This video doesn't really prove anything. Where did he get those numbers from? I would treat this like wikipedia. It's probably not true or exaggerated.

Survivor queues are fast for me except late nights.

So maybe 1 million people are queued up and 100 of them survivors and the rest killers.

I guess these stats may be from the bight side but i also thought that console players would be the majority. But even if a bit optimistic i completely believe that a lot of people play.

They should do more tournaments like this AT&T thing.

This is why I caution against taking "in queue" numbers as the gospel. Sure, there may very well be 3000 survivors in queue and 13 killers in queue. That could also mean 3000 killers are in a match and not in queue.

We don't even have any indication that less killers playing. Longer survivor wait times could mean that the same ratio of players are participating at higher numbers. But that wouldn't mean less killer participation overall.

Is this video correct? Who knows. But there are a lot of players on twitch/twitter who can't interpret statistics.

Epic game's numbers are kinda meaningless with known mass created hacker bot accounts; Let alone this needs a source to be valid.

So...You're just spreading heavily misleading information that has a high chance of being outright false.

Ok so this guy goes to random internet site that gives some numbers without providing any sources for where they came from and you’re using this as proof that the game isn’t dying? 🤦‍♂️

The only publicly available reliable data are from Steamcharts. Yes, it would be fantastic if we could get player count data from other platforms, but we can’t, so Steamcharts is all we can rely on. If you’re going to draw the conclusion that somehow the player count trends for other platforms are going up rather than down, then please share the data that are causing you to reach that conclusion (and no not from some YouTube guy who pulled the numbers off of a random website).

Edit: by the way, the Steam player count for the weekend peak is down about 7,000 players from last weekend to this weekend, a drop of about 15%. That is alarming for a single week drop. But if you want to keep believing that the game is fine, go right ahead.

Despite its faults, I still enjoy the game and want it to succeed. I just wish the devs would act with a bit more urgency on making changes that large sections of the community have been asking for. Although there could be many factors for players leaving the game, BHVR’s response to feedback (very slow, ignoring common complaints, etc) is certainly not helping

I don’t know if the game is dying or not but one thing for certain is their is no way their is 2 million people playing this game daily that’s for sure. Cmon who actually believes this game has more active players playing than Overwatch, CS: GO, Dota 2, Lost Ark, Apex, Elden Ring, Rust, PUBG, GTA V and almost as many as Fortnite. I like DbD but these stats you posted are clearly made up.
