How do you get to Iridescent In a week?

So I play DBD daily. First let me point out that I'm a working adult and don't make money off of twitching or just playing DBD. I'm not the greatest survivor, but not a noob either. I play in the early morning and sometimes late evening on the weekdays and morning on weekends. I don't like to play weekend nights due to ten to fifteen minute wait times for survivor matches.

That being said how do some players get to Iridescent four or higher in a week from the 13th? I strive to just get iridescent four before the 9th due to killers becoming even more toxic so they can level up before reset. I play the best I can, always use BT, try to keep the matches rounded out with gens totems etc. Although it always happens that I get camped, tunneled to pip loss.

Now don't give me the snark answer "Well I play a lot lol". So you play from sun up to sun down? Well some of us do need to work. Also don't give me the snark "get good". I do reach iridescent four but run out of time to get any higher.

So what is the secret? Are you all just playing cowered match after match? Do you hook hog every match? How do you avoid never de-piping? Are you constantly commed up with a swift? Is there a time if day where you get paired with killers that are not toxic and give you a chance to play?

Don't get me wrong, if I don't get iridescent it's not the end of the world but how is it possible to get a rank that high, that fast? It's already painful enough just to get to gold with the way the pip system is, so how are players manipulating the game to pip up that fast?

Survivor? Just play a lot in a team. Solo survivor? Just play a lot, period.

Killer? Just use mean builds and tunnel, it's really not hard

    Survivor, you don't.

Killer kinda hard to tunnel and get 2 pips. So you gotta go for 12 hooks.

If you are a survivor, then play as a team.

If you are a killer, then choose a strong killer, antigenrush build, fast -1, tunneling, slugging and camping according to the situation. And even then you have to sweat)

This situation could be partially corrected by removing the de-piping. Maybe the developers will come to this someday, someday...

Have no job work or school like some people and sit in a basement somewhere and play 12 hours a day everyday.

FYI did not read your entire post before replying.

I play roughly 5 hours a day and don't try and see "how fast can I win by doing gens/4king". I go for blood points and have fun and am normally iri 1 on both sides before the end of the month (not season). It's not that hard to get there, a lot of people just play sweaty which limits pips for themselves (not saying you do, just making a general statement) and the other side. The game likes drawn out matches where everyone gets to do everything, not ones that are done in 3 minutes because one side decided to speed run it.

As surv, play only in the mornings.

I think it’s they just play an absurd amount. I’ve checked profiles and some people play like 60hrs a week. Which is absolutely insane to me.

Well you gotta not just play but play to get those points. I'm kind of anxious so I spend that first week trying to get every early unhook, patching teammates, doing 2.5 gens of repairs, ect. Trying to max as many emblems I can (even if I should do something else at that time) because I want my mil in the bank fast so I can chill until the 13th.

In a week, the only way I can do that is if I play SWF. It's fairly trivial because we pip up every game. I can't do it solo, but I can do it in less than 2 weeks if I play for pips. More frustrating than difficult if I want to pip and can't because of the random BS.

As killer, I'm iri within a week, easy.

Remember, ranks are a gauge of how much you play. This has been stated by devs themselves. It seems like you can't do it within that time frame due to real life commitments, so you shouldn't get upset about the system because of your limitation. Unless they're hacking, nobody's manipulating anything-- they're just playing a lot. You'll have to deal with the reality that they have the time.

You spend your entire life playing this game and nothing else. Must be nice to have that much free time!

"5 hours a day" is probably the most important thing in that whole paragraph.

No idea about survivor. It is actually hard to rank up as survivor, in my opinion. Killer? You just farm emblems.

Survivors can get to Iri 1 fast with SWF, they win most games easily. Solo is a slog.

Killer is easy if your MMR is low, if it isn't you need to sweat like a greasy pig for every pip.

To those who say all I do is play this game in my free time, I do work a full time and part time job. Because of pain issues I don't sleep.

If you know what you're doing emblem wise to pip, it's pretty easy, you need at least 2.7 gen completion BY YOURSELF, you need 270 points in the lightbringer emblem and each point is 1% of a gen, if you do it with someone else you'll need double and so on.

You can check how many points are needed for each emblem and do a few things to get more points, like safe recues, get a couple of those, healing, taking protection hits, cleansing/booning totems, while trying to not go down at all and escape, the later is difficult, if you get downed (not hooked) you get a gold emblem by default, if you get hooked u keep getting lower emblems the more you are hooked. Win chases, etc.

You REALLY need to be mindful of what you're doing and that you're not wasting time, youre doing gens, you're helping teammates, you're running the killer and winning those chases, etc.

Cool, cool. I get caught in a safety rut alot. I wish that they would get rid of the de-pip and just let survivor / killer rank up by game play. That would prevent one survivor being a hook hog and farming teammates off hook. If a teammate is doing this use BT for he and sake.

For killer the fastest way to get there is to completely disregard the survivor rulebook and also bringing your strongest builds every game (and once you get to silver, you need to be averaging 3ks or better consistently). I can usually get to Iri 1 within 7-10 days and that's with me only playing a few hours a night (full time job, wife and baby so I don't have time to play all day every day).

Go in with the checklist to pip up. 2 gens, 2 totems, 2 rescues, 2 chases. Escapes are inferior to the list.

Pipping up so fast is not really smart though because then you've got to be a safety pip Andy for whatever time is left, which makes me wish once again that I can switch over to a casual vanilla DBD mode.

    It's really about score-per-minute.

You basically want to walk out of matches with as many Bloodpoitns as humanly possible.

Surviving isn't enough, you have to get survival, objective, altruism, and bravery.

That being said, it is a lot that you must do to accomplish such things in these constraints.

Which makes it very easy to tell who has a life (Like you and me) and who clearly doesn't. Logging in on the 20th to see IR1s, you know they've been grinding for the past 6 days nonstop.
