2nd Story Boons: What do you do?

Seriously? Unless you're nurse, it feels like there's nothing you can do about them.

Unless I chase someone up there I just leave them alone. It takes more time to get up there then down just for it to get re-blessed 5sec later lol. Waste of time at that point.

You just let the survivors keep benefiting from them. You're wasting your time trying to get those boons. It sucks, but what about killer doesn't?

If you're in a chase with a survivor the only ones they can benefit from are Shadow Step and Dark Theory which you won't see often. It's mostly circle of healing and if they can get a heal off in chase you've got bigger problems.

Boons are a pain against hit and run but if you just chase normally then boons don't exist.

Cool. The double upstairs totems on Ironworks and Eyrie of Crows just really hurt.

For some reason, if I get those maps, the survivors almost always have a boon. If its something like Shelter Woods, no boon.

Boon go down, Tent go up

Chasing normally usually is 1 gen per chase, if not 1 gen per health state.

    But if you insist.

I just leave them alone, killers already have too much time in their hands.

This is just one of the many design issues with Boons that should have been caught before release as this isn't a hard issue to find during theory-crafting the perk type let alone play-testing them.

Boons need a rework to make them both more fair and allow them to be stronger as a lot of the Boons are weak due to how unfair they'd be if they were stronger with the current Boon mechanics.

For example: If Boons could be permanently removed the devs could buff all weak Boons into being worth bringing as they'd actually would have an inherent downside to them.

As having a meaningful inherent downside to the mechanic allows for stronger effects without breaking the game like Circle of Healing has.

    You do nothing.

    It's a lose/lose scenario.

This is pretty much exactly what I've been saying. Their broken base mechanics limit how good the individual perks can be without being busted, so most of them are either broken (COH) or too niche to be worth using (exponential and DT to a lesser extent).

And the longer they wait to make changes to the base mechanics of boons the more work that will have to be done later buffing boon perks to make up for those changes.

I just leave them alone unless I stumble upon it while walking around. It takes a lot of time to look for the Boons, so no point in wasting time to find it. There's really not much you can do about it.

Generally, I ignore them unless a chase leads me there.

I had a problem on rpd the other day where I couldn't get a survivor to a hook because of boil over and the narrow doors (wich is probably a skill issue) but he ran into the same corner every time because the exponentiall upstairs made slugging impossible and because rpd is like a maze it would take ages to get there
