Scourge Hook - Pain of Resonance
When 3 out of 4 hooks spawn on map's corners, 30 meters away of every gens...
Same when all 4 hooks just spawn right in the middle of the map, reachable from anywhere you down a survivor...
Honestly, can't you code anything in a fair way ? Putting two hooks in the "center" and 2 hooks in corners was too much to ask ?

Isn't almost everything in this game RNG-related in some way? Like it just randomly picks 4 hooks sometimes you get bad luck.

With already being limited to four hooks that can be sabotaged, it’s completely fair to expect and ask for scourge hooks to have minimum distances between them. It’s an overwhelmingly requested feature for good reason.

As a survivor I hate this idea cause the pain! As a person for fairness I agree these hooks need to have some space out and placed a little fairer.

If minimum spawn distances are added, then maximum should be too. If Scourge Hooks are made more consistent and less-RNG based (which is possible, but BHVR still love their RNG so stick it onto as much as they can), then having them all spawn at the far corners of the map wouldn't be fair either; they should spawn reasonably far apart yet not so far that they're simply out the way.
But still, BHVR love their RNG, so sometimes you'll just get terrible luck. Fun

Equip 2 scourge perks and you are fine

What is this supposed to mean? You only ever get four scourge hooks, regardless of how many scourge hook perks you bring.

I feel every hook on the map is a scourge hook when facing a killer with this perk.

Ye i guess it peaks hooks randomly. But it could be random with some restrictions.

Yes it depends, sometimes you will get gold spawns for those hooks and everytime a survivor is hooked the perk will trigger but sometimes you will have an awful spawn for all 4 of them and you will be able to use the perk only once or twice...

Not to high Jack the topic, but since were talking scourge hooks, can survivors tell which hooks are scourged?

It did that on the Artist PTB but apparently it was a bug and was fixed for live.
Not without the perk activating, no. Obviously if Pain Resonance activates then survivors will know you've got the perk and that one specific hook is a Scourge Hook, but there's no clear indicator.

I still don't know why they haven't coded something similar into the gate spawn mechanic.
Not too close, not too far and maybe not in direct sightlines. Shouldn't be too complicated except for the killer eyeline part.

Why are basement hooks not Scourge hooks anyways?

It was a corn field map... not the biggest one but every scourge hooks were placed somewhere i could not reach after usual chases.
I have used them twice only... i mean it is a perk you need to use 5 times+ for it to be worth it.
