Feedback about Circle of Healing and boons overall from the community

This is a thread to get the feedback and opinion of everyone about the Circle of Healing and boons overall.

Do you think Circle of Healing nerf is enough,does it need to be nerfed more or do boons as a whole need to be changed?

Do you think boons hurt the game more than it helped so far?

I really want to hear the raw opinion of everyone including which side they play accordingly:

1. Killer main / Survivor main

2. 50% Killer, 50% Survivor

3. 25% Killer, 75% Survivor

4. 75% Killer, 25% Survivor

    Boons are not the issue imo. The 3 other boons (Shadowstep, Dark theory and exponential) are balanced because they require the killer to be close by to get their effects. This means there is a risk/reward since the killer is always close enough to snuff them in maximum 15 seconds. COH throws this out the window by being more effective the farther the killer is away

    For example there’s no point in putting your exponential on the edge of the map but putting COH there is busted. COH goes against the balance philosophy of boons hence why it needs to be removed/reworked

    75% Killer, 25% Survivor


    For me CoH is good now. Survivors have to bless totem smarter or they will waste good time. Perk is not dead, so survivors can get value from it. Plus Sloppy Butcher will counter CoH and this is good thing. Perks and strategies should counter each other.


    So yeah, i liked. Ofcourse i need to see at live first for final opinion but it looks good now.

    The nerf to Circle of Healing seems promising, but I'd have to see it in action to be sure. It's not the nerf I wanted - CoH itself could use more tweaks but what I really want is a hard cap on how fast you can heal yourself - but there is definitely a number that would make the perk more balanced and I feel this really might be it. Someone else outlined the main problem above, and I agree; all the other boons require the killer to be nearby to function properly, and CoH breaks that, so I don't think the other boons are a problem at all.

    Boons have not hurt the game. In fact, I'd be so bold as to suggest boons have had a net positive impact insofar as organically pulling survivors off gens goes. Circle of Healing is the only problematic one.

    I used to be a Killer Fanatic !00% Killer and 0% Survivor

    Now its 50% Killer 50% Survivor

    It's already dead, It's practically deadweight now in SoloQ, The only players who can use it are SWF and even then its weighted heavily on the circumstances.

    I can already see people complaining about SWF and medkits again, I guess its time to nerf Built to last.

    I'll give mine as well.

    50% Killer, 50% Survivor

    Circle of Healing will still be used just as much because its still the best healing perk in the game.

    I cant say for sure if its enough until the PTB comes to see if killers that suffered the most because of it stand a chance now.

    As for the boons as a whole,I think the killer should be rewarded more for snuffing out a boon just like survivors are rewarded by destorying a hex by permanently removing it.

    Maybe make it so a survivor will have the time required to bless a totem increased everytime a killer snuffs out a boon by 2 seconds permanently up to 4 times.Meaning the blessing will take from 14 seconds,up to 22 seconds to bless.

    I think this is fair and rewards the killer for taking the time to snuff out a boon.

    And this will also make survivors be more carefull where they place the boons now as they dont want the killer snuff them out too easily.

    I very much agree with this,I think the biggest Circle of Healing advantage is that its good when the killer is not around,unlike the other boons.

    Increasing the time it takes to bless a boon by 2 seconds permanently everytime killer snuffs it out up to 4 times should make it more rewarding for killer when they actually take the time to get rid of them.

    Maybe they should also make it so for each dull totem cleansed,the time to bless a totem is decreased by 2 seconds,but the time it takes cant go under 14 seconds.
