COH Change is not good here's why.
Firstly Mclean had a really good idea in regards to how boons could work you kick a boon it blows up and reconstructs after 60 seconds the person who placed said boon had a cooldown of 60 seconds making the replacing the perk not as annoying because it is there's no reward for kicking a boon so why waste the time to do it. Boons should be OP or else they won't get used, but there has to be a fine balance and Mclean was right in that aspect.
Secondly, you aren't addressing what makes COH so insanely strong it's the fact it can stack with perks like Botany for stupidly fast healing speed your 50% is gonna do nothing if people stack botany with it you need to address why kicking boons are worthless, which Mclean understands now after rewatching scotts video, and you need to address healing speeds stacking once you address that the perk is fine.

I disagree. It's great.

I see. The crusade does not end until boons are deleted.
I think boons were fine for everything but COH. That’s why COH is being addressed and not the boon mechanic itself.

They also have to worry about selfcare too as now selfcare is better than COH if you don't have the totem pre-blessed if you use it for self healing, according to another thread CoH's new selfheal speed is ~21 seconds, now if the totem isn't set up and you want to bless a totem now you have to worry about if the totem you bless is a hex or not and how long it took you to even find the totem in the first place, for me to go further, it takes 14 seconds to bless a dull and 28 to bless a hex, meaning by the time you can actually selfheal with this perk you could get way beyond 50% on a gen, as it'll take ~35 and ~49 if you are right on top on a totem when doing it, but when looking for a totem thats a whole nother story, I haven't even brought up the "if this happens"" statement of if you actually face someone using thrill of the hunt. So now you either have to preset the totem and hope it isn't stomped out, which will probably only happen on indoor maps or you have to only have someone else heal you instead, and if you use self care in comparison you can just heal whenever and it only takes 32 seconds and depends on when you chose to heal, and it gives you a permanent efficiency boost on med kits without the need of being in an AoE
Personally I do agree with the fast healing speed problem and would love to see a cooldown to it, but I feel like CoH is just a poorly designed perk and all the boons should be looked at with it, as we have a few boons that are too situational to be good, and others are CoH

I personally don't think a mechanic where the killer has no real counterplay is healthy for the game and any good boon will just end up getting nerfed to uselessness because it's an infinite resource.
I would much rather see the totem get destroyed when snuffed but be stronger.

Hard agree. In the upcoming weeks, we will see complaints of “Survivors are using the same 4 perks again, the game is getting stale” and “Hemorrhage OP.”
Well see I guess.

"Boons should be OP"
The whole point of balancing a game is to make sure things are not OP, but rather balanced in power/drawbacks.
The drawback of the Circle of Healing boon is that it require set-up and only affect a, depending on map, medium to huge area. The positives are that it frees up 3 perk slots across the team that otherwise would have to be filled with Self Care for the team to have the same power and it makes regular heals and medkit heals faster. So with a CoH team mate you can bring 3 extra perks at the cost of having to run to certain part of the map to heal up on your own or 50% faster than normal together.

The nerf is really nice but yeah, you need to waste a perk slot or more if you want to make coh to what it once was.
I also agree that there should be some sort of penalty so you cant infinitely bless totems with no real downside.
The ideea Mclean had was pretty good and i'm all for it to hopefully make it in the game one day.
Something needs to be done about boons being able to be infinitely lit up.

It’s still better than self care by fifty percent. COH self care should now be 24s, up from 20s with the previous nerf.
Snuffing the totem means survivors have to spend time replacing the boon. It also removes DS and they have travel time too.

The fact that they did this first says more about COH then any other Boon
Also if it still isn't good enough (but I don't see that being an issue) then yea that change would make more sense

Like mentioned in the post, that happens when you have the perk already on a totem ready to use, however alot of killers stomp it out as soon as they see it, meaning its probably not gonna stay up long unless you are on an indoor map like RPD or midwich, without it blessed you might as well look for someone else to heal you, use selfcare, do a gen instead, or use a medkit, sadly its just a boon perk thing and no real way exists to change it and keep it properly balanced at the same time

There wouldn't be as much of a problem if killers kicking the boons destroyed the totem

Boons aren't the problem, CoH is. The nerf is perfect imo, the problem to me was never an infinite healing, it was the speed that could be reached with it so easily. 6 second heals shouldn't have been so easy to get
