Can someone explain to me why footsteps are still so quiet?
Like seriously? Is it too much asked for to at least be able to properly hear footsteps again in order to track survivors, especially now with scratchmarks being bugged? Any responses from the actual devs about this? I've been one of those that has defended this game and saying the game is actually quite in a good state balance wise right now, despite it's gen rush issue, the partially bad map design, the balance gap between swf and solo survivors, and the effectiveness of camping and tunneling. But I'm starting to get really frustrated with this game, doesn't feel like this game is improving at a pace as it could be if the devs were more dedicated. I get that solving the balance problem the things I listed above is challenging, but at least give killers the ability to track survivors with sound so they can't lose survivors as easily without even being juked.
And just for your information, it's not that I'm getting juked more. I do find the scratchmarks once looking around a bit more, but at that point they've already gained a lot of distance to me.
In one match I couldn't even hear survivors drop from a higher place on the Mount Ormont map.

That's weird, I am hearing my footsteps very loud after the patch. Maybe it's only on the killer's side.

I just know as killer people can stil just run right past me and Idon't hear it. Really frustrating. It's the least they could fix to make killer not as stressful.

As a survivor, footsteps are annoyingly loud, even when crouching. Let alone the grass/vegetation sounds when you step on them. It is loud, very.1

I don't know, sometimes i hear them sometimes i don't, I wish we had Volume sliders for different noises I'd have to blast my headphones to hear them sometimes over the music in game.

I feel as if the game is extremely loud at the moment for survivors. It kinda hurts my ears especially when I’m doing a generator or getting hooked.
I notice that walking in grass is really loud at the moment.
Devs should create different volume sliders as @Bongbingbing had mentioned it would be really amazing for both sides (and for personal likings)0 -

Maybe the devs understood as wrong and thought we want louder sound effects for survivors? I don't get it though. They were supposed to improve sound for killer so they can have a better chance at tracking a survivor and instead they increase the sound effect volume especially for survivors? I hope we don't have to wait another 1 and a half months untill they actually improve the sound for killer.

As a survivor I can definitely confirm, I can hear myself a lot louder. Killer hearing is probably bugged, or you are just not hearing it in the rush.

And they said they would improve the sound for killer. But there's barely any difference. You still can barely hear any footsteps, which is ridiculous considering the fact that scratchmarks are bugged too.
Really don't get how they seem to have increased the volume of the survivors footsteps for survivors a lot and for killers barely. Maybe it's all just a bug, and they'll fix it soon.0
