Anyone watch a slasher then come to DBD and play killer to regret it?
Title, or is it just me?
Been watching all the halloween films again, finished halloween kills and I was pretty hyped and in the mood to play myers.
Needless to say a few games of myers made me regret my decision, survivors just arent scared of anything (not that I blame them) and then even trying to do jumpscare I end up with a hacker...
Sad times for Michael, still love him but I'll leave him to films for awhile.

Survivors are the power role in this game unfortunately. In a game where you're supposed to be a scary killer, the survivors are the scary ones...

Nope I got this game because my friends played it and it was a way to stay connected after graduation. Also this game lost its scare factor after a month. If they removed the terror raidus then maybe it could comeback

Myers can be scary if you run tp and they are careless and cocky. It is funny how the panic kicks in when you kill one of them.

*Minor Spoilers For Halloween Kills*
You missed the deleted scenes in Halloween Kills when, right after Micheal gets up from a beating that would have killed any ordinary person, Tommy Doyle starts crouching repeatedly, runs around a car multiple times, and gets away.
Also, in an alternate ending, Karen is in a hallway and slams a piece of wood that was conveniently in the hallway into Micheal's head stunning him long enough to vault through a second story window.
I mean, Micheal can survive being shot, but his true weakness is lumber. Just keep that in mind and it'll make more sense.

As a Mikey main no I love him. Still love him four years later. Cocky survivors are some of my favorites to face. They're usually the ones who stand on the other side of a pallet or window and let you stalk them while they're busy teabagging or clicking. Then their team and eventually them pay for it.

Watched Friday the 13th franchise extensively; then, here in DBD, over time had to give up hope on ever getting the opportunity to main the big guy๐

Yeah sadly I dont get careless people and T3 isnt much of a threat when they can all loop and have quite a few safe pallets and loops.
I know most killers arent scary but it would be nice for a little panic when I'm in T3. I did okay but definitely not like the movies lol

I mean he can be, probably be year 7 if it was though, chapters are planned about 6months in advance and liscene was in court not long ago

When Michael came out he was in a very good place. It's just that over the years power creep pushed him way down. He'll shine again one day.

Do you get scared watching it?
The same goes for this game being scared only last for so long.

It's not so much him being scary, especially to me. I grew up on horror from a very young age but it's more about the power or lack of in their eyes.
Would be nice if playing killer kinda resembled that, I'm sure it does at low mmr but definitely not at high mmr. Just saying film to game experience is very different lol

We all grew up on horror or at least a good majority of us.
You have to stop looking at it as a horror game and more like a cartoon.

I watch a lotta horror flicks but not really any slashers. I prefer anthologies.

You pop t3 when you are close enough for the kill. Pwyf/enduring/nemesis could help you close the distance faster. You can also down and hook them normally and save t3 for later.
With Myers, when it comes to t3 you always want to be tap away from it and save it for the right time.
Also if you use tp, I suggest jmm add on which is good overall. If you don't have it then obsession one is good as well with nemesis.

I know how to play him that's not the issue, it's more the fact people just play smart and know how to counter him with little fear and hes quite easily stopped at the higher level.
And if I used those 3 perks I'd lose gens like mad, game would be over in a few minutes lol I'd like more than a few hooks in a match

Well with tp you don't really play for hooks if it is possible. You can also use corrupt to get enough stalk to make it 3v1.
But yeah ofc myers struggles against good survs one way or another since he is m1 no anti loop.
You can't expect much but tp gets you 1k minimum just like bubba.
I didn't said you don't know how to play, I just thought you pop 3 whenever you get it and expect miracles. Sorry if you took it the wrong way.

Itโs a possibility, tho it just feels like the devs have moved on from the passion they once had of making a F13th Chapter.
