Killer gameplay: Low or Ultra graphics?

I've always played dbd on low settings, not because bad performance or anything but because that's how I've always played and what I was used to. However when I tried playing killer on Ultra settings I felt like I couldn't distingush a survivor if it wasn't in front of me. So, I switch to ultra only when playing survivor, and back to low with killer.
That made me wonder if there are killer players who play on ultra and feel this way, or maybe console players (im not sure if you even have graphic settings in console)

Im on PS5 and it’s always on ultra, I’m used to it and I don’t have any problems seeing stuff

Ultra is a disadvantage because the visibility is lower. It’s a shame consoles don’t have some graphics options.

low as killer and survivor, always
more visibility

Low. Lets me see scratch marks, where ultra settings obscures them.

I play on Medium apparently. I sat it to low years ago and it must have reset at some point.
Eh. It's fine the way it is.

On PS4 there are no options so the default is ground clutter everywhere making it hard to see, some maps are too dark to see anything and there are no brightness options (I’m not messing with my TV so every other game looks too bright), 10-20 fluctuating FPS, and intermittent freezing whenever an action or power is used by anyone anywhere on the map.

Console is a mix of high and medium actually. No console runs on ultra

If you have the option and only care about gameplay, low is the clear winner. I play on low settings with the brightness up a bit on my main monitor. Game is too dark by default. Takes away from the gameplay.

I always play on Ultra. However also turn up my brightness just slightly because some of the maps have areas that are honestly too dark in my opinion. Gloomy atmosphere is great, not being able to see walls or the survivor in front of me isn’t.
