I played that game....shiiiiii, had to have been four years or so since I played it. My old man reflexes couldn't keep up with all the damn script kiddies who could build Avengers Tower in five seconds and I got sick of it.
Jumped back in when I saw that No Build Mode and have at least somewhat enjoyed it with friends

I always hated the building in Fortnite but I thought that was basically the game's identity so I never thought they'd remove it

To be fair, if I tried Civ, I would come crawling back to DBD. The more I think about it, the more I think he did a pretty good job so far of making DBD sound more appealing.

It's just it's own game mode right now (I know based on DBD we don't think of games being able to have more than one game mode but it is possible :P)
It does feel like a strange decision considering building is the one thing that differentiates Fortnite from any other Battle Royale game but it sounds like it was super popular with old farts like me who had played it previously but couldn't keep up with those pesky kids and their mangy dog when it came to being able to build stuff. I don't know if they'll keep it or not but as long as it's there, I'll probably play every once in a while for funsy.

I have found it fun when we play. I'd never play it by myself but if your buddies are looking for something fun to play, no build mode is a fun enough time. It's also neat coming back and seeing how different the map is and new weapons and items and whatnot

No I've just picked it up recently after watching AngryPug stream and learning about the new No Build mode. I did tried it once years ago and just didn't like it.
The entire building mechanics what I really hated. Watched a few streams and it's nothing but building fortified sky scrapers.

Play Alien: Isolation. Really good horror game, but has a pretty slow start. Once you get to the San Cristobal Medical Facility, the game truly starts

I have such a frustrating relationship with this game; I really want to play other games, and half the time I am playing DBD I am only partially even paying attention, but I still play every damned day.
I don't hate DBD, I just feel like a prisoner to it sometimes. Of course this is something that happens to me with online games, since I can't "complete" them, I'm not sure how to break it off. Which is obvs a me problem.
