Where is the Artist?
I never get her while playing survivor. She is my main on killer and I would love to go against her just to see what's it's like. But I think I have only ever versed her like twice. I know some people think she is boring, she actually very very strong but I never get to see on the other side. Little sad to me.

Strong =/= fun
Her kit is a carbon copy of killers that came before her. She brings nothing new to the table and requires a lot of effort put into her to get her kit to properly click. The only things she can do that others can't - long range snipes - are massively ineffective in practice. You're better off playing Nemesis, Pyramid Head, Slinger, hell even Huntress. And people have realised this.

I have been switching up what killers I play and tried her a couple matches she’s pretty fun honestly. But I’ve been having a lot of fun on Onryo even if I get stomped. Artist will be my next player killer after though.

To hard to learn, you can play others who are very easy to learn and can perform almost as well

I mean sure. Same basic kit but I rather enjoy her. I dint think she is as boring as most make her out to think. She takes quite a bit of predicting and thinking. To me is more fun to have the challenge of it. Its not just "play run here and smack". You throw dire out, hit them, then predict where they are running around a building or loop and hit them again. So satisfying IMO to get a down when you predicted where they will run again.

Sure, she has a hidden skill cap but to me that's why she is so satisfying. Not just easy to pick up and be good with.

Opposite for me, cannot stand playing her. Shift w is boring but also the best strategy against her, and playing her all I can think of is how much I'd rather be playing Pyramid Head.

Yes W-keying away works but it is also something you can abuse for the survivor. I expect them to do so, which is why I will put out a dire towards the next loop. She isn't as basic as most would think.

Short range anti-loop with her birds is boring but the only realistic strong part of them.
Long range sniping is fun but not good enough to be realistically viable.
They should've focused more on her as a long range snipe killer instead of the anti-loop with the birds stuff.

When I play killers, I usualy play her quite offten but the problem is... There are 27 killers total and even tho I don't play all of them usualy, it still takes many games on avarage to play 1 Artist.
There is just a low chance you gona get her since she is not that popular like Blight, Nurse, Huntess, Bubba, etc. but also there are many many killers to choose from.

Her ability is strong, but easily countered by just simply running forward and whenever I play her it reminds me of how I feel when I play hag. Hag and artist they just make me feel so bored.
I like killers that change things, but its like trapper and trickster combined into a strange combination lol, but she isn't very good at either range attacks or trapping loops as just sprinting is easy to do and dodging her crows isn't really that hard unless you have no awareness, because you can see the crows as they are being placed like I only ever got caught by the crows when I was stuck in an animation.
(Also for people who play against artist when you go against a sniping artist just jump in a locker it instantly makes crows go away barely anyone knows about this, because artist is not played often anymore, but it completely counters the long range part and can be done in chase if you time it right.)

Honestly playing her (or against her) gave me bad fps drops so I barely played her, it's probably been fixed a long time ago but I don't care enough to find out lol. Didn't have enough fun playing her to learn how to play her properly, still don't have her adept either..

People just don't want to learn. It was the Artist who became my main when I started playing in DBD. It is difficult to master, and when you understand how to play it, it becomes obvious that other ranged killers are not so effective. She's not very good at chasing, but no one is capable of putting that much pressure on the gens. And it's really cool when you get knockouts from the other end of the map. And even the chases sometimes end extremely quickly if you anticipate the survivor and take your time with the crows.

Oh she definitely is strong, iv had some insane games cross mapping with all my shots on point.
But shes not all that fun, she can be for the odd game maybe but shes not that interesting to play. Sometimes I feel like a bot when I cant crossmap

She's my go to killer, then again i love the crow theme, visuals and overall play style. Most seem to forget that she's not all about cross map snipes, her kit can be divided into map wide information, harassment, loop denial and potential 1v4 which not a lot of killer's can do. Sure you can hold W against her as the best tactic, but every killer faces that anyway these days with pre drops and people who camp pallets, rinse and repeat.

If the survivor just do it shift +w, then the artist needs a lot of thinking and a little luck. She finishes the chases in 10 seconds only against idiots who fixate on the first pallet loop

This is true of every anti loop killer except Blight, Billy, Nurse, Spirit, and all of those killers have powers not exclusive to anti-loop. Artist still has a better chase than Billy and out of all anti-loop no-mobility killers has perhaps the 2nd best anti-loop

I think just don't use her crows right ig. The amount of insane pressure you can put on gens especially at 3 gens left, is mind boggling. Just for the information alone and getting them off the gens for a sec or take a hit.

I agree with you. But the fact is that she has a high cost of fault . If you get a little hung up and make a mistake with the crows, then it's a big waste of time.

But even then, she's still a 115% killer. Good Artist players will know when to just follow at 115 and when to place crows.
Shift W is really boring tho I wish that I wasn't forced to resort to it as survivor + wish I had a way to deal with it as killer consistently without playing characters that give me chronic motion sickness 🕳️👩🏻🦯

Well, in general, I am very pleased with the Artist and I hope he will not be nerfed. She is a very interesting killer and is able to often turn games even if you only give a couple of hooks and you have two gens left. She also great in terms of sound effects and animation.

I don't think anyone has mentioned yet that her vertical gaming is literally non-existent, if you get a multi-level map you can't contest the generators beneath you with your power as you have to be on the same floor and with survivor sided maps like Coal Tower, Badham (when the generators are underground/above you in floor).
I don't think the devs are ever going to allow her to fire her crows up or down.

I don't want her to be nerfed, I just don't think she's very well designed. A lot of players dislike the sound effects, think the prestige looks whack, dislike how her skins were (are) Prime exclusive, and just find her gameplay too similar to other killers except needing much more investment for similar results.
But she's one of 27 killers, and it's inevitable that at least one (if not more) will appeal only to a niche audience. Provided the people that play her like doing so, and she isn't horrifically overpowered (which she isn't) then I think she's fine.

she's my favorite killer to use, maybe 2nd only to ghostface. tbh i stopped playing her for a while because games got too easy and i just wanted to meme around with ghostface. i love playing her personally, but i seem to be in the minority like you. since most of the community hates playing as her, you're not likely to see her. it happens with the less favorite killers. i havent seen a twins killer in almost 3 months, then randomly saw 3 within an hour last week.

Well your comment made it seem like you were saying I said she was OP and you're then saying that Blight is much more so than Artist. Other interpretations would involve you bringing in something completely unrelated to the topic at hand, hence why I didn't go by them.

She's very unfun because players figured out how to counter her in a week or so.
By the way, the counter is 'Hold W'.
Go into a gym or a loop - begin the loop until you see her place down crows.
Lose sight of the killer
Run to the next loop.
Rinse repeat.
She's strong, but this isn't FUN.
In all reality, very few killers are FUN in this meta. They really need to take another look at where the game is and where they want it to be if they want C list killers like Artist to have any screen time.

the artist is just unfun to play against, so I am glad no one likes her. at least with nemesis, slinger, or p-head you can dodge. artist just throws 3 crows on every loop and hits you when you are inevitably forced to leave or die

She's A tier for chases and power. Totally. You are not wrong. You are totally correct.
Professionals have praised her for her strengths, and they are right to do so.
She's C list in the sense that she does not seem to be attractive. Not only did she not sell very well, but there's a reason it is uncommon to play against her.
While a lot of people say 'Yes she's very strong!' you don't see a lot of those same people playing a lot of her afterwards. She is simply not that compelling.
On the 'fun to play' scale, she's probably a C by the looks of it. I don't even like to get challenges for her - not because they're hard, I'd just rather be playing a different killer, and it looks like a lot of people feel the same way.

Funny that I saw this post first because my one of my two survivor matches I played today was against an Artist. She got a 4k but honestly we kinda threw the match hard after 2 gens popped.
