Twins

Perks

Hoarder: Hoarder triggers a Loud Noise Notification for 4 seconds, whenever a Survivor performs any of the following actions within 36/52/68 metres of your location:

  • Unlocks a Chest 
  • Picks up any Item
  • Picks up Limited Items.

Hoarder spawns 2 additional chests in the Trial.

One of two the effects will also Trigger.

  • Picking up an item will give the Exposed Status effect depending on how many charges are left on the item. [Ex: 16 Charges = 16 seconds]

If the item is single-use or has no charges. The survivor instead will have their aura revealed for 4/6/8 seconds.

Oppression 


When damaging a Generator, all other Generators also begin regressing. If a generator is being worked on during this action the survivor is given a difficult skill check.

 

Cooldown is 80/70/60 seconds


Coup De Grâce


Each time a Generator is completed, Coup de Grâce grows in power and gains 1 Token. Each token increases the lunge range by 12/14/16%


Max: 60/70/80%


SPECIAL ABILITY: Blood Bond 


While in control of Charlotte, press and hold the Power button to unleash Victor.

  • Pressing the Ability button allows you to swap control back and forth between Charlotte and Victor.
  • Dormant State: While controlling Victor, Charlotte falls into a Dormant State. 
  • In the Dormant State, Charlotte's Terror Radius and Red Stain are hidden. In the Dormant State, Charlotte temporarily retains collision, blocking a Survivor's path.


Special Power: Blood Call


While in a certain range Charlotte can call Victor to pull a survivor towards her or a hook. 

  • Press activate Secondary Ability to change to either Pull to Charlotte or again to a hook.
  • Press Activate Third Ability to make Victor start or stop pulling the survivor.


Victor


Victor can scour the environment at great speed in search of Survivors.

  • Victor cannot see Scratch Marks
  • Victor can see Pools of Blood left by injured Survivors in bright red.
  • Victor can search Lockers for Survivors.
  • If he finds one, control automatically reverts to Charlotte while he holds the Locker doors shut, trapping the Survivor for up to 10 seconds while they struggle against it.
  • While controlling Charlotte, Victor will trigger Killer Instinct on any walking or running Survivors within his Shriek range, revealing their outlines to Charlotte.
  • When Victor is idle, Survivors can perform the Crush action on him, crushing him in the process and forcing him to re-grow on Charlotte's after 6 seconds.
  • Victor will automatically dissolve and re-grow on Charlotte after 75 seconds.
  • Charlotte can voluntarily recall Victor after 15 seconds 


SPECIAL ATTACK: Pounce 

 

While controlling Victor, press and hold the Ability button to charge a Pounce and press the Attack button to unleash it.


Pouncing at a Survivor will damage them.

  • If the Survivor was at full health, Victor will latch onto them; control will swap back to Charlotte.
  • (New) If the Survivor was already in the Injured State  , they will be put into the Dying State and controls will be swapped over to Charlotte. The survivor will then receive the additional Containedstatus effect.
  • (New) Victor can also latch on to survivors already in the dying state by pressing Activate Secondary Ability near a downed Survivor.


(New) Contained Status Effect

  • Survivors in the Dying State with the Contained status effect will not lose health, but can also not recover. They must remove Victor (15 seconds) or another survivor must assist them (8 seconds).
  • If a Pounce lands him on top of an obstacle taller than himself, Victor will automatically dissolve and re-grow on Charlotte.


Latched-on:


When latched onto a Survivor, they suffer from various afflictions:

Status Effects.

The afflicted Survivor can remove and crush Victor by performing the Remove action for 8 seconds.


Power Trivia

Movement Speeds:

  • Walking with a fully charged Pounce: 2.4 m/s
  • Walking as Charlotte: 4.6 m/s
  • Walking as Victor: 6.0 m/s
  • (New) Victor Dragging Speed: 2.7 m/s


Blood Bond:

  • Killer Instinct Linger duration: 1.5 seconds
  • Killer Instinct only triggers on Survivors who walk or run within Victor's Shriek range. It does not trigger on Survivors who crouch towards him, allowing them to sneak up on him.
  • Switching from Charlotte to Victor: 0.25 seconds
  • (New Buff) Switching from Victor to Charlotte: 1.15 seconds
  • Victor glows white whenever he is idle and Charlotte in control.
  • Survivors can force Victor to regrow at any time by stunning Charlotte in her Dormant State.
  • Victor and Charlotte see their respective Aura at all times.


Charlotte:

  • Dormant State Linger duration: 4 seconds
  • This refers to effects such as a suppressed Stain and Terror Radius.
  • (Removed) Dormant State Collision Deactivation timer: 30 seconds
  • This refers to how long Charlotte has to be in her Dormant State before she loses collision with Survivors.


Victor Stats:

  • Regrow duration: 6 seconds
  • Victor regrows at a rate of 1 c/s, meaning the Power gauge has a capacity of 6 Charges.
  • (Changed) Idle timer: 75 seconds
  • This refers to how long Victor can remain idle while controlling Charlotte before he will automatically dissolve and start to regrow.
  • (Buff) Recall timer: 15 seconds
  • This refers to how long Victor has to be attached to a Survivor before Charlotte can recall him at will.
  • Release time: 1 second
  • It takes 3 seconds for Victor to inspect a Locker.
  • It takes 2 seconds for Victor to inspect a Locker that is occupied by a Survivor.
  • Exit Gate Escape Blocker Linger duration: 5 seconds
  • This refers to how long a Survivor continues to be unable to leave through the Exit Gate after removing Victor.


Pounce:

  • Cancelation Cool-down: 0.25 seconds
  • Charge time: 1 second
  • It takes Victor 0.75 seconds of charging to reach his full Charged Movement speed of 2.4 m/s.
  • (Buff) Aura-Reveal duration: 9 seconds
  • This refers to how long Victor's Aura is revealed to Charlotte when latching onto a Survivor.
  • Pounce Attack cool-downs:
  • 1 second for a successful Pounce with latching on
  • (Removed) 5 seconds for a successful Pounce without latching on
  • 3 seconds for a missed or obstructed Pounce


Remove/Crush:

  • Remove: 8 seconds
  • (New) Kickoff: 15 seconds
  • (New) Kickoff (Assisted): 8 seconds
  • Pushing: 10 seconds
  • This refers to pushing Victor off of a Locker.
  • Crushing: 0.35 seconds.


Restrictions:

  • It is impossible to voluntarily switch between the Killers or for Charlotte to release Victor when either of them is standing within a specific radius of the following Props.
  • within 4 metres of an Exit Gate 
  • within 4 metres of the Hatch 
  • within 24 metres of a Hook.


Addons


  • Toy Sword (Brown): Decreases charge time by .25 seconds
  • (Reworked) Tiny Finger Nail (Brown): Increases movement speed by .3 seconds when pounce is fully charged
  • (Reworked) Soured Milk (Brown): Increases Victor’s Shriek Radius by 6 meters.
  • (Reworked) Cat Figurine (Brown): Shortens the arc of Victor’s pounce by 15%.
  • Get a bonus of 400 blood points for each successful Pounce
  • (Reworked) Madeline’s Glove (Yellow): Increases the Arc that Victor Pounces by 15%.
  • (Reworked) Ceremonial Candelabrum (Yellow): Increases the distance Victor Pounces by 10%
  • (Reworked) Bloody Black Hood (Yellow): Increases the rate that Victor drags a survivor by .5 m/s
  • (Buff) Baby Teeth (Yellow): Survivors that have Victor attached to them have the Blindness status effect and 45 seconds after removal.
  • (Reworked) Stale Biscuit (Yellow): Survivors that have Victor attached to them have the Mangled status effect and 45 seconds after removal.
  • (Reworked) Cat’s Eye (Green): Victor no longer gives shrieks when controlled or idle until a successful pounce or starting to charge the pounce ability.
  • Increase the amount of time it takes to charge Pounce by .25 seconds
  • (Buff) Weighty Rattle (Green): Survivors that have Victor attached to them have the Broken status effect and 30 seconds after removal.
  • (Reworked) Sewer Sludge (Green): Survivors that have Victor attached to them have the Hindered status effect (10%) and 15 seconds after removal.
  • Rusted Needle (Green): Survivors removing Victor suffer from the Haemorrhage Status Effect until healed.
  • Madeline’s Scarf (Green) : Increases Victor's Movement speed by 0.3 m/s.
  • (Buff) Victor’s Soldier (Purple): If a Survivor crushes Victor while he's idle, their Aura is revealed for to Charlotte for 20 seconds.
  • (Rework) Spinning Top: Increase Victor’s Pulling speed by 1 m/s.
  • Increases the amount of time to remove Victor by 3 seconds.
  • Forest Stew: Increase’s Victor’s movement speed by .6 m/s
  • (Buff) Drop of Perfume (Purple): When controlling Charlotte, Survivors within Victor's Shriek radius suffer from the Oblivious Status Effect.

•  For the first 8 seconds after a successful pounce survivors in the shriek radius have their auras revealed. (Excluding the Survivor Victor is attached to.)

  • (Buff) Silencing Cloth: After waking from her Dormant State, Charlotte is granted the Undetectable  Status Effect for 20 seconds.
  • If she wakes after a successful Pounce. She keeps the Undetectable Status Effect for 40 seconds or until a basic attack.
  • (Buff) Iridescent Pendant: If a Survivor crushes Victorwhile he's idle or Contained on a Dying survivor, they suffer from the Exposed Status Effect for 45 seconds.

I wanted to reduce the amount of slugging Twins has to do while also giving them some more power. I just thought it would be a cool idea. Opinions?

    Hoarder: Wow, that's a bit too much, actually. Wasn't expecting that. It's also a major tell if you have Hoarder, and almost only synergizes with Franklins. And two item drop add-ons. And still won't give you that much value, because people don't loot in front of the killer. Or pick up items while already injured if they had dropped them from franklins. Or don't pick them up. Until you're not around. Suggestion, make it map wide. And give the Killer undetectable when someone picks up an item for 8/12/16 seconds?

    Oppression: This is indeed one way to take the perk. Admittedly, somehow balanced?

    Cou De Grace (I don't like the french): Reduce that to 30/35/40% bonus lunge increase if that's a permanent buff. But definitely interesting.

    Base Kit Power (I'll address Add-ons after we hash Base Kit Issues): Blood Tracking still encourages the slugging to an extent, since it rewards him for going after injured survivors. You have to then swap again if you want to do any form of snowballing due to the auto switch. I get the idea of him dragging them, and think it's pretty clever, but you list it that they can remove him in 15 seconds. If you hoof it directly, you get him to drag towards you 40.5 meters, and can get the 109.5 meter away survivor in 15 seconds. If the AI didn't run into a wall. Killer also only has 2 power buttons. So I'm a little confused by the "third ability button". The 6 second respawn time still makes it so kicking Victor isn't too much of a hindrance, and isn't really a punishment, since the gremlin can instantly follow up faster than a person can heal another. And does he still have the shriek radius detection while dragging? Seems mostly solid other than these gripes/concerns.

    Ok so I know this sounds like a completely insane conspiracy theory, but I think the developers are actively embarrassed/have writer's remorse over the Twins' characters. Maybe it's because of the disaster that their chapter release was, or they just hate the characters but they do show clear bias sometimes towards characters like The Spirit (Half of the 5th anniversary loading screen quotes were the developers verbally fellating the character of The Spirit), and due to this hatred of them they have completely buried them by repeatedly nerfing them for no reason and giving them 0 cosmetics in hopes people would just forget about them, I would put money on their upcoming tome completely butchering their characters to ward off any fans of them Lore Guy probably built up.

    So too much on Hoarder got it. I agree with your opinion on that. Oppression nailed. Also, I'm fine with that change in Coup De Grâce. But I think I worded it bad when I typed in the power. (Or maybe I'm misunderstanding period.) But I basically want Victor to latch on to a survivor no matter what. The only time there will be a slug or snowball potential will be if you're Charlotte downing a survivor and then you see another survivor in the distance or nearby. But if I'm understanding it correctly. You're saying decrease the time it takes to remove Victor while downed and the Increase the amount of time it takes Victor to grow back?

    (Also PS it feels good to nerd out should do this more often.)

    So Victor has no slugging or snowball factor. Got it. Then I guess that 6 second respawn time technically works. Yes, increase the time it takes to shake them off, if not make it so the slug can't shake them off. Make it so he can only be kicked off by someone else and faster than the 8, but allow them to recover, since Victor still detects others around him.

    This is a much weaker Twins than the current counterpart, but your design has merits as an interesting rework.

    Opinion about the addon changes? Also I think literally the best way for Twins to have a more fun and slightly more interactive playstyle is to give something to Charlotte. That's the most simple thing I can think of.

    What did you give her? Other than having Victor being able to drag back his kills? Cause I don't remember reading that this gave her anything.

    Add-ons of Concern:

    Cat Figuring: Why is this a straight nerf? Give it something in return. Also, what do you mean by the +/-15% arc vs +/- distance?

    Baby Teeth/Weighty Rattle/Rusted Needle: Kidnapping victor still prevents application of status effect. It's why they're not good. And this doesn't fix that. Unless I'm reading it wrong.

    Stale Biscuit: Mangled should stay till Fully healed, not 45 seconds.

    Cat's Eye: I don't think I understand this. Or it's use. So, you traded a cool stealth attack add-on for one that makes your attack worse and very hard/unusable around trees?

    Victor's Soldier: Too long on aura reveal.

    Drop of Perfume: Aura reveal seems unnecessary.

    Silencing Cloth: Also, a bit too long, since a quick toggle refreshes that 20 second timer. And the 40 is basically half a gen.

    Iridescent Pendant: Technically balanced. But also is boring.
