Controller aim assist
Could we please remove/fix the aim assist on controller. Or even just make it less aggressive, maybe give us the option to turn it off. It's so horrible. A survivor does one little movement when I swing and I get auto-pulled to hit a tree two miles behind me. I assume mkb does not have auto-pull like that and controller players do not suffer bad enough to need it, especially considering it's screwed me out of more than it's gotten me lol.

me on my way to absolutely clobber the tree I wasn't aiming at

Yes for the love of God please let us turn it off!

Yes that's all I'm asking. I'm glad someone else agrees it's bad lol.

I can't tell you how many chases have been extended just because the aim "assist" decided to snap my neck 90° to the left and hit a tree

That would make survivor 360s ineffective so bhvr won't do it
Tbh 360s shouldn't be possible anyway
There's a reason its called a DEAD zone after all

I know right! Like how can the survivor be taking up my whole screen when I swing, yet I get a face full of tree when I hit lul.

Yes please do something about this BHVR. It's crazy how many times I whiff survivors because of this BS. It's especially bad with Nurse

Well they do also need to fix dead zones and balance pallets and hooks proportionately around maps better.

The worst part about it for me is not only did I get robbed of the hit, but then my camera is pulled in a direction I was not intending to aim and I get so lost in the recovery of the "assisted" swing lol.

The problem is, that change in direction and pull of the camera is not meant to help you. According to BHVR, that "aim dressing" is for the explicit purpose of improving the way the animation looks. It's there so that, when the killer does hit a survivor, the animation matches said hit.
Aim "assist" makes it sound like the system will help you get hits you shouldn't. It won't. This nonsense will only ever rob killers of hits they should have gotten. And we can't turn it off because it's not for our benefit: it's so that, when a survivor does get hit, it looks somewhat like a proper hit on their side. (And yet we still see so many videos of "that shouldn't have hit!" from survivors. Why the hell is this still a thing?)
I'm curious to know if this affects M+KB as much as controller. I've punished many trees while playing, and whenever there's more than one survivor it always strikes the one I didn't carefully adjust my aim to hit, so I'd like to know if we're all suffering equally.

360s are probably the most jank thing in this game survivors have. It's literally so stupid.

It's so dumb that this is almost exclusively a console/controller problem

I've hit so many innocent trees and walls cause of aim assist lmao

Yes considering the amount of times I play survivor and get hit by something that shouldn't have hit I'm really wondering why even still have it as well lol. It's such a detriment to controller killers.

Makes me not want to play killer very much because ita so frustrating. I thought maybe it was just because I played on console and it was laggy, but even switching to PC and using controller there it does the same.

Aim Dressing isn't a console-thingy or even a controller thingy, although it is more noticeable with a controller true. But PCrs also suffer from this, usually from a basic attack or lunge in a tight spot or from the butt-wiggle and/or attempted 360 of a surv.

Me when my lunge abruptly ends and I attempt to kill a box instead of the survivor

Yeah it's like I know you wanted that survivor but what about this box over here to our right??
