Balancing the game at high ranks for killers

Hey everyone. As we all know, being a killer at high ranks is an absolute chore with SBMM. Now I do believe that SBMM did some good, as it allowed high skilled killers to not purposely downgrade themselves to go against lower and less skillfull survivors. However it has shown that once you reach a certain skill set on a killer, you are faced with sweaty survivors and usually swfs that make the game completely unplayable for killer.

Now I understand was 4k is not possible. Hell, all the survivors escaping is always possible and it can happen. However when it is happening repeatedly for multiple different people playing killer, I believe it shows that at high ranks the game is very survivor sided, so I have an idea to balance this out. What if at higher skill sets for survivors, the game changes at gets harder for them (Btw I'm a survivor main).

The reason I'm saying the changes only happen at high ranks and not all survivors ranks, is because for new survivors with low skill sets, the game is already challenging enough for them. However, for people with ALOT of skill, and as an swf, they can be almost impossible to beat.

What I suggest for them is this.

1. Slower Gen speeds. This is the first one I thought of, but I understand that sitting at a gen is super boring so maybe not this one.

OR

2. Random button skillchecks. This would make it so that it's not just the normal button and you have to get ready to click any possible button.

OR

3. Map traps. This I know may already piss alot of people off, but maybe at high ranks some maps have mud that slow you down, or very heavy fog, or ((blizzard on omens)). However this may anger too many people as well.

4. Different objectives in order to survive. I couldn't think of new ones, but maybe you guys could

Actually remove holding M1 they don't even have to do that anymore. Hit spacebar a few times*

While it might just be my experience, I believe that you can do well against a cracked 4 person SWF as the majority of killers (assuming you're bringing a loadout that roughly matches the strength of what the survivors brought). I play a ton of Nemesis and I can say that the majority of my losses have been solely due to my mistakes rather than the survivors having beat me by default. I can still win if I outplay the survivors and pressure them well. Personally, I believe that a lot of killers suffer from an inflated MMR caused by survivors that give up, don't know how to deal with tunneling or camping, deal with immense pressure from the killer, and haven't learned to play against popular killer perks like Dead Man's Switch, Ruin, Tinkerer, BBQ, NOED, and Discordance.

A lot of these killers will suddenly hit a wall where the survivors will know how to play around those perks and give you a really hard time. Suddenly, survivors will begin to harass Hag and Trapper traps, dodge Huntress hatchets, stop trying to heal against Legion 24/7, break line of sight between themselves and a Nurse or Slinger, keep eyes on Ghostface and Wraith, 99% gens to doge Reverse Bear Traps or to trigger Adrenaline at the perfect time, cleanse harder to access dull totems while leaving one known one up in order to quickly cleanse a NOED, etc.

I'm not the highest tier killer, but I think I've played some incredible matches where the performance was very good on both sides and I have won a good number of those matches. I think the game is generally balanced at high ranks, but there are a lot of killer players that get ranked much higher than they really ought to be due to being carried by their really good perks, NOED in particular.

Because if they don't get 4k the game is bad and they need to tunnel against those awful survivors that dare to try escape. Most killers do get kills, more often more kills than escapes, IDK why they are complaining about the game being survivor sided when they dont get 4k every single match (which would be killer sided)

I agree that a 2k and 2 escape would mean the game is more balanced even a few all escapes and a few 4ks too.

Because if there was a 0 percent chance of getting a 4k, even when the killer has made no mistakes and the survivors made a bunch, that's not balanced. Every killer should have a chance to 4k. Since killers shouldn't be getting 4ks for playing well, then you're saying they should get 3ks for playing well. That's moving the goal post of a "fair result" for killers. Why not move it to a 2k? Oh wait, people already ask for the game to be balanced around that. Why not a 1k? Why not a 0k? That's what "playing for fun" already gets killers. Killers are second class players. They don't deserve anything. Just entertain the survivors and be happy with the result.

The unfortunate reality is that you cannot. It would ruin the game at lower levels. Killer is already overpowered down there and survivor is the playerbase we need in far more abundance.

Killer doesn't need skill either. You just hold W until you're close enough to hit M1 and damage the survivor. Skillful play right?

Let's not forget what the other face of RPD is: completely useless pallets that might as well not be there that you don't even need to break ever, extremely narrow and empty hallways, and an absolute hell to navigate often leading to survivors on hook ending up to ph2 because of the awful lot of time it requires to get there.

The game is also balanced around bad killers, otherwise they wouldn't be releasing all these slowdown perks that you can stack together and that carry the worst players into getting undeserved kills by slowing the trial at an unreasonable level and let them pretend they're good at the game

    :)

Are you implying that RPD is killer sided, or neutral? This is a prime example of why they cannot balance the game at higher levels.

I'm implying it's disgustingly ######### for both sides and not a suitable map for a game like dbd
