Question about the upcoming Legion buffs
"Additionally, a fifth hit will end your frenzy and put any Survivor into the dying state".
Even to healthy survivors?
Comments
-
I feel that ability is going to be nearly useless once you kill the first survivor.
11 -
can I hit the same survivor 5 times in a row?
0 -
No, second hit will stop your power.
2 -
Does it work if the survivor is affected by Deep Wounds? ie. you hit survivor 1, into survivor 2, into survivor 3, into survivor 4, then hit survivor 4 again while they're still in Deep Wounds to insta-down them?
8 -
I've actually only played like two games ever as Legion. TIL.
0 -
Ooh I just might have to put legion back into my mains list
7 -
I mean, that would make sense.
2 -
bestie youve known me for over a year and a half you should know by now that i need exact confirmation on exact details
9 -
yeah same :D
0 -
yes it will work regardless of the health state of that 5th survivor.
21 -
aight, thank you
3 -
It's 5 hits chained together in one instance of Frenzy (i.e. you have to go into Frenzy, hit all 4 survivors in a row, and then hit someone again, all before Frenzy runs out), so it's definitely not gonna be a common occurrence. Still cool, though.
3 -
It might not occur often but before coh it was satisfying to get all 4 people with a single Frenzy and this just makes it sweeter
0 -
idk stack both duration add-ons and now the basekit movement speed increase each time if you dont get, like, mother's dwelling it'll be pretty consistent actually. all it needs is one weak link for a 5 chain.
2 -
YAS
1 -
They are going to get weaker as the game progresses, as you kill someone, it's going to get harder to chain 5 hits because of fewer survivors.
0 -
Yeah, that's true. The speed boost will definitely help, and with addons...ok, maybe it will be even cooler than I thought. And you might be able to hit someone a second time if they mend right away...Ok, ok, I'm getting more excited about the possibilities.
1 -
Unlikely to hit a healthy with the 5th but possible. After hitting 3 the 1st could of finished mending and could be hit again. The 4th (healthy) survivor could be the 5th hit.
The meta would change to not mend until Legion leaves frenzy.
7 -
I don't know if the 5th hit means you can hit the 4th survivor a second time right after putting them into deep wounds, from my perspective it could mean either chain between 5 survivors with a different survivor each or chain between 4 survivors with a different survivor each time and double tap the 4th one
0 -
We also dont know yet if they're gonna introduce Movement Speed Addons. or an Addon that reduces the needed Amount by 1.
The possibilitys for fun are endless :D
1 -
True because if you mend yourself, may you will give another frenzy hit to Legion and they may will get free down with frenzy. Even survivor was not full health, it is more easy hit with frenzy and get down.
I liked Legion changes honestly. They deserved love. I excited to see all add-on changes.
0 -
im praying that they dont because if something reminds me of old legion im going to go feral and not in the good way.
5 -
That means, I will be able to multi stab someone again while in frenzy?*
I believe then I have to start playing dbd again. A little bit training before the real fun comes back!
Who had thought that? Something beautiful at the end of the day, if I have not misunderstood it^^.
Edit: Are somewhere patchnotes to see about that topic?
Edit²: Without getting a black screen, getting stunned, destroying the sun, or something similar bad happening?
1 -
Not really though because it gives the ability to get that first survivor out faster and once its a 3v1 it shouldn't be difficult to end a game, it's just about getting to the 3v1 in the first place to gain the pressure
1 -
So if a survivor dies or leaves the trial does that 5 hit rule change? Like do you chain 3 hits and the 4th one downs, or is it still 5 hits? I feel like that's gonna make this change vastly weaker once you kill someone if that's the case.
0 -
to be fair if you get a kill early on you're in a VERY good spot as killer, and if you get it later then chances are you've already gotten some value from it.
0 -
I mean a slight movement speed addon might not be bad for a purple. Even a 1% increase per survivor would make it 4% with all 4 hit (almost a additional 5%) and we all know how good noed is with just a 4% increase. I do agree lowering the amount for instadown is bad though.
0 -
Hijacking for a quick question. In the situation where a 6th+ strike is achieved, are they also downed?
1 -
I agree, it would just be a shame to not be able to fully utilize your kit because someone died. Maybe off the slim chance someone mends and you hit them again you could get it but otherwise you wont be using that function of your kit again in the trial.
1 -
The meta was just to split up against legion so I think chaining hits is still going to be rare
0 -
In all honesty, I'm not looking forward to these changes.
I have a very bad feeling that this 5th hit is a down business will either result in Legion getting nerfed again in the future or be so rare that it isn't relevant but prevents them from getting further buffs to things that would help far more.
Here's the thing... If/when Legion gets to where the next hit is the 5th... they'll be running at 6.0 m/s... the same as every Exhaustion perk except Dead Hard... will still be able to vault windows and pallets... and will be able to insta down a healthy Survivor. Being on the receiving end of that will suck. You legitimately can't counter it unless you already have a huge amount of distance on them.
If Legion getting to that 5th hit is even a bit consistent, how soon before Survivors start complaining that they were the person who wasn't even in the Frenzy chain who got wrecked by it? Not very. How soon after that until Behavior nerfs Legion for being "Oppressive"? Probably also not very. Unless the nerf is to remove that feature... Legion might end up worse than where they started.
If Legion getting to that 5th hit isn't consistent in the slightest, well... that will basically make buffing them further even more risky than it already is because of a mechanic that isn't actually useful. Which will probably leave them to continue to flounder in a spot where they desperately need a tune up that Behavior will probably never deliver.

This can't happen. As per the dev update, "Additionally, a fifth hit will end your frenzy and put the survivor into the dying state, adding a satisfying payoff for chaining together hits."
2 -
I assume that's basically the only scenario where this will come into play.
0 -
Normal Frenzy is 5.2m/s. With the boost it becomes 5.4m/s(1), 5.6m/s(2), 5.8m/s(3), and 6.0m/s(4). I'd say it could become difficult to run away after a couple hits.
Just as reference, Victor runs at 6.0m/s.
1 -
You'd be shocked what you can do as current Leg with 2 duration addons and not mother's dwelling as your map
3 -
What i mean is after the 4th hit why would you run to another survivor instead of downing the one in front of you? If you're that 4th survivor you're basically guaranteed to go down.
0 -
yeah i know and im ngl im not entirely thrilled about it but ig we'll see how that one goes.
but like if you couldnt down someone that was in deep wounds then you could track down survivor 1-2 if they mended, which would lead to a strat of not mending till after leg's cancelled frenzy, which would help game stall quite a bit bc survivors wouldnt be able to do gens for a sec.
0 -
I actually like that the 4th person is nearly guaranteed to go down.. It will make a charging Legion actually threatening. I don't think it'll be a big issue for teams that understand they need to split up. Basically Legion will be a noob stomper.
0 -
I didnt see that, nice
0 -
i hear anything about legion's power having the ability to down and get flashbacks to old legion.
i survived those dark times, and i already know exactly how it's gonna go down in solo queue. i can see it now and im really not excited for it but i dont wanna make any real judgements till i face it on live.
0 -
finally it shall be a smart idea to dead hard legion's frenzy lol
2 -
What I'm trying to say is people know not to group up against legion and split up to work on gens
1 -
Will the variable that triggers the instadown go from 5 to 4 after a survivor is dead?
0 -
It kind of made me wish that it went down by one with each survivor that dies, keeping their lethality while not making it busted.
0 -
Now I kinda need to know if the new hemorrhage will also rewind deep wounds mending progress. If it does it's quite big because people won't be able to 99 the mending and finish it as soon as Feral Frenzy ends in order to deny the 5th hit.
0 -
I have another question:
After the 4th hit, can i hit the same survivor with the 5th hit to down him or i need to hit a different survivor?

Confirmed by @MandyTalk earlier in the thread; the 5th attack will always down if it connects, regardless of health state
2 -
Once one survivor is out of the game, this because pointless. Unless, they lower the requirement for each survivor out of the match.

Legion changes are meh since you still lose your power and need to charge it if you m1 a survivor.
