MMR was prematurely released. Map design is imbalanced.

Title pretty much says it all. I would augur 2/3rds of the maps in the game are balanced around the philosophy that even mediocre survivors can have enough resources to get a 2-man escape against a seasoned killer. With this philosophy in mind, when you get 3 or even 4 survivors who make very few -- if any mistakes -- survivors receive an abundance of resources in very large maps.

Red Forest, Crotus Penn Asylum, Coldwind, Ormond, Gideon Meat Factory, Springwood, Eyrie of Crows, Groaning Storehouse, and Ironworks of Misery could all use a nerf. There is seemingly no ratiocination behind tile spawns or tile strengths. Getting 2 TL walls touching creates an absurdly strong tile-stack. Long-wall pallet tiles are easily the strongest generic tile in the game, however there is no limit to how many of these you can get in one game.

Maps are in a horrible, horrible spot and it's the place that the game's health suffers the most. The biggest improvements to the game would come from nerfing some of the overpowered RNG and reworking generic tiles.

You can be playing the exact same killer with the exact same build, and automatically know how you're probably going to do on maps as soon as you load in, barring any excessive survivor shennanigry. Feels more like its the Killer fighting the map half the time.

You could argue that. I argue that the devs don't know how to handle an MMR system on top of everything else that demands their attention. But maps for sure are super bad.

That's why I consider all maps survivor sided. You can't show me any one map that has inadequate resources for survivors to use. They all have enough for 1 survivor to run a killer for 5 gens, and then some. You might get super unlucky RNG now and then, like 3 TLs spawning instead of 3 jungle gyms, but that's something that needs to change as well, the crazy amount of variation there is in maps. They shouldn't be the same every time, but they're just too much depending on the RNG.

I wouldn't go as far as to say "they're all survivor sided", but if there were pre allocated tiles to spawn within the random spawns (aka coal tower gets 2 LT, 2 short walls, 1 Jungle gym, etc), it would make steps towards it being still random but somewhat predictable and less feast or famine.
