Another change that Ghost Face needs.

I always hated his horrible reveal mechanics. We all do, in fact. However, one thing that makes it even worse is the fact that he can abuse his poor reveal mechanics to expose you despite you seeing him. Sometimes when you try to reveal him, he'll duck behind something or get behind a wall to reset the reveal timer. Then peak back out and stalk you again, repeating this until you are exposed.

It's not particularly "OP" however it is incredibly dumb, and not the way his power was intended to be used. The stalk is to expose people who don't see you, people whom you managed to sneak up on.

In my opinion, while you are revealing him, your own stalk progress should be paused, rendering it impossible to expose you while he is being revealed by you.

Some of you might claim that his stalk would become useless if this were done. Useless is an overstatement, perhaps it would become weaker. I wouldn't mind other buffs for his stalk to compensate for this, such as a longer reveal time, or even a shorter stalk time. He's already getting a longer exposed timer, which is something he needed in my opinion.

It is technically a nerf, however it's a nerf compensated by a buff, which motivates players to use his stalk the way it was originally intended to be used. The stalk simply shouldn't be a mid-chase tool.

As constructive tips, I would suggest running up to his face. He cannot Stalk at close-range and it gets easier to Reveal him. To be safe, only do this if you feel your Stalk meter isn't like 60% or higher.

Another is to drop objectives temporarily and work on Revealing him when he's looking at someone else, making it way easier to do since he is not looking at you. To be safe, only do this if you feel your Stalk meter isn't 99'ed and you can reach a safe Pallet or Vault in case he changes direction back to you. Sadly, you do need to hope that you have good teammates who will Reveal him when he's focused on you in return.

The best tip, however, is to focus on not giving him vision at all. There's always a certain side of the generator that is basically impossible for Ghostface to stalk. Also, when in a chase with Ghostface, remember that he basically stops moving to Stalk you. This means that you are not running for hold w distance like you would with 95% of other Killers. You are running to block his LOS, very similarly to like you are playing against a Nurse. Only if he is out of Night Shroud and waiting 24 seconds for it to come back do you do the usual stuff, hold w, looping mind games, etc. etc.

I would also suggest Stretch Res, as it Reveals Ghostface easier and even over Loops or walls that normally wouldn't be possible.

At High and Top MMR, your suggested change would make Ghostface the worst Killer in the game by unanimous consensus, and not just the worst Killer in the game by some as he is already, like Tru3Ta1ent and other big content creators.

I do support some Add-ons that would lock Ghostface into reaching a certain amount of Stalk and not being able to Stalk further after that (Ex., can only Stalk up to 1 person, who when Marked, resets everyone else's Stalk meter). In counterbalance, it would find something that encourages him to use the Add-on like faster Stalking or harder to Reveal.

HIs reveal mechanics need some fine-tuning on the technical side to not feel so inconsistent, but preventing him from marking players who are trying to reveal him is entirely unnecessary. Why do we need to prevent players from using his stalk in multiple different ways? You would need to buff him significantly to make up for that nerf. I don't see the point.

If ghostface is in a position to stalk you and he can keep going behind cover to prevent you from revealing him, then you shouldn't continue trying to break him out in the first place, you should be getting away from him/getting behind cover yourself.

Getting to cover yourself is not always an option. In fact it's rarely an option.

They get behind cover against me 90% of the time. But I think it takes some hours and hours of facing Ghostface to be playing like that. To think things like, "Okay, if I repair at this gen, there's no Pallets and no easy Line of Sight-blocking cover for me to get to quickly." "So screw that gen for now unless Ghostface injures/downs someone far away." "Okay, at this gen, I have a T-L Loop right here, some Rocks for cover nearby, and the Magic Bus Loop not too far." "If I keep my eyes scanning, I will be able to spot GF 24m away and know exactly which Cover to take if he's going for Stalks instead of hits."
