Prestiging and loot
Prestiege feels pretty insignificant or significant if you main the character and want bloody clothes.
Than the insignificance gets taken even further beyond by shop with skins..
While losing all your stuff, however.
- However as much as I don't mind losing even 1000 purple flashlights, BPS offerings
I do mind losing "special" items and offerings, such as halloween, event and annivesary items and offerings..
Because those things, some of them never come back, they are actually rare,
and while I could use one of the items and offerings, I really feel like saving at least one..
And prestieging obviously gets rid of those aswell, and than I get in this tricky situation,
what if I want to prestiege but don't want to lose my deserved special loot?

The reason why I prestiged 3 a couple of my character is so that I can stockpile all my items, addons and offerings. On Nancy I have 18 escape Cakes. I have 72 winter party starters on Claire. Idk it feels complete to me but I only do it for the characters I really like

I understand where you come from. There is no solution, you will have to make a choice. 😅
This is a really solid advice, and i suggest everyone to do it as soon as possible, especially if you are collectors! The sooner you get to prestige 3 with a character, the faster you'll have a "storage like" character with which you can collect limited items and keep them there. 😁

It takes a while but it feels great to finally get to p3. When I level up a character that’s already at p3 it feels good. I have Zarina at level 50 not even prestige one. I wanted to get desperate measures to at least tier 2 and I went through 30 blood webs to Finally get it. It’s feels like I wasted bloodpoints. If she was p3 then it really wouldn’t feel like a waste

I like prestiging. The pitiful moment is when my friends that are against it have played more hours and collected more points than I did when I finished Prestiging every character on the roster.
Its enjoyable finishing and we don’t have to worry about losing anymore items or offerings in the future. Some people are stuck at the point of no return.

Didn´t they talk about changing something to prestiging?
I am close to getting all chars and killers to level 50. If i start prestiging... oh my god.
At the moment i only prestiged Bill to P3 on PS4.

Solid advice? it doesn't solve already having special items on characters, only gives you vessel to store it, but not a solution when someone has the loot already
and while I could prestiege all my characters and keep all the future loot, I will lose the old -> more valuable loot....

You don’t have to do it. It’s optional. I lost my Halloween and anniversary items, but after prestiging my Claire for example, my friend gave me her anniversary med kit and I managed to steal someone’s Halloween medkit in a game vs nurse. Now I got tons of items. And i stockpiled on the festival tool boxes and firecrackers.

May I suggest special offerings or offerings in general(ie not the flashlights,medkits etc) be account wide instead of being limited to specific characters that way you wouldn't need to make a storage character unless you really want to use event flashlights,medkits etc

Or devs could just change the prestieging mechanic, since shop people are more often running bunny hoodies or shirtless davids instead of bloody clothes.
Oh yeah while the items can be passed back and fourth, the offerings can't, the offerings....

I mean I wear my prestige clothing on some of my survivors as it tends to make you blend in more

I Prestige just for the hell of it but I totally agree that there’s no actual practical value to it so I would be totally behind something more interesting happening with it. That said we do know the devs are revamping the bloodweb system somehow in a few months so who knows, maybe the way Prestige works will become moot or change in that revamp too? 🤷♂️

I would say do not prestige unless you main a specific survivor/killer and just want to for the sake of it. Anyone who does it expecting to find vast riches in their bloodweb is in for a big disappointment.
