nurse main, 19k blink attacks and counting (I've been called a "God" Nurse, which is something that as far as I'm concerned means "lucky" or "having a good day").

I'm regularly watching Supaalf play, among others.

    I've watched the BOTB.

There are no "Gods". The concept only exists in the eyes of those who were vastly outmatched by an opponent they don't understand well enough. (Kind of the principle of a god when you think about it)

I know however what a very good Nurse looks like. They can be countered, it's just not as easy as, say, a simple M1 killer. Then again playing a Nurse isn't as easy as playing said M1 killer either. (And there we go back at her having the lowest kill rate from the roster and the cycle starts again ...).

I know I'll not be able to have long chases against every Nurse (especially the ones that are better than me) but how is that a problem? I don't expect to win against better players. I however expect to improve versing them, and I believe I do.

In my games, I get one over maybe ten Nurses able to put me in trouble, and usually only because the team sucks (solo queue, my teammates aren't playing anymore). The other Nurses get usually tea-bagged at the doors by the immature crowd I'm grouped with.

I'm not denying your ability with her I'm a nurse main and I know she can be countered I've faced SupaAlf in pubs probably about 5-6 times I escaped 2 times because he was trying to do the afk end game builds for his channel but the other times I lost and I'm not blaming the other survivors but as a team we weren't coordinated because it was solo whether they were skillful or not is another thing I don't know them so I won't judge, but against top tier nurse players only a strong team will survive you can't have throwing and uncoordinated plays or else you're gonna be playing glow worm simulator and alot of the players that play this game just aren't good and throw so unless you're a swf or a good group of solos against a good nurse it's a gg

I think I agree with everything you have just said. I believe that it is as it should be. Ideally there shouldn't be too much difference of strength between players in a game. The number of times I'm in the "wrong" match (whatever role, whatever strength imbalance) is staggering. That is however another issue. (Although I'm more annoyed when I verse weaker survivors than a weaker killer, which I find puzzling.)

One problem that presents itself after what you have just said is that a good killer (outside of the "top 3") has a hard time versing a good group of survivors (SWF or not). The top players may be able to make it work (playing harshly) but I'd be surprised if it was even 1% of the players.

When you look some of the games from CoconutRTS : he may be the best Huntress out there but some of his games are just painful. And I'm not even speaking of the cheaters.

That's because Dead Hard is a bad exhaustion perk for going against her. Which is why Nurse is so awesome. She puts all the easy crutches entitled survivors are accustomed to rely on and turns them upside down. We really need more Nurse-like designs in this game.

Maybe you should make your argument using a streamer that doesn't de-rank and purposely plays at easier time slots to play against potatoes. Of course every killer is going to look OP when you go against yellow perk survivors.

I destroyed a streamers SWF last night after they took me to auto haven with their clicky clickys and when I watched back they kept saying "op nurse" "easy no skill killer" "I DC usually vs nurse" "oppressive killer" "prefer going against a deathslinger" (lol at the deathslinger one)

Meanwhile, their accounts were devotion 20 and higher and yet they can't play against a nurse pretty much every hook was due to them camping a pallet and dropping it and vaulting and me short blinking, quick flicking and hitting them in the vault.

The epitome of skill right there.

I recently learned that she insta-attacks like that if she presses the attack button while she's blinking. It still doesn't mean it's fair though. Because it's not like we waited too long to use Dead Hard either. By the time we realize she's blinked on us, it's already too late because her attack comes out before we can even knee jerk button press.

I'm pretty sure that if I press the attack button before getting out of the blink, nothing happens at all.

edit: how about that, I was wrong. (Maybe that's how they've fixed the age-old M1 bug)

I don't see any speed difference though. I should film both cases. Note that I don't think I'd use an attack that way because it would only work if my blink landed perfectly, which is far from being a given with unpredictable survivors.

That being said, I usually "predict" the hit, for any killer. Dead Hard is too unreliable otherwise.

Took me like 2 days to learn nurse, and got years of profit. Good investment.

She is, relative to other killers. I think most nurses are really bad, tbh. Players who put enough time into learning her can be oppressive, but most don't.

If I had to rank the top 10 easiest games I've had as a surv, I'd bet all of them would be versus a Nurse. If you run into a player who is just learning Nurse, it's usually a pitiable display to watch.

Conversely, the same would probably be true of the top 10 times my team got absolutely stomped. The SupaAlf type Nurses are easily the most oppressive killers to go against. Not much to be done, unless you're a god tier surv.

to be fair on a good day i feel like when i play nurse the survivors really cant do much even if they are really good like dont get me wrong theres a big difference between bad and good survs but its still nurse but an average nurse or a bad nurse still fold people because they just have literally no idea how to play against nurse but picture it from their pov they already arent great loopers of an m1 killer probably so trying to then completely change the way they loop on top of that is almost impossible for some less experienced or even more experienced players

But shouldn’t that be the case? You should have to put in time to learn against a killer. You should not be able to boot up dbd and just be able to win.
