If a killer spends most of the match guarding a totem and a single gen and wins with it still up... your team did something wrong.

Here's a basic fact; there are 4 survivors and 1 killer.

Aside the rest of the discussion maybe don't forget that one side has a limited first person roughly 90 degree fow while the other has a 3rd person camera with nearly 180° fow and height advantage. Survivor can already see over half walls/obstacles and around corners without even showing the tiniest bit unlike killer which also most of the time have the added downside of the red stain.

Literally zero killers would complain if hex's had to be 'lit' and could be re-lit infinitely on any totem and took 14/4 = ~3.5 seconds to hex.
Let's not also pretend massive downsides are secret upsides.

IW/Shadow Step isn't going to matter since there's a blood trail.

No just make stridor able to hear survivors again when they use IW. But if a change must happen with IW the max should be 90% not 100% so stridor can still be useful.

I get what your saying but finding totems isn't that hard. I find at least 3 a game without trying to find them. The time investment is nothing to survivors because while your blessing a totem you have 3 survivors on gens or 2 on Gens and 1 keeping the Killer busy so unless your teammate is a total potato and leads the killer to you then you'll be fine.
The snuffing is a issue because most Killers won't take the time to look for a Boon because they CANT afford to waste time looking for a Boon and still keep map pressure.
When they brought Boons out the Devs should of seen this issue coming where they gave Survivors a perk that's worse than the original Hex: Undying that they complained so heavily about.
But as I said I agree with what your saying just that downside to Boons is not really that big of a issue to deal with considering.

I'm fed up playing against that combo.
My last match of yesterday was corn map with shadow step and iron will : pure BS. Snuff one, the other pops on the next block.
I think I'll start to bleed out survivors in boons games.
Not that I'll play again anytime soon.

I think strider should be able to hear even if IW is on. That is just stupid. perk vs perk = normal sounds level or a bit less.

The devs will need to change Iron Will itself, sacrificing a perk slot for a perk that may or may not be used doesn't sound good for me at least.

Well stridor helps out finding survivors easier it's just sad that they made IW totally negate Stridor because by all rights we are talking about regular humans vs a supernatural ability. But I may be thinking too logically for DbD

There is no ranking so don't bothered with the iri rank. As long as you played a lot you can hit the iri rank 1 on killer and survivors. How do you know what your mmr is when no guarantee confirmation was given to show the players? I don't even know my mmr unless you think it cause of the meta perks and swf.

Tired of dealing with SWFs ? Do not worry, the developers thought about adding a new feature to improve the soloQ experience. Now killers, you will have to struggle against soloQ almost as if it were a SWF. 😍
So yes, this change is indeed needed but many balance changes must be done before this feature is added as it will shift the unbalance even more.
Be sure about it BHVR, release this without balancing the game (better map layout, less pallets and less windows) and all killers, listen to me, ALL KILLERS will totally leave your game.

What is the exploit lol an exploit implies it is something that is not intended by the game and is being abused. Using perks together that are still counterable is not an exploit.

i paid money for the new killers recently so sadly i won't leave. but i do hate the game on the killer side its just its less boring than playing surv and more fun. again i still hate the game but playing killer feels entertaining even tho it sucks.

The counter is that if you ever recognise who put that boon you tunnel the ######### out of them, because they won't have DS.

i also agree with u dead hard only need a rework iron will is fine
tho depending on how u play, boons can be hell or just a little annoying
but its the same for killers they have some perk combinations that are absolutely busted + the fact they can camp tunnel etc doesnt make the survivors any more lenient towards them

I do think Iron Will is a little problematic, being able to completely nulify one of the major tracking tools a killer has with one passive perk.
What's even weirder is there was a perk that countered it, a perk barely anyone even used, and they STILL nerfed it :/

Hexes also affeçt the entire map, while boons only an area. Would killers be ok with hexes only working on an area of the map?
