What's the reason for DbD not including pings and comms for solo survivor?
I asking for the reason why as a solo survivor you can't ping the killer location, or a gens, and at least an indicator that a survivor being chased.
Why is that?
Again I don't ask for these, but asking why solo survivor didn't get any tool since ages. What could be the reason?

Well actually they are working for some buffs solo-q. Just we don't know when or how. Just "soon".

Yeah increase the swf problem this game has by adding communication between solo and swf? Will it make solo gameplay better? of course. will it make playing killer against swf worse? of course...

Some semblance of a ping system isn't a bad idea, but comms haven't been added because it'd be a lot of work, it'd demolish the tone of the game, and it wouldn't even fix the problem being discussed.
They did propose an "action portrait" type deal where your portrait would have a little symbol next to it showing what you're doing, and I think that's a great idea. It'd help bridge the gap and give solo players the info they'd need to make smart decisions, without requiring active communication from potentially surly teammates.

If they do this they can finally balance the game properly since we won’t have wildly different strength between SWF and solo

But if we get solo closer to swf we can buff killer. Atm if we buff killer to compete with swf solos would be crushed

Yeah they "could" balance that and than buff killers afterwards, but will they do it properly and most important how many time will it take them to buff killers properly? Do you want to play with all benefits for solo and the status of swf until buffs are even?

They should have rolled that first before the PTB changes, The next update is going to have a heavy toll on the health of the game.

Didn't they say something about better HUD information in a dev update a bit back

When the game first launched, there was more emphasis on stealth and immersion (the survivor feeling alone and unaware). Plus, it saved the (smaller at the time) company from having to develop the tools to implement such systems. Now, with the spaghetti code, it's too late.

No of course not. The only right thing to do is work out a way to bring solo and swf closer and test it on PTB maybe beta feature for two weeks and if that done put it in a box and do the buffs and then ship it all together

As you said, Comms would be a bad idea.
But, whatever they add, if it is Comms, a Ping-System or the Pictures in the UI - it will not solve the problem of Solo-Queue. Because all of this only works if the other party actually wants to do something according to the information they get.
The biggest advantage of SWF is to filter out Potatoes. You know when you are being chased that others are doing Gens. When you get unhooked, you know if they have BT or not. This is all not present in Solo-Queue.
If I am being chased, I might have a Ping-System to tell my team to do Gens or the UI shows that I am being chased, I can even say on Comms that I am being chased - this does nothing if Meg wants to get her "Loot 20 Chests"-Challenge done, Claudette wants to heal in the Corner against Sloppy Butcher and Dwight is hiding in a Locker because he heard Terror Radius for 0,5 seconds.

Then they would have to balance in that direction and shackle down swf and killer.
But that's also not an option because "playing with friends shouldn't be punished".
So people have to accept that it will always remain a problem in any Team based pvp online games when some eggheads prefer to play uncooperative, be it lol, r6s, rocket league, overwatch or any other. You don't win a team game alone.
You can't balance for idiots. Especially when everyone has the option and the majority even uses it to play better.

"Especially when everyone has the option and the majority even uses it to play better."
I guess the majority uses it to play with friends... But yeah, every SWF is some tournament squad, we already know.

That is a concern, but there's only so much you can expect game balance to fix for bad play.
Better to just give the players the tools and then balance around the assumption they'll be using those tools. If they aren't, then it's on them.

Of course.
I just dont think it would help. Just yesterday I got blocked by a Tapp. Killer behind me, two ways out of the situation. Either I run backwards (aka into the Killer) or forwards (if Tapp moves his big butt).
The only thing comms would have changed would be that he would have heard me swearing at him. In fact, even the tools already available (because I pointed) were not enough.
So yeah, you can give Solos all tools of information, but I doubt it would fix that much.

Ah yes, put words in my mouth. I just said that everyone has the option to play intelligent, cooperative and learn how to play the game unlike the Claudette or meg or whatever in your example, aka "the option to play better" and not "play in a swf".
A group of 4 highly experienced solos can be indistinguishable from a normal 4 men swf on comms.
I thought you know that i don't have to hide my opinion that swf is just an easier way. I made that clear several times on the forums and don't hide behind innuendos.

They mentioned once that they are working on a "icon" system next to your survivor portrait. It will indicate what action you are doing like doing a gen, gate, chased or something. Nothing confirmed though.

So are you saying that 4 streamer without comms(on solo) would be able to achieve the same results like if they had comms?
I remember something like that and they had very bad performance without comms

This and plus they said "They wanna nerf face-camp without hurt proxy camp."
0 -
Because the game was never intended to have survivors chatting to each other. The game was designed around no communication.
The fact they will never add comms/chat in the game proves they know its a problem.

I don't talk about streamer necessarily as i know time played isnt necessarily equal to skill. (A good example is a friend that plays lol for 10 year and still plays her main character like a noob, for example individual full tank items on ADC)
Also aren't comms not the only difference but also being premade. As Aven has said, avoiding potatoes in the group.
Therefore my example is only really applicable with truly working matchmaking that puts 4 survivor of equal skill together.
And to your one example of 4 streamer having bad performance, how skilled were they individually? Did they goofe around or were they tryharding? How was the killer playing? That and more factors heavily into their "performance" and makes it hard to compare.
