Bond is the worst solo perk in the game

Title says it all. Why is that? Because it gives you too much information. You might think that is a good thing.

But in a lot of games, you see one guy in a chase, one on a gen, one hidding behind something (preferable far away from the killer, yet hidding, or coming in and out of lockers) and one guy just running around, doing next to nothing, but sometimes self caring when 2 guys are on the hook and you have let the killer somewhere else.

When i dc or give up, it is seldom about game circumstances (like the killer camping or tunneling, or bad luck or anything) but about my teammates, when you realize this match is a waste of time. Bond only shows you how often it really is.

The last time I encountered Bond in solo queue was on a Meg in DbD Mobile. Her and I were the only two survivors remaining. She brought a key, and the killer to me on purpose. So yeah this perk can often cause more harm than good; nonetheless, it is a great perk when used as intended.

You're blaming Bond for showing you that your team mates are bad. Hilarious.

Ignorance is bliss for you I assume.

I love Bond for reasons like that and more. If I have awful team mates who are doing nothing then I know the match is going nowhere and there's no point busting my butt to try and do gens when my team are doing nothing.

Not to mention the other value it brings like if I am being chased I won't accidentally sandbag someone on a gen or healing. I can find other team mates who need healing. You can body block for someone who is death hook and being chased etc.

Bond is awesome. It never leaves my build.

It sounds like the problem is bad survivors, not the perk itself.

The only time I use it is sometimes in my swf. Now that sounds redundant at first. Why run bond when you can talk to everyone? Well the reason is one of us is a pretty good looper. He doesn't do it on purpose but often he leads killers on chases long enough that they give up and switch targets. Sometimes we equip bond just to see if our teammate is leading the killer in our direction and we need to get out of there lol.

Tbh bond should show your aura to any survivor within range too

I mean, it's not much of a bond if its one sided

Bond is one of the best solo queue perks in the game and when combined with prove thyself, can outright win you the game regardless of bad teammates.

I run Bond in my everyday build, I love it. As I like information. However, I believe you are right, in contributes to my deteriorating opinion of this game and teammates.

It also can show you the work of amazing teammates when you get those as well. So there is that, helps you avoid a teammate running the killer to your genny or allows you to take protection hits if they happen to be on death hook.

I have definitely noticed in matches that a fair number of survivors that use Bond use it to lead the killer to other survivors to sandbag their teammates and save their own skins.

    Personally I much prefer Kindred.

If you’re decent in chase and get lumped with bad teammates often, try running this build:

Bond, Kindred, Open Handed, Prove Thyself.

Kindred combined with Open Handed means people seldom get left to die on hook because your team can see the killer for miles.

Bond combined with Open Handed shows you where your teammates are and what they’re doing over a considerable distance, allowing you to compensate for any bad plays by making efficient ones yourself

Prove thyself, with Bond + Open Handed, allows you to chunk through gens comically fast.

The only downside if you have no DS, so you need to be decent in chase and play it safe.

Bond ends up being so frustrating by the simple fact it makes you aware when people are wasting time or being useless in a match, I always go for Aftercare when I want some info aura reading on my teammates because it has a nice activation mechanic and is a two way perk, I really like it.

I have similar frustrations when running Any Means Necessary or Empathy, watching one teammate waste every pallet in the first 2 minutes.

Solo survivor positioning and efficiency is incredible, isn't it? If only I had a dollar for every time I wonder "Why are you all here?" or "Why are you all there?" or "Why is nobody on a gen? There's a single objective for survivor and none of you are doing it."

I've personally taken to combining Empathic Connection and Empathy. Someone hurt, I can find them and they can find me. Put together with Autodidact or makes for a reliable healing build. Fourth perk is flex but I've been getting good value out of Renewal.

I've been doing the same! Atm I've been going for full roleplay with the Nurse so I've been using Iron Will+Bite the Bullet to patch my children up in peace

No offense, but hating Bond because it shows you how bad people are and using that as justification of giving up doesn't paint a great picture of how well you do either. It makes it come across like you have to be carried by your teammates to enjoy the game.

Yeah that's the reason I stopped using it, it just showed things I didn't want to see.
